Claire's POV
I was confused when Evander arrived on the stage out of the blue. His sudden presence threw me off, and for a brief moment, I almost broke out of my character. The way he delivered his words felt too personal, too real. It made it hard to distinguish between the act and my actual emotions. But I quickly composed myself. This time my lines weren't coming from the script or the character I was playing. They were coming from me, Claire.
My heart pounded as his words sank in, and when he hugged me, whispering his plea for a chance, my emotions boiled over. How dare he!
"Hah! A chance?" I said as my voice trembled with a mix of fury and heartbreak. "Look deep into yourself and think if you really deserve that! Do you really think you can give yourself a chance? Do you think you are capable of fixing the damage you have caused?"
