Chương 26: Little Fox got job

"Yes, I learned it from you, " Ivy blinked her eyes.

Esmeralda had no words to retort because her sister was right.

"Damn, Ivy I wish I didn't love you this much at times like this, " Esmeralda mumbled. Then she opened her arms and said, "Come here." When Ivy hugged her, she kissed her forehead. "I'm proud of you. You have my full support in your career. But you aren't moving out from my place until I'm sure you can live alone in this foreign country."

Ivy shrugged. She succeed in convincing her big sister to let her stay here because she couldn't buy alcohol and she hated cooking.

"By the way, what company are you working with?" Esmeralda ended up asking.

"WJ-Technology, " Ivy said and Kierra choked on air.

"What happened?" The two girls asked and Kierra felt as if she was going to die. WJ-Technology was run by both Jade and Westburry family. It was the reason of the feud between both the families. None of the family was ready to sell it to others. They hated each other to the point of holding on to this company until today. Although the Jade and Westburry family had equal shares in the company, none of them had CEO from their side. The current CEO was a neutral party having a peaceful relationship with both the families.

"N-nothing, " Kierra mumbled. "I'm going to get some water."

Ivy and Esmeralda looked at each other but didn't say a thing.

"About the man…"

Before Ivy could say anything, Esmeralda said, "No, I'm not talking about Mr Steel Blue eyes again."

"I searched him on my system, "Ivy still finished her talk. "If you want you can have all the information on him. I will send it to you in the email."

"I'm not prying into someone's private life, "Esmeralda said.

"As you wish, "Ivy said with a shrug. As she went inside her room, she sent the email to her sister.

Esmeralda heard the ding and ran to her room to read the information. Come on, she was a curious fox. She saw that Ivy had sent her another email where she could see a shirtless Oliver kissing a blondie in a strip club.

This damn girl and this Jerk!!!!!!

The talk with the mommy Fox didn't go well. She was mad at her daughters. Esmeralda ran away from home at sixteen to fulfil her acting dream and Ivy ran away at eighteen to fulfil her own dreams. Daddy fox was trying his best to calm down his wife but his wife was not in any mood to listen to anyone.

Thankfully, he cut the video call before his wife started the violence.

Esmeralda looked at Ivy who just shrugged.

"I have to go to the office to sign the contract. Can you book me a cab?" Ivy asked after a while.

"I will drop you at your office, "Esmeralda said. "That's your big day. I have to drop you off today or what kind of big sister would I be?"

Ivy agreed. It was one of the rare days when Esmeralda chose to drive herself. The office wasn't far from her place. It took them forty minutes or so. Although her sister was being cooperative at the time, she could tell that Esmeralda was worried about her. Her sister just thought that she was going to be fooled.

"Do you want me to come inside with you?" Esmeralda asked her, worriedly. Did she want to see which cruel human would make a child work in such a big company? Ivy was her baby. She was just worried about her.

"Nah, I'm cool, "Ivy said, holding her coffee and walking inside the office. She approached the receptionist and said, "Aviana Fox."

The receptionist seized the tall girl who was dressed in loose jeans, a crop top and an odd yellow blazer. It was certainly not a dress code for the office but who cared. The girl was too young to belong in an office.

"Aviana Fox for the meeting with Mr Lawrence?" The receptionist said. Ivy nodded her head. "Mr Lawrence is waiting for you. Miss Lily will lead you to the meeting room."

Inside the meeting room, Knox Jade, one of the shareholders of the company, was sitting on the chair while Asher Westbury, representative of Westbury industries, was sitting there with his wife Violet.

Simon Lawrence, the CEO was once again sitting between the two hostile parties. His secretary whispered something in his ear and he nodded.
