Opened his mouth and said, "One pearl milk tea, please."
Soon, the pearl milk tea was made, Percy paid for it, took it and handed it to Isabel.
For her?
Isabel was slightly stunned before saying "Thank you" and taking it.
Percy wasn't speaking, he was just gazing deeply at Isabel.
Isabel held the pearl milk tea as if nothing had happened, took a sip, then smiled and said, "This milk tea tastes quite good."
Percy furrowed his brow, and his eyes were somewhat darkened.
Isabel felt that when Percy was facing her, his temper seemed to worsen.
To be honest, Percy seemed to have an ordinary background. Even though he was now an operational genius in the marketplace, he wasn't an exceptional figure. He always put on an arrogant and self-important demeanor, making Isabel, who had always been superior since childhood, inevitably feel that Percy was a bit too overconfident. It made her somewhat angry at the bottom of her heart.
However, because she needed Percy's help, she kept her temper in check. As if having a casual conversation, she asked, "I didn't expect to find such amazing pearl milk tea near the university. How did you find it?"
As soon as Isabel asked this, Percy's face became gloomy. His cold tone and clear voice asked, "Don't you know?"
The words from his mouth were not too emotionally expressive, but there was a touch of ethereal chill between each word, making it sound pleasant and yet unnerving. It sent a shiver down Isabel's spine and startled her.
Isabel turned her head and saw that Percy's eyes were locked onto her, with a torrent of emotions like anger, disappointment, and sadness. The content made Isabel shudder.
Isabel subconsciously took the straw out of her mouth and looked at Percy with a frown. Why was he so angry? It was as if she had committed an unforgivable crime. Moreover, was she supposed to know something?
Seeing the confusion in Isabel's eyes, Percy's heart got colder by the second. She truly didn't remember... He was a fool to think that revisiting old places would trigger her memories. If someone didn't exist in another person's heart, would they believe even after retelling the past events?
"Forget it!" Anger bubbled in Percy's eyes. Without warning, he reached out, snatched the pearl milk tea from Isabel's hand, and threw it into the trash can next to them. Then, he looked at Isabel, moved his lips as if to say something, but in the end, just coldly said, "You don't know, then forget it!"
After saying that, he turned around abruptly without paying attention to Isabel and walked back along the same path he came.
Isabel, left standing in place, watched Percy's retreating figure, somewhat bewildered. If she subtracted their late-night romance, besides asking him for help when she returned to the country and meeting him once, this was the second time she could recall. She was sure she hadn't offended him. Why did he become angry out of the blue?
Isabel followed the original path back and walked out of the pedestrian street, spotting Percy in an instant.
Percy stood alone next to his car with a cigarette in his hand. His face still showed his usual indifference, but his eyes were gazing at the back door of Starhaven University, lost in a haze of confusion.
At this moment, he seemed a bit melancholy, not as distant as he usually appeared.
With his tall and straight figure, he seemed deliberately restrained, standing unassumingly by the roadside.
