Chương 22: Calamity

"just get out of this place!" cheeks heating up Veranda turned her head away from Alex, "I don't think that's a good idea Ms Veranda, Master will kill me if he knew that I run away in a face of a calamity,"

"and beside, Im just here to watch the battle, and if you got yourself in trouble "again".I could help you... ' " Alex Answered cheekily

" fine do what you want ! " Veranda rolled her

Front Line

in the open field of the academy a man wearing a full body military Armor while wielding a giant Axe was standing in the middle of the incirclement of hundreds of revolutionary warriors, he was Mr Harvey

"Devourers take the first line of defense"Mr Harvey yelled as group of warriors with bulging muscle cold faces while holding both swords and shield came forward to incircle the spinning ball of smoke

Devourers (Crowd Control Units) are warriors that undergo hellish training to make there body sturdy enough to endure attacks from monsters , they duty is to block zombies or monsters that want to go out of the incirclement

"Destroyers take the middle line "he continued , warriors holding spears, axes, swords and other melee user surrounded the Devourers

Destroyers ( fighters, brawlers) are warriors that is skilled in weapons they duty it to quickly annihilate enemies in there way

"reapers go to high grounds" a group of warrior wielding range weapons like Guns and bow run towards the closes buildings, hills and high trees

reapers (marksman) they are trained to kill enemies in a distance helping the defenders to thin the number of there enemy using there powerful range weapons

This guns and bow , are weapon that could not be easily used by ordinary human, a bow made for a level 5 mutant human would need a force close to 1 ton just to pull the string alone,

a gun that was meant for level 5 mutant are unusable for people without the required strength , recoil may hurt them or if they tried to shoot it will not be accurate.

Mr Harvey looked towards the students , he was suprised to see Veranda and Alex was also on the group, he smiled then said "its good to see that's some of our future generation Revolutionary are already taking a stand in our war"

"but in the time being you bunch are not ready to face this battle yet but alas all of you could became our last line of defence so remember don't enter the front line, UNDERSTAND! "

"WE UNDERSTAND!" the students yelled in unison

"good! " giving Alex a meaningfull glance he gave a small nod returned to the front lines

Alex knew that he want him to look after Veranda so that she can't get into trouble, looking up he could already see that the calamity was already formed "its about time"he murmured

"braised yourselves"Mr Havery yelled

*dooom* * booooom*

a defening sound wad released by the calamity as a smoke from its body dyed the sky with red revealing a small red orb in a size of a palm, a moment later the red orb begins to expand to a size of a foot ball field

*rooooar* *rooooar* *rooooar*

the sound of mutated zombies can be heard as the portal slowly descend 25 feet above the ground,

after a short delay zombies with various mutation level started to came out of the portal

*bang* *bang* *bang* *bang*

reapers immediately started there assault in the middle of the of the incirclement they couldn't fire near there allies because they might injured them if they missed

Devourers raised there shield while swinging there sword , they keep the crowd of zombies from surrounding there allies, only letting 15 to 30 zombie breach there first layer of defense at a time, enough for destroyers to kill them before another batch arrive

Alex , Veranda, and the group of student was just standing outside the scene watching the battle between the zombies and revolutionary warriors

Alex could see that the highest mutation of this zombie is only in mutant level 8 and the majority of them are in level 4, while the warrior had a majority mutation of level, 6 the highest was obcourse Mr Harvey with phase 2 level 5 mutation

"Ehh It look like there's no need for us to be here, the defender already got every thing under control "Alex thought

"so how did Vernada died from this? " Alex looked into Vernada's with a puzzled look , he could see that she was clenching her sword tighter

its been a while now but not even a single zombie escape from the circle formation , students was holding there weapons but didn't even get to use them

Alex could feel there frustration coming from the students if the news spread that this top students only stand here to watch as the defender annihilate many zombies , wouldn't that be disgraceful?

"I can't take this any more!!! "The yell from one of the student break Alex from his thought as the student started to dash inside the battle field while holding his spear

Alex sneered "o look a retard courting death" after a short while another student also followed "o look another one "

third person followed as fourth , fifth ... Alex could see that Vernada seem want to follow as well "don't you dare think about it Ms Veranda , Mr Harvey ordered us to hold our ground "

hearing this Veranda gave Alex an angry look "I don't care! I'll go if I want to go who care about that old fart! " with that she dash towards the battle field

seeing this Alex smiled bitterly "this is going to be a disaster " holding his sword he followed Veranda in side the battle field
