It was easy for the five of them to slip under the radar of the guards, who were preoccupied with their own defense. The darkened sky barely provided enough cover for Iris and her companions to travel undetected through the chaos. They left the castle, mingling with the army of night critters, and parted from them when they were about to reach the closest town south of the dark abyss.
