Ethan Kim, disregarding local warnings, buys the 5-story mansion in the 14th District, hoping to renovate and flip it. His loyal assistant, Jaehoon, expresses concerns about the area's notorious paranormal activity.

Park Minsoo, a talented fashion designer working from home, lives nearby. His family's dark past is intertwined with the Changgwi's history.

When Ethan moves in, he awakens Sooyeon, a changgwi (vengeful spirit) from the Joseon era. Sooyeon was a noblewoman from the Park family, brutally killed in the forest of tigers after being separated from her lover, Kim Sejeong, due to their families' opposition to their same-sex relationship.

As Ethan experiences terrifying encounters, he seeks Minsoo's expertise on local folklore.
