Chương 105: Drink Up

Before any others could say something to change his mind, Archer unsheathed his personal dagger. He cut his palm, allowing fresh blood to seep from the open wound. He showed it to everyone in the room, before smearing it across his chest.

"Now, do you believe her?" He asked the room with his head held high.

"We believe you, and by extension, her," one of the council members spoke.

Safira held her tongue. She didn't want anything she did to jeopardize the situation. She looked to the council, happy to see that the members seemed to work well together. She could see the younger members of the council looking towards her intently.

None of them said anything, only silently watching. With the council's approval, Safira spearheaded the effort in making the cure. Another obstacle appeared before her when the council members were not keen on her being the one to mix the cure.
