Two days passed since Sylus made his escape and crossed the Elysian border. He's asked every person he saw where he could find the closest village. The answers he obtained lead him to Felmin Village, a small town founded by the Felmin family eighty years ago.
Sylus, exhausted and weak, finally made his way to Felmin Village. However, before he could arrive at his destination, he passed out.
"Where am I?" Sylus groaned.
Gaining some awareness of his surroundings, he sees that someone must've rescued him after he passed out.
The room he laid in now was small, with sparse furnishing. There was a chair next to his bed, a bowl of water sitting on it.
The door to the room opens to allow an old man entry. He has short blonde hair and wears a blue shirt tucked into white pants. He looks to be in his early 60's.
The old man looks at Sylus with a surprised expression. It seems that the old man didn't expect Sylus to wake up so early, since the first time he saw Sylus, Sylus was in a wretched state, with bloodstains on him and shredded clothes.
The old man walks over, moving the bowl of water to sit down.
"I didn't expect you to wake up so early. I thought it would take at least a day before you would regain consciousness."
"I have a pretty tenacious body due to everything I've experienced in my life." Sylus's voice was weak as he spoke.
The old man nods
"I can see that pretty well."
Sylus tries to get up, but his body refuses to move as commanded. Seeing what Sylus was doing, the old man told him stop. Sylus had no choice but to agree, given that his body won't move even if he wanted it to.
"So, old man, did you save me?" Sylus asks.
"No it wasn't me but my granddaughter. And please, My name is Wilson. Wilson Felmin."
Sylus smiled
"Well, you can give your granddaughter my thanks, Wilson." He begins, slowing his speech near the end as he reaches a realization. "Wait... you're part of the Felmin family? As in 'The' Felmin family?"
Wilson, couldn't help but smile as he heard Sylus's tone.
"Yes, I'm indeed part of the Felmin Family. My son is even the head of the village. Are you surprised to hear that?"
'Well from what I've seen as an assassin, this is a dog eat dog world. I've never seen anyone help a stranger before. Given that the person that saved me seems to have a good amount of power in this village, why wouldn't i be surprised?' His train of thought is broken as he realizes the old man is still waiting for him to speak.
"Yes, of course I'm surprised the family in charge of the village would actually go out of their way to help a stranger."
Expecting the answer given to him Wilson replied back "Not everyone in this world is cruel you know. If everyone is out for each other all the time this world would be destroyed and happiness wouldn't exist in this world."
Sylus nodded in agreement and right before he could say anything else the door opened and what appeared was a girl, she was beautiful girl with long blonde hair with a beautiful face having green. She was wearing a white robe and she seems to be around the age of 17.
Seeing the girl come in Wilson introduced her to Sylus " Sylus this is my granddaughter, Emily Felmin. She the person who saved you and took care of you the most out of everyone in the household. Emily finally being able to see that the person she saved name was Sylus she smiled and said
"Nice to see that your recovering well." Sylus was mesmerized by the smile for a bit before replying " Thank you so much to save me miss. I now owe you a huge favor." Happy to see that the person she saved doesn't seem to be a bad person she nodded. " Don't think of how you can repay your favor yet and just recover ok." Wilson seeing what she is correct and agreed to her. " That's right Sylus you should listen to her. I mean looking at you it can be seen that you've went through hell before reaching here. Seeing that Wilson stopped before asking how he got in such a state made Sylus appreciate Wilson even more seeing that Wilson is a wise person.
"Yes i know, my body won't even respond to me even if i wanted to leave. So you can be sure that i'll be occupying this room for the meantime". Laughed Sylus. Seeing that Sylus won't be leaving anytime soon both Emily and Wilson were happy and left the room after saying their good nights to Sylus seeing that the outside was dark. To be saved was the last thing Sylus expected in his life. He remembered being told by his teacher that no one will help you when your down and you can't expect anyone to help you either.
Sylus thought to himself [Well teacher Ankor, you were wrong about people not helping others when they're. From what I see there are people that would help other out of the kindness in their heart. This world isn't as bad as you made it out to be.} Sylus then closes eyes and sleeps with a smile knowing that they're people right beside who will take care of him.
