"Good night," Liam said softly as he saw Oliver going to the door. A worried Oliver could not even bring himself to look behind Liam because Liam's parents were in the living room, looking at the two of them.
"I'll see you at school?" Oliver asked hesitantly. His voice was very low, as though he was scared that if Liam's father heard his voice, the man would go crazy on him.
"Sure. See you."
With one final nod and a look of worry, Oliver left. Liam didn't return inside until Oliver's bike zoomed off before he faced his parents. Not that it was just the three of them left, but he knew how the conversation was going to turn out naturally and wasn't looking forward to it. If he said he wasn't nervous, then he was a big liar. How would you feel if your parents caught you kissing a boy? That was exactly how he felt.
