Chương 4: The New World

// Trillesta, Elysium Kingdom //

Trillesta, The world is created by an unknown god or goddess at the beginning of time and live by different races in the world, multiple continents stretch out with its civilizations. In the center of the world where the world tree is connected to this world, a continent surrounds this tree with five parts of a different civilization.

In the western land is the land of the Kingdoms where the human race is populated, in the eastern land has two parts, in the far east is called East Star or 'Īsutosutā' (イーストスター) where the majority humanoid or beast people, then center east that has most of the landmass in the eastern land is called Eastern Empire, in the northern land is the land of two kingdoms, the Elven Kingdom ruled by High Elf Royalties and the Dwarf Kingdom ruled by a chieftain or a dwarf king, and lastly in the southern land is the Republic Cities which lead by the people of the state which are called the senate.

Its been almost a year since my birth in this world. My current family is a royalty of the Elysium kingdom located in the western kingdoms, it is one of the three greatest kingdoms in the western kingdoms.

My family consist of my father, Victor Elysium the current King of Elysium Kingdom, mother is Elizabeth the Queen, my grandmother, Beatriz Elysium the Queen Dowager, my older brother, Alfred Elysium the first Prince, my older sister, Jeanne Elysium the first Princess, and my twin sister, Katarina, second Princess. I, Talon Elysium the second Prince in the second in a line of the successor of the throne.

It is quite snowy in this kingdom, it is quite chilly due to being in winter whenever we are brought outside to look the capital city while incognito with our mother and couple of royal knights following behind. The city is quite beautiful even though it is covered by layers of snow during the first month of winter.

Its been almost a year since my birth, my current lifestyle as a baby is a normal one but I been dubbed with my twin little sister as a genius. Even though my current lifestyle as a prince is great but it might become my disadvantage in the future because they should be a strict rule when appearing to the public eye and everyone will watch my every move.

It should be not a problem if I become a low key and not announce early to the people of Elysium but due to certain traditions ever since the ancestor has made that every child of the royalty will be known on their first birthday which is the problem.

Even though I like my current lifestyle, this is a disadvantage to me based on what I plan for my future but Valerie and Vanessa told me before I entered this world that they will help me if the situation of mine is a disadvantage to my plan, they will send their people that they can help me get out of it. They should know my situation, will send their people to help to get out of this situation.

Anyway, my family already have plans for us twin to have our debut on our first birthday. It a troubling situation, I don't have any means to getting away from this, I also don't want to get a title like a genius prince or anything at all but rather I become a low-key prince than known prince which is only known to few trusted people of the royal family.

About half a month left before Katarina's and my birthday, an entourage of four people which probably most important and well-known individuals known to the world. They are Spirit Ruler based on their element, Salamander, Spirit King of Fire, Undine, Spirit Queen of Water, Gnome, Spirit King of Earth, and Sylph, Spirit Queen of Air.

This is the only information on their first audience with my parents after the other leaves on their request and places an anti-spy barrier in the audience room. They probably detect my <Clairvoyance> spell that I learn during my first year here to learn what going on, upon entering the castle for every thirty minutes, I tried to use it for gaining experience on it and as another training in mana control. They left after removing the special barriers, father and mother went toward the room where we of the twin is located then talking to each other in secrecy with a worried expression.

The four spirit ruler must tell my parents that there are a danger in the future fall upon us, twin, and asked them permission to take us away, they were only given few leeways that mother can with us for at least three more years after that unable to see us until the promised time, and father can visit us with the same condition with mother but only can stay for at least once a month. The surname they will be using is different from their royal surname, which will be used by us, twin, in the future.

After half a month has passed, today is Katarina's and my birthday, there's no celebration going on, no announcement to the people of Elysium Kingdom but few trusted and important visitors including the three new arrivals that came with four spirit ruler. We are located on a remote location from the Elysium kingdom's Capital in a western-style royal mansion covered with snows in the whole area.

Before the four spirit ruler, the subjects or trusted nobles of Elysium who tried to change the decision that had been made by my parents for some personal or national benefits, but my parents didn't change and stand firm on their decision even their eyes shows slight regret on their decision.

The four spirit rulers came with two other probably their entourage or equal standing. Once again, they introduce once again including the three other companions. The other three are Wisp, Spirit King of Light, Shade, Spirit of Darkness, and Dryad, Spirit Queen of Wood/Nature.

Gnome: "King and Queen of Elysium Kingdom, it is time to make your decision."

'Mm… they are the spirit king or queen based on their elements, I want to know as a spirit what energy they will use.'

I stare at them while slowly infusing my eyes with mana until to the point that I can see the energy surround them. They have their signature energy but have based energy on their elements.

Father and mother look at each other for a while as if they are still debating their decision even they already decided then finally they truly decided and look toward to Gnome.

Victor: "If our son and daughter can live longer and trains under you by the orders of the twin goddess, and we think about this, it is actually for the best for our son and daughter."

Gnome: "Good, Dryad, can open toward that 'place'."

'So this is optimal mana for seeing spiritual energy and seeing it is believed that they are truly spirits but unknown that they are spirit king on their respective elements.'

Gnome look at Dryad who already closed her eyes and gathering energy to summon something.

Dryad: "I'm already doing it, so be patient, and it is already hard to create a pathway for our spirit but a pathway with humans."

'Oh… they can gather their respective elements as their source. She has a wood element based on a brown color that she is absorbing.'

Undine: "Dryad, let me help you."

'She has a water element based on the blue color energy.'

