Hiro reached for a slice of beef, holding it with the chopsticks, dipping it briefly into the broth before holding it to Raiden’s lips. "Come on, open up."
Raiden took the bite, savoring the rich, tender beef that exploded with flavour in his mouth. "Mhmm this is perfect." He praised, smiling as he pulled Hiro onto his lap. "You're perfect, Hiro."
Hiro giggled. "I didn't even do much. It's just food and a cake."
"Still perfect." Raiden insisted, pecking Hiro on the lips before taking another bite of beef. This was his first birthday celebration and it was perfect because Hiro was there.
Hiro was his favourite everything and even if there was no food, no cake, no decorations, it would have still been the best birthday ever so long as Hiro was right beside him.
Or under him.
