I could feel Rin gaining on me, and just for fun, I decided to shoot the ball from where I was. The ball flew with tremendous speed toward the goal, and with no one to stop it, it eventually hit the back of the net.
The blue lock man, however, came very close to saving it, which piqued my curiosity. I had never seen such high-tech equipment before. I thought those holograms were just a one-trick pony and didn't expect to see them again after the first part of the second selection.
I smiled a bit and said, "Nice." Everybody on the field looked at my reaction with confusion. I had just scored a goal while being guarded by Rin Itoshi, the little brother of Sae Itoshi, and the only thing that impressed me was the goalie.
"Don't you dare turn your back against me," Rin said, seemingly angry.
"When I win, I would like to add you to my team," I said, looking back at him and smiling confidently.
You could call it arrogance that Nakada had already made up his mind about who he would pick to join his team before the match even started, but I just called it a fact.
I got back into position and waited for the kick-off to start, completely ignoring the angry Rin. As soon as the kick-off began and I heard the whistle, I saw Rin moving his body, causing me to step back. He shot the ball directly toward the goal.
I jumped in the air and bicycle kicked the ball with all my might toward his goal. He looked shocked, as if he hadn't expected someone to jump so high and have such control over their body while in the air.
The ball zoomed past every single player, and before anyone could react, a familiar whistle sound was heard as the score on the scoreboard changed to [Team White-Team Red] [2-0].
As I fell back on my feet, I slightly lowered my head and then raised it, crossing both of my legs. "You have been served the Nakada special," I said.
After those words left my mouth, I raised my head and walked toward Rin, saying, "Thank you for the assist."
He looked pissed, and for some reason, I felt like he was seeing somebody else instead of me in front of him. I shrugged my shoulders and walked back to my spot. Once I scored a hat trick, I wanted to test out my teammates a bit more and make sure they were up to my standards.
"That was a lot of styles," the player with long hair said while playing with his hair.
"Oh, we are about to lose," Tokimitsu said, shaking a bit as he spoke.
It seemed like he was terrified of how this match might end, and he even trembled every time he looked in Nakada's direction.
I, however, just smiled at him when I noticed he was looking at me, which seemed to terrify him even more.
Rin went to kick off again, and unlike last time, he didn't try some stupid trick. Instead, he passed the ball to Tokimitsu, who then passed it to the long-haired boy, saying, "Here you go, Aryu."
Aryu tried to gain more ground by moving forward, but he was stopped by Nagi. There was a strange flame burning in the genius's eyes as he saw Aryu trying to use his height advantage to get past him, but for some reason, he couldn't. And for that reason alone, Aryu decided to pass the ball to Rin.

But before the ball reached the prodigy, it was intercepted by someone as Nakada smiled and took control of the ball.
Rin immediately tried to take the ball back from Nakada, but Nakada instead flicked the ball back and over Rin's head. As the ball was about to land, Rin lunged to get it, but Nakada flicked the ball over his head again with a calm expression on his face. He then decided to stop playing with the little genius and passed the ball to Nishioka.
Nishioka moved forward with the ball, trying to create more space and opportunities to pass to his teammates. Tokimitsu tried his best to get the ball, but he couldn't. Nishioka managed to keep the ball at his feet before passing it to the left side of the field, where Nagi perfectly trapped the ball. However, before he could shoot, Aryu's legs got in the way, causing the ball to deviate from its intended goal.
But just before the ball went out of bounds, Nakada appeared just in time to save it. He kicked the ball in the air, seemingly aiming to score a goal from a weird angle. The shot was precise and powerful, and the ball spun perfectly in the air, as if it were a work of art.
A/N Nakada mentioned that he hates people who depend on others' skills when they themselves have the ability to do it. Nagi knows this, and if he doesn't show any progress, Nakada will see him the same way he sees Reo—as useless. And Nagi doesn't like that.
