Chương 10: Selling of some maids

A week after Sir Frederick's visit, it was time for him to pick up the maids he had requested. Sir Otto had selected ten maids, it was left for Sir Frederick to pick the other ten.

Sir Otto gave his maids a speech, "...so you all have to be on your best behavior. Any silly act would lead to punishment. He'll choose the other ten maids of his choice. No need to shed stupid tears. You're being resold, not killed..."

Sir Frederick came into the hallway.

"Let's have a talk, friend", he said to Sir Otto.

They both left the hallway and went to a room.

"Thank you, pal", he said, hugging Sir Otto.

"It's nothing compared to what you've done for me", Sir Otto replied, letting out a loud laugh. "I already picked out ten, pick any other ten of your choice"

They laughed, and went back to the hallway. Sir Frederick took a gaze at all the maids in the room. He carefully scanned them, "You", he said pointing at one of the maids, he selected about six maids, before sighting Aria. "You as well", he said, pointing at Aria.

"Me?", she asked.

"Yes, of course, who else do you think i was pointing to", he picked out Madam Flora, and picked two randomly.

"Is that all, my friend?", Sir Otto asked.

"Yes, thank you", he replied, hugging Sir Otto.

"You can pick more, y'know"

"No, thank you", he said, with a smile.

The maids were led to the car, with their little luggage. It was a long drive, they were tired and hungry.

Aria was seated next to Madam Flora. "I really wish this new place to be better than Sir Otto's place", she said to Madam Flora.

"I hope so too, dear", Madam Flora responded.

Hours went by, and they finally arrived at the mansion.

The maids got off and were led into the mansion. They stood there waiting for the new Master's family.

They were waiting to be addressed. The mansion was much more bigger than Sir Otto's own. The massive hallway, and the statues used for decorations.

Sir Frederick cleared his throat before addressing them, "I'm Frederick, Sir Frederick to you, I have other maids as well, they'll direct you. My family and children are not around, they might want to speak with you, whenever they get back. Do not pass your boundaries, and stay out of trouble."

"Yes sir", they all murmured...
