After seeing the screen on her phone, Gao Qilan finally felt relieved; it wasn't as expensive as she had imagined.
Going to play there seemed like a good idea.

However, seeing the abundance of snacks left behind, Gao Qilan couldn't help but say, "What about all these snacks? I'm already very full."
"Just pack them up! You're always hungry lately," An Xin said with a smile, leaving those around her momentarily confused.
"How do you know I'm always hungry?" A look of confusion spread across Gao Qilan's face; she couldn't understand how An Xin knew so much about her personal matters.
An Xin replied straightforwardly, "Of course, I asked your roommates because I was worried you weren't eating or sleeping well."
This explanation made everything clear to Gao Qilan. She hadn't expected her roommates to be completely won over in such a short time.
"Isn't that a bit inappropriate? You might be disturbing them."
Gao Qilan couldn't help but comment, only to find An Xin grinning widely.
This made Gao Qilan poke An Xin in frustration, wondering why she was becoming so shameless when she wasn't like this before.
"Don't worry, I definitely won't disturb them. We should hurry; we're almost out of time!" An Xin's face was full of smiles.
This sudden change left Gao Qilan stunned; the topic had shifted too quickly. They had clearly been discussing something else just moments ago.
"Wait, weren't we talking about something else just now?"
"Don't worry, I'm not changing the subject. We really are running out of time, and there's still some distance to cover," An Xin insisted, unwilling to admit she was indeed changing the subject to avoid further scrutiny.
There were many things she didn't want discovered, especially since she had secretly bought quite a few snacks for Gao Qilan's roommates to learn about her preferences.
Soon, the two arrived at the bumper car venue.
Upon seeing the luxurious decor, Gao Qilan exclaimed, "This is the cheap place you mentioned? It doesn't look cheap at all! Have you made a mistake?"
"We're already here, and I've paid. We can't just leave now," An Xin said innocently, her resigned expression leaving Gao Qilan somewhat exasperated.
Inside, they found a middle-aged man standing there, beaming with joy.
"Your presence really honors my humble establishment! I'm the owner of Bumper Car Mania; just call me Old Xie," Mr. Xie greeted them warmly and welcomed Gao Qilan and An Xin inside.
It was only after seeing the real scene inside that An Xin finally understood why Bumper Car Mania charged so much.
These were genuine high-end vehicles, replicated 1:1 for the bumper cars.
Maseratis and Lamborghinis were the lowest-tier models, mixed in with many unfamiliar brands, but the configurations on these cars were clearly top-notch at first glance.
An Xin remarked, "Are you sure these are bumper cars? What if we accidentally damage one?"
At this, the shop owner proudly smiled and said, "Let me tell you, I've contacted garages worldwide, and the top designers are helping me create these cars."
"Which means, no matter what, there will absolutely be no injuries inside."
Before he could finish, a group of young people quickly approached, addressing them upon arrival, "Newcomers, huh? Get their car keys ready."
Hearing this, Mr. Xie immediately responded with a broad smile, "Mr. Wang, please don't be mistaken. This customer here is new as well. Please don't confuse them."
"Really? This guy doesn't seem like someone with money at all. But never mind, are you interested in racing our bumper cars?" Mr. Wang challenged with a provocative smile.
He had immediately noticed An Xin's beautiful companion and thought it a shame she was with such a poor fellow.
With his resources, knocking her boyfriend down wouldn't be hard at all, and securing the beauty alongside him would be effortless.
"My name is Wang Jie. Nice to meet you both," Mr. Wang said with a dazzling smile, though it gave off a fox-like impression.
Mr. Xie hurriedly interjected, "They're new here; please, Mr. Wang, go easy on them."
Mr. Xie wore a helpless expression. Although he had attracted most of the city's customers, new talents like An Xin were rare.
If they were easily scared off, his business would suffer.
Having secured the help of many world-renowned garages was not just for consumption by the wealthy but to create more commercial value for himself.
With characters like Wang Jie around, constantly stirring up trouble wasn't ideal.
An Xin simply laughed and said, "It's just a race; no big deal."
This statement left everyone stunned; a newcomer willing to jump into an obvious trap was unexpected. Others would never have agreed so readily.
"You're serious? Our big brother doesn't play with just anyone. If you end up crying, don't expect sympathy," one of Wang Jie's lackeys warned.
The others joined in the taunting, surprised by how quickly the situation escalated.
Though their words cautioned An Xin against competing with Wang Jie, they secretly hoped to see An Xin suffer at his hands.
After all, they had been bored for a long time and eagerly anticipated some entertainment.
Wang Jie looked at those around him and said, "You should know that bumper cars are different from regular cars; they're harder to control. Backing out now is still an option."
"Are you joking with me? You're provoking me while talking about difficulty. Isn't it obvious you're trying to step on me because you find my girlfriend attractive?" An Xin rolled his eyes and directly got into the nearest car, which appeared very unremarkable with an unfamiliar five-pointed star emblem.
"You think this kind of car with an unknown brand can win? Are you sure about this?" Wang Jie was almost shocked speechless by An Xin's choice, wondering if An Xin was underestimating him or simply disregarding the competition.
Just as he was about to speak again, he saw Gao Qilan take her seat in the passenger side.
