Chương 3: Dreams and Aspirations
As the days in Blue Eye passed by, I found myself engrossed in my studies and research, eagerly awaiting my awakening to discover the superpower that lay dormant within me. Today, Reggie, my trusted driver and bodyguard, dropped me off at home after school, as he had been doing for the past two years. We had developed a close bond, and he always entertained my endless questions with patience and huhumour"See you later, Reg," I bid him farewell with a smile as I stepped out of the car and entered my house. "See you later, buddy," he replied, driving off to attend to other tasks. As I made my way to my room, I was greeted by the household staff, an ever-present reminder of the privilege and wealth my family enjoyed.
I could tell that my parents, Evan and Emilia, were preoccupied with their work. With both of them being powerful A-grade Supers, it was understandable that they had numerous responsibilities to attend to. As an eight-year-old eagerly awaiting my awakening, I swiftly changed into more comfortable attire and completed my homework. But my real passion lay in my research about superpowers and the realm of superheroes.
Oh, how I wished there was a way to predict my powers in advance! It would give me ample time to create an impressive superhero identity with a fitting name and a cool costume. Alas, such knowledge eluded me, and I could only daydream about the possibilities that lay ahead.
Unlike my siblings, Gregory and Cassandra, who had already awakened and attended their respective academies, I was the lone unawakened child in the family. My parents had chosen not to join a guild, opting to focus on running their businesses instead. However, I longed for something different, inspired by my memories of my previous life.
My heart was set on entering the comics industry and eventually exploring animation and live-action as well. While I admired superheroes and their powers, I didn't envision myself as a crime-fighting hero. Besides, with my cautious mother keeping a watchful eye on my activities, venturing into dangerous escapades seemed like an impossible dream.
But for now, I decided to cherish the present, savouring every moment of my childhood. Overthinking the future would serve no purpose. I was determined to make the most of my life, finding my path in this world of Supers and seeking a creative outlet in the fascinating realm of comics.
As I delved back into my research, I couldn't help but feel excitement and curiosity bubbling within me. My awakening was only two years away, and I was determined to embrace whatever superpower fate had in store for me. For now, I would enjoy my family's love, Reggie's companionship, and the freedom to explore my passions.
The journey ahead held endless possibilities, and I was ready to embrace it with open arms.
