We arrived at Imperial Towers, the island city was very beautiful.
"Let's check in" said Coach Michael as we walked through the doors of the building.
Without realizing it everybody was tired even though we had not done anything.
"Sure" I said as I rearranged my backpack since I was kind of feeling uncomfortable.
"Coach when will we get to go shopping for new clothes?" asked Grey.
"Tomorrow, for now you all should rest so your bodies will adjust to the time difference"
"Hi, we would like to check in" said coach Michael to the receptionist.
"Sorry but there's no room available sir, we're fully booked" replied the receptionist.
"That's not a problem" Coach Michael said as he pulled out a purple invitation card with the letters AGC on it in gold.
Seeing the card, the receptionist took the invitation which had not even be looked at properly by Coach Michael as she looked at the special code at the bottom of the other side of the card, as she fed the unique code into the system.
"Mr. Fable, welcome to the Imperial Towers, your rooms are already ready" she said with a smile.
"What?!" I wondered as she suddenly said that our rooms were ready when she herself said that there was no room available.
In a second a burly man walked towards us with a smile apparently, he had been informed of our existence the moment the code from the invite was entered into the system.
"Mr. Fable I presume" said the Burly man, "My name is Rodney Wells, I in charge of helping you all settle in" he said as he led us to the elevator.
"Nice to meet you" replied Coach Michael.
While we just shut up and followed behind them, tired and sleepy, as we made our way to our rooms Mr. Rodney gave a quick brief of the situation concerning the competition currently.
Imperial Towers with a mind blowing One hundred and eighty-seven floors. Thirty floors had been allocated to house the invitees from all over the world. A huge Arena was open on a private floor for the competition. They would be competitors from all over the world and conflict would arise as not all coaches were on friendly terms with one another.
So far only about seventy contenders had arrived and were all scattered all over the thirty floors. The competition would take place at different locations in the city. The first phase would take place take place at imperial towers. The number of contenders were supposed to be about five hundred contenders but even now barely twenty percent of the total contenders had arrived.
The AGC did not start for another two weeks, this was to help the contenders in the AGC adjust their state of mind and prepare for the competition.
We had registered our information as contenders on the hundredth and forty ninth floor.
"It looks like the AGC this time around will be even more intense than past years" commented Coach Michael.
"It will surely be that and more" said Mr. Rodney, "Incredible talents were discovered in Europe and England, with it being said that some of the black horses are coming from Asia, while your team is one of the fifteen African Countries participating" he added.
"you boys need to rest because it will only get more interesting here" said Coach Michael as he turned to see us walk behind them like walking corpses.
We were very tired indeed, so tired Grey was unable to complain about the new revelation which only spelled more intense training for us for the next couple of days.
"Your athletes don't look too good" said Mr. Rodney
"Don't worry about them, they are just tired." He replied.
Unknown to coach Michael, Mr. Rodney's thoughts were somewhere far away since he just thought about Coach Michaels reputation as the Devils Coach, he could only imagine what happened to make us that tired.
"This is your room" said Mr. Rodney as the elevator doors to the floor our rooms were assigned, "Your boys will be placed in the next three rooms beside yours separately" he said.
"That's perfect" said Coach Michael as he agreed with how the arrangements were made.
Mr. Rodney handed us our key cards before leaving.
"Alright, you boys better rest before people start saying I'm trying to kill my contenders" said Coach Michael with a light laugh.
Nodding we each went to our own rooms to rest.
Stepping into my room, it was the most luxurious room I had ever been in, even though it was simply decorated, the view alone was amazing. I finally understood why the rooms cost so much for just a night.
"Hyla, I believe you can take this time to relax, I do not believe that we our adversary followed us all the way here" said Blue.
"That's great news, but I don't understand it seems as if I can't seem to make any progress with my levelling right now" I said sat at the edge of my bed.
"Well that was to be expected level twenty is a major turning point, level ten was super easy for you to advance through thanks to the adjustments I made to your body back then" he explained.
"Is there no way I can get past this point sooner?" I asked.
"For now, focus more on the Competition, I'm pretty sure you meet people who can give you a run for your money in this competition" he said, "plus it's also beneficial to help you advance to level 20".
"Alright, I'll do just that" I replied.
"Good, now rest"
Grey just dumped his bag on the floor the moment he entered his room as he headed straight for his bed as he fell asleep on the super comfy bed nothing like the one in the dorms. As for Enri he just stood by the window gazing into the distance, thinking about something but he did not stay there for too long as he went to bed as well.
