The looming threat of exposure to law enforcement, who remained oblivious to their dealings with the El Lobo Cartel, added an extra layer of fear to their already fucked up situation.

Dante's worried expression mirrored the unease that gripped them both as he turned to Lena, seeking reassurance from her. "Do you think this could mess up your deal with the government?" he asked, his concern etched on his face.
