Chương 22: Bloodlines
Hedrick was immersed deep into the book the old man had left him. In the book, bloodlines are majorly categorised into four; common, nobel, Mystic and then Heavenly. The common bloodlines were of the low class people and these had no elemental abilities and depended on weapons and skills. Some have abilities like the body strengthening and levitation. They are only used as servants and the best are scouts,trackers or messengers. Next to them are the nobel, these have elemental abilities like fire control, water, earth, air, metal and wood. They are respected and have great futures on the continents and have chances of touching the Heavens. Next to them are the mystic bloodlines. They are relatively unique and have different categories and classifications. Under the mystic are the eye bloodlines, vampire bloodlines and demonic. These are extremely rare with an exception of the vampire. The eye bloodlines are classified farther to different categories but their abilities have been a myth to many. The vampire bloodlines have supernatural abilities and at some extent can control elemental, have super strength, super speed, and one of the strongest bloodlines on the planet. Lastly comes the Heavenly bloodlines which are also referred to as the bloodlines of the Gods. These are mythical and little information is known about them.
These bloodlines can be found on different continents on the planet while others need one to find spiritual realms. For example the eye bloodlines are rare and can only be found in the Northern continents also known as the Axle continents while the vampire bloodlines are found on every continent but strength differs in every continent. Some vampire are stronger than others in strength and elemental control. The demonic bloodlines are extremely intellectual and some legends say they have been hiding after a great defeat after fighting the Heavenly bloodlines. Others say these bloodlines find those that they what spiritually and even have the ability to posses flesh which higher experts of the demonic realm can actually create their own flesh after many years of cultivation. The Heavenly bloodlines are rare on the physical realm and are believed to be the strongest above the Demonic. Legends say that one needs to connect to the spiritual realms and then Heavenly realm to have a glance at them. They have the ability to influence human resources like weather, can create their own worlds and have the ability to even influence life and death of other bloodlines.
There are different levels of cultivation in all bloodlines and the higher the cultivation, the stronger the person. As the saying goes the predator always hunts the prey because of its strength. One who is strong will always be looked upon by others keeping other factors constant. The levels of cultivation are classified into seven stages; The basic foundation level, Consolidation level,The Growth level, The Ascension level, True Man level, Imperial level and Heavenly Spiritual level. Each stage is further classified into other levels which takes a great period of time to cultivate. One may even take hundreds of years to reach the True Man level and thousands to reach the Imperial Level. Every stage one reaches the harder it becomes but it's not impossible to reach the Heavenly level. Some geniuses have reached the Heavenly Spiritual level after thousands of years of cultivation so its possible. However, the higher the stage the more the resources needed for one to cultivate.

'You want him to take part in the Canopy Country Tournament?' Rita asked with doubtful face.
' The tournament is held once in ten year and we have two years to prepare in advance.' the old man replied with a sigh.
' But this boy is not even at the Consolidation level so how do you expect him to participate?'
' As for the training, you can leave that to me for he has the body fit for progress. Also help me find seven more people from the new group of students.' the old man said while watering the flowers with a small watering can.
' I understand.' Rita replied bowed and then headed back to where they had left Hedrick.
' Little friend, I hope you have not been bored while I was away.' the old man posses while rubbing his beards.
' Not at all.' Hedrick woke up from his dream of adventure and looked at the two people before him with an expectant look. Rita on the other hand looked at Hedrick while inspecting him from head to toe repeatedly like she was looking for something.
' Your punishment has been divided into three parts and each will take a certain amount of time to complete. First, you will have to clean the library next to every morning and evening for one month.' the old man announced with a cheerful look.
' Is it just that?' Hedrick asked with an unbelieving look. The way he was punished did not match the way Rita had reacted during the test so he could no help but ask curiously.
' Yes, little friend.' the old man replied with a smile. Hedrick then looked a Rita who looked at him with a mocking look like she was saying if you think it's easy then better forget.
' Can I borrow this book for tonight?' Hedrick then asked.
' Of course. You can take it as my gift to you.'the old man replied.
' See you tomorrow morning little friend and don't be late.' the old man said with a smile. Hedrick smiled back and picked the book from the table as he prepared to head out.
Hedrick then held the book and followed Rita out of the room as the once again crossed the small bridge. Rita then waved her hand and a portal formed.
' Good luck on your punishment.' she said with a smile and headed for the portal. Hedrick watched on as she completely vanished into the portal as it closed.
' I guess my punishment has already began.' Hedrick murmured to himself as he began to jog back to the dormitory.
