In the locker room, the atmosphere crackled with a mix of anticipation and determination.
Nakada, the standout player of the Barcha team, prepared for the upcoming match against Manchine City with a focused intensity.
His mind was thinking of the thing had told them about the final between the two unbeaten teams.
A full 90 minutes matches with an infinite amount of goal allowed.
This was fantastic to think about, he was excited for the match it was going to be just like the u-20 match but better.
This was goddam exciting to him.
And if he remembered right this time they were going to play in a stadium full of people so chances were his mom and sister were probably up that stadium.
He himself was in the middle of putting his Barca uniform on.
He then started to put on his captain armband, which was a bit too big for his liking but it would do.
As he adjusted the captain's armband around his bicep, Nakada's gaze held a steely determination.
The iconic emblem of Barcha emblazoned on the uniform served as a visual testament to the legacy he aimed to uphold.
Nakada's movements were deliberate and purposeful as he laced up his cleats, each knot echoing the meticulous attention he gave to his craft.
He would keep this team unbeaten status no matter what, he would do it.
The anticipation in the air mirrored his own, and as he stepped out of the locker room, the uniform-clad figure of Nakada epitomized the fusion of skill, confidence, and leadership that the Barcha team would bring to the pitch.
Nakada, having suited up in the Barcha uniform, took a moment to wrap the captain's armband around his upper arm. Lavinho may carry the title of captain on paper, but Nakada's actions spoke louder than any official designation.
He wasn't in the mood to tolerate Lavinho's perceived lack of leadership, and as far as Nakada was concerned, he would wear the captain's band until the end of the Neo-Egoist League.
Which was basically today…..
In Nakada's mind, this was not just any match—it was his last one, a final opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the league.
The weight of the captain's armband symbolized not just leadership but a commitment to elevating the team's performance, especially in Lavinho's apparent absence.
As Nakada reflected on the significance of the match, he recognized the potential to make Barcha the uncontested powerhouse in the Neo-Egoist League.
The thought of an unbeatable team, under his leadership, fueled his determination.
He couldn't shake the realization that Barcha's current standing was heavily reliant on his individual prowess.
The question lingered: Could they even secure a win without him? Nakada's internal musings carried a blend of arrogance and a stark assessment of the team's dependence on his exceptional skills.
As Nakada walked alongside his teammates toward the field, his thoughts lingered on the state of the team. Lavinho's lackluster coaching and the porous defense weighed heavily on his mind.
The burden of leadership had fallen squarely on Nakada's shoulders, and the prospect of Bachira single-handedly carrying the team seemed unlikely.
Nakada couldn't help but reflect on the pivotal decision he made. The thought that Bachira might not have reached his current level of excellence without Nakada's influence lingered in his mind.
The allure of Manchine City as a potentially better choice added a layer of doubt to his musings.
Despite these considerations, Nakada acknowledged the credit due to him for transforming the team from mediocrity to an unbeatable force.
The journey, though challenging, had showcased his leadership and footballing prowess.
Amidst the internal contemplation, Nakada sensed the contagious excitement emanating from Bachira. The infectious enthusiasm of his teammate acted as a counterpoint to the serious thoughts clouding Nakada's mind.
Bachira's joy for the game was a reminder of the pure essence of football—the love for the sport that transcended strategies, coaching, and individual decisions.
As they approached the field, Nakada made a mental note to set aside the ponderings about alternate choices and focus on the match at hand.
The anticipation of the game, coupled with Bachira's contagious excitement, infused the air with an electric energy that promised a thrilling spectacle on the pitch.
Nakada, walking onto the field, noticed the Manchine City players already in their positions, with Chigiri tying his laces. Chigiri's remark about their tardiness prompted Nakada to offer a nonchalant response.
"Huh, so you finally decided to show up," Chigiri remarked, looking up from his task.
Nakada, with a smirk that bordered on disrespect, responded, "Well, I can't blame you for wanting a front-row seat to witness your own defeat. Thought you might need the extra time to mentally prepare for the thrashing you're about to receive."
"What up, Chigiri! How you doing?" Bachira chimed in, his carefree demeanor cutting through the tension. With a smile on his face, Bachira waved at Chigiri, seemingly unconcerned about the conversation unfolding between Nakada and the Manchine City player.
"Nakada here might be all about the thrashing and defeat talk, but you know, we're just here to have a good time, and beat you," Bachira said, his tone light and playful.
A/N…this is definitely the last match I write for a while, I will definitely come add more during the summer at least by then there is more info in the manga or I have made my own storyline after the Neo-egoist league.
So far all I have made is the u-20 matches world cup.
Haven't fully decided on who moved on and that crap, have to think of how Nakada existence and all that so I can't just follow the real world example of how it went...i can't be lazy.
Then there is the world cup....yeah that is a whole new arc that I haven't made much progress on.
Also fun fact…i lowered Anrie's age to 19, because that felt better.