Dryad: "Thanks sister Undine, can you use the water-energy for me to use as another energy source and Sylph, can you help us since your energies are compatible for what we need to summon."

Sylph: "Hehehe… Sure, sister Dryad."

'She has wind element based on the green color energy.'

'… Let me try to absorb this type of energy to see more.'

I slowly absorb spirit energy to my body as I gather them then guide it toward to my eyes which is the same principle of <Mana Sight> and slowly the spirit energy on elements of wood, water and winds until to the point that I can see the brown, blue and green particle surrounding us and gathering at three separated points. They probably notice me by now but only those whose elements that I already absorb but the other didn't.

'Huh… I thought that I can see more than this but I probably need to see or absorb other spirit elements to see more clearly.'

It is quite disappointing that I can only see the elements of wood, water, and wind but the other isn't. Undine and Sylph starting to gather a massive amount to their respective energies, Salamander starting walk towards them and asked them in an arrogantly way. When I saw Salamander surrounded by red particles which is the fire spirit element.

Salamander: "Hey, do you need help?"

'Oh… so that is fire spirit element energy.'

Dryad: "No, we don't need your help."

While Dryad tried to reject Salamander's help offer, I look at others' aura to learn what the energy is and try to feel it then gather them in my body. Salamander look depresses after being told that his help didn't need it. Wisp and Shade glancing at mother and father respectively for a time as if they want to ask a question to them but didn't continue.

As I watch them gathering spirit energy, I tried to gather every element spirit energies from the same source they gathered, then carefully cover my eyes with it. My sights become colorful with small different vibrant colors orbs, when I was able to place the energies to my eyes, I gain an ability <Spirit Sight>, also I felt that gained attention from the four spirit ruler at the same time for a moment.

When I tried to turn my head toward to Dryad and the other to look, I saw three-color orbs gathering in three spots, Blue orbs in front of Undine, Brown orbs in front of Dryad, and Green orbs in front of Sylph. Once I look at every spirit ruler, I tried to remove the same energy that I infuse to my eyes, it was successfully removed but a wave of mental fatigue came over and became very sleepy. I tried to stay awake until whatever Dryad and the other to summon.

A few minutes later, they manage to summon a <Forest Walk path> showing the other side is a house that embedded to a giant tree (A/N: Refers to the Legend of Mana, Home). The seven spirit ruler looks at my parent who currently carrying us once the gate has appeared. Looking at the other side of the gate is quite confusing because the other side is not snowing but rather it is seem spring on the other side.

Gnome: "Please enter the forest gateway, King Victor and Queen Beatriz."

My parent nod and enters the gateway while carrying us, after entering, they turn their body to look at the gateway and sees a few of the nobles tries to enter with them but stop by Salamander. We couldn't hear what they are saying but they may try to argue way in as 'Trusted' servant of the kingdom as they are even my parents aren't fully trusted them as they have grieved. After stopping those nobles, the seven spirit rulers enter the gateway immediately and the gateway starting to slowly decompose itself until it disappeared.

Dryad: "This is where living for a while with the children, Beatriz."

Undine: "During your stay, you can't use your surname with them and they will use another surname until they return to your family."

Gnome: "This is only a safety precaution for the future but they will return to your surname soon since it is only a temporary surname given by the two goddesses themselves."

Mother: "Can you tell us what is that surname so that we can watch over them?"

Salamander: "No."

Father: "Why!? Why didn't let us know-"

Mother: "Please Victor, I know they won't harm our children, I feel that they will protect them until they return them to us."

Father look at mother then sigh sorrowfully, and stop complaining to the spirit rulers.

'I didn't expect they will stop complaining early than expected and mother is quite faithful towards the spirits themselves.'

Sylph looks around then claps once to get everyone's attention and looks at us with a cheerful expression.

Sylph: "Since you already stop from whatever you complaining about, let me show you around the house so that you can prepare your stay for three to four years."

We explore the place and decided the room allocation by mother which is a mother will stay in a single room with us for now.

It is been four years when I reincarnated to this world, I been living with my mother and little twin sister. I also started to train in secret on my swordsmanship, archery, and mana control but found out by Gnome but didn't stop me and gave a book on wood-crafting after inspecting my training wooden sword that I made as my training with mana control.

Well, not too many events that happen in these three years staying in this place called "Mana Home" by the spirits. But mother will leave us today as promised to the rulers of the spirit and all of us gather in front of the gateway, the same gateway used going here.

Mother and Katarina (A/N: Talon's twin sister) are hugging and crying each other since mother going to leave us, I join in the group hugs and also slightly cry but didn't show. Dryad gently taps the mother's shoulder.

Dryad: "Sister Beatriz, it is time to leave."

Dryad and I gently separate mother and Katarina slowly after they are separated, Katarina hug me immediately and continue to cry while me trying to console her as my hand patted her head gently.

Mother: "Talon and Katarina, forgive your mother for leaving you here."

After a few minutes of crying, Mother left through the <Forest Walk Path>, Katarina cried herself to sleep. Dryad tried to take Katarina to bring her to bed but stop at the door and look at me and asked.

Dryad: "Do you think that -****- return gradually will be good to her emotionally?"

"Yes, it is better for her to -****- return to our family."

Dryad brought Katarina to her room and other spirit rulers followed inside except for Undine who is watching me, looking at the spot by the disappeared <Forest Walk Path>. It started to rain but I ignore it and let it showered over me, about an hour or more, Undine started to talk to me with a worried voice.

Undine: "Do you think this will be okay for you and your twin sister?"

"I don't know but I know that I don't want my twin sister to hate our family instead I rather she hate me."
