Chương 35: Strength goes in both ways

"So, why are you guys here specifically," Seth asked the group.

Zeal held Seth on his shoulders with his saddened face.

"I'm glad you are okay. We left the Holy Kingdom... You might've heard the rumors, right?"

Both Gester and Aila looked at Seth with smiles. That kind of which felt a bit forced. Zeal then continued with what he was about to say.

"The two Nations of Iru and Zan attacked the Holy Kingdom without notice. Not only that, they were being backed up by the rebellion that was organized under Vlad. We hurriedly got out of there for the Holy Kingdom wasn't prepared for such an attack. We were lucky to escape. Just only recently, we heard of the outcome of the war while we were trying to get out of the Kingdom's borders, and sadly... the Holy Kingdom reigned no more."

(It was a good thing that they decided to get out before things get out of hand. Although I'm saddened by the Kingdom's downfall, I'm just an 18-year-old boy who got a bit strong. Generally, how should I act in such a situation in real life? Although I'm trying to get stronger to face those two whom Uriel somehow deemed responsible for this, there is nothing I can do to fix what has happened without my notice.)

"Wait, what about Lady Sycia and Lord Roman, are they with you?"

Alice got close to Seth and held his hand.

"They said... they wanted to be left behind... I tried to tell them off but the next thing I know, I was in a carriage far away from the capital."

Zeal then butted in from their conversation.

"We were ordered by her father, and Lady Sycia was the one who put her to sleep."

(They must be dead already, I presume...)

Although it was a bit of a gloomy atmosphere, Seth wanted to continue the conversation.

"I see... why have you visited the library, are you guys here for something else?"

"Oh, we were trying to look for a map and draw it so we have a guide. We plan on moving out of this continent and going to the Repreus."

Notice: Repreus is known for having peaceful countries and nations. They also welcome people who enter their continent.

Gester then asked.

"How about you, where do you plan on going? Do you want to come with us to Repreus?"

"I... I plan on staying here in this country for a while. I'll make sure to look for you guys when I travel there."

"Well, just be careful. You said before that you dream of exploring the world, right?"

"Make that a promise! That you'll come to visit us in Repreus once you're done here!" Aila Shouted as Alice looked at his face.

"Fine! I promise to visit you guys there. It's a promise, so expect that I'll come once you guys settle there."

The group then continued to look for the Continental Map for Repreus as Seth went over to the other side to look for something else to read. He then entered one of the Private rooms.

Seth sat down and let out a big sigh.

Notice: Wars often happen a lot in the history of this world. It is also normal for them to take hostages as slaves. There is still a possibility that at least one of them is alive.

(Uriel, you really are trying to be positive here, huh? In normal RPGs I've played back in my world, it's normal for a princess' relatives to die from such situations. If that is the case, then surely, Lady Alice is that princess, and I must help her avenge their deaths. Or in a positive light- if they are still alive, I will rescue them.)

Notice: The user is feeling saddened.

(I'm not emotionally prepared for such occurrences, to be honest, Uriel. The killing of people didn't happen in front of me but seeing it directly affect people whom I've enjoyed being with makes it hard to accept that such things happen. I'm okay killing monsters and I know someday, I too will take the life of another.)

Notice: The power of the user is for the user to use. Uriel is here to prioritize the user's survival. That is the main reason that Uriel exists.

(All I know was that Uriel was the voice of the system. That Uriel was the inner voice that stuck with me even when I upgraded Auto-Battle into Auto-battle Godkin in which a soul of a god resided in me. Uriel went from telling me some combat knowledge into supporting everything I do, like an actual person I can talk to...)

Notice: Uriel is here for the User no matter what path he takes.

"Then promise me this as well, Uriel."

(Once I don't have control of myself, make sure to bring me back to my sane self. Although I always let you control my body from time to time, make sure to override it when I'm acting indifferent. That way, I won't be too hardheaded when I get too powerful. Although I'm just a teenager, I understand that I alone am not enough to handle the power that I desire. No, it is because I'm just a stupid teenager that I don't know how to handle things on my own.)

"Uriel, I order you to prioritize my survival physically and mentally."

Notice: Uriel will make sure to prioritize the survival of the user both physically and mentally.

After an hour or so, the group was done copying the map.

"Nice we are done. We can head once we buy some supplies."

Seth then got out of the Private Room.

"Do you guys want to take a bath with me in the bathhouse?"

(This might be our last time seeing each other for a while since I'm heading out of the city tomorrow morning. I should at least spend the rest of the day with them.)

Aila responded quickly to Seth's invitation.

"Oh, you mean the bathhouse near here? I've always wanted to try it!"

"Well, I got the whole day to spare before going out of the city tomorrow so I can hang out with you guys."

"Yeah, I think we got a lot of time as well. We can go to the bathhouse and relax there for a while."

(It really does look better when you guys are cheerful like before.)

Seth let the group get out and go to the bathhouse first as he said that he forgot to look for something before leaving.

(I'm sorry Alice, But Sevy is the person that caught my eye. I know you are the damsel in distress but I only see you as a friend. Maybe I'm just stupid but this is my second life and there is no way that I won't pass this opportunity to keep in touch with a Fox Lady.)

Seth then walked passed by Sevy.

"So, do you know the best place that serves the best food here, Sevy?"

"Hmm... if you are looking for some good food, I suggest the restaurant near the southern park. It's called, Feast of the Beast. They serve the best meat cuts from wild barbed boars. There is also a good restaurant just a couple of blocks here called, Dry Fins. They serve a multitude of dishes with the main ingredient being Sand Eels."

(Those are some rare animals I haven't seen yet. I guess I can take the others in the Dry Fins today after we take a bath since it's close by. And I can take Sevy out in the other one tomorrow morning before I head out of the City.)

"Thanks, that's helpful."

"Thank you as well, Mr. Seth."

(Alright, time to take a bath.)

Seth tried to smell himself a bit before entering the bathhouse.

(Wait, I can't smell anything.)

Notice: Bathing is irrelevant to the user.

(You've said that before. Is that really true?)

Notice: As a godkin, all impurities of the body are purified. The user's body doesn't show any accumulation of dirt or odor.

(I can still take a bath and relax, I guess.)
