Chương 9: Norman House
Alice who was reminiscing, about her husband and Erika suddenly notice that Erika has fallen sleep, "Stephen I am sorry, I am not able to protect her" Alice said a tear run down her cheeks, but before that tear can fall it evaporated.
Alice was the protector of house Norman, and as per family's traditions, she cannot interfere in household matter, she can train, protect to extent but nothing more. It was this shackle that prevented her from blindly supported her adopted granddaughter.
She sighed then she looked at Erika and a gentle smile appeared on her face.
She used surrounded mana and lifted Erika before placing her gently on bed.
'I have the man that stupid son of mini choose, it should be better for him that he doesn't bring a lustful man, like last time' Alice though as
She covered Erika in blanket before disappearing form the room. Leaving Erika sleeping soundly.

(KNOCK)
"Come in" An authoritative voice sounded from behind the door
When Jay enters the room, he was stun for few second, why because how luxuries this was
A golden chandelier hanging from the roof, premium quality carpet on the floor and if that was not it, may panting, small status embedded with different type of gems and, what actual made Jay stop was an artifact.
In front of Jay, a golden armor was trapped in a glass case." This is a S-tier armor on Earth" Jay mumble before his pale golden eyes start scanning the man who was looked at him at start but now,
He was glaring at the man who bring me here. "Chris, is he the powerful master you were talking about?" Vincent asked
'His name was Chris, we talked about many things but, I didn't even ask his name'
Suddenly a heavy pressure descended on me, it was so sudden and unexpected that before I can understand anything I was pasted on floor.
Jay groan in pain as the pressure keep increasing, "is this the powerful master you were saying" Vincent shouted.
Chris start trembling in fear,
"Useless, my son and you his loyal servant are all useless" Vincent said before his again increase on Jay
'If only I had my power' Jay thought before he felt that he was about to faint.

Alice saw this whole exchange, and a frown appeared on face.
"Didn't my useless bring this child, so now why he is trying to kill him"
Then Alice glance at Jay, an amused smile appeared on her wrinkled but beautiful face.
At least this boy has some guts,
Jay was pinned down by the pressure of Vincent his eyes never waver, and Alice who was a king stage cultivator quickly notice killing intent in Jay's eyes.
"Oh, so even when facing this kind of pressure, he still wants to kill my son, who is several times stronger than him"

In Vincent's office.
Alice appeared and cancelled Vincent's pressure as it was nothing,

Jay vomited blood as suddenly all the pressure disappeared, he tries to see who save him but before he can see. A gentle voice sounded in his head "Go to sleep" and as this was a lullaby Jay fainted.
"Mother, what are doing?" Vincent shouted
A heavy pressure descended in the room,
"Vincent, it looks like you forgot who am I, right?" "So should I remind you?" Alice asked in a threatening manner, there was no gentleness in her voice.
"N-No mother, I apologize for my rude behavior" Vincent quickly apologizes as he knows what kind of person his mother was.
When he was young, his mother always disciplined him in most painful way possible, if not for his father, Stephen he might have died at his mother's hand
That is what Vincent believed
Alice then glances at Chris, who quickly bowed and left the room.
"Now tell me what is going on? And remember do not dare to lie ok" Alice asked
Vincent start recounting everything that transpired, from how Dale kidnapped Jay, how Jay scare Dale, how he asked Chris to check if Jay was a threat, how Chris reported that Jay was a powerhouse, to how I asked Chris to bring Jay here so we can resolve every misunderstanding to how I try to kill his so no one will know that I got scared.
Vincent told everything without omitting single detail.
"Ok now I understand that why you tried to kill this child, But I still don't understand why marry Erika to him" Alice asked as she was unable to understand that her stupid son was thinking.
After hearing her question Vincent evade his eyes again,
"Speak" Alice said as she releases her king stage aura.
"Mother, please calm down, I am speaking," Vincent said "According to report, I got from Dale and Chris, he was blood thirsty person, s-so"
Vincent start staring as suddenly pressure increase several times inside room.
"You want to send you daughter to blood thirsty fiend so she suffers" Alice said as she starts walking toward Vincent who was rooted on the same place because of pressure and fear.
'How can he be son? Do I not raise my children properly?'
'Yes, that might be the case, Stephan I failed to raise our children' and many more…
Her eyes have turn red, because of anger that her son try to ruin her granddaughter's life or because she was not able to kill this piece of trash,
She clenches her fist and (bam), she delivered an upper cut, the punch was so strong that Vincent broke some walls before fainting.
Alice after punching Vincent Calmed herself down before picking Jay in princess carry and disappearing.

Because of commotion caused by Alice, all the guards rushed where sound was coming form,
"It was family head's room quick, protect family head" The guard in front shouted as he dashed toward family head's room.
Following him all other guard also followed behind as ran, many start conjuring different spell.

Dale's room
He was sleep beside a bulky man when a loud sound of wall breaking wake him up.
"What's going on?" Dale said before he swiftly wears his clothes, and dashed toward his father's room where the sound came from.

Erika's room
She was sleeping, when loud sound of wall breaking resounded in whole Norman Mansion,
She quickly stands up ready to go, when she notices her grandmother, who was holding a man in princess carry.
When she saw her grandmother, she calms down, why because, if Alice is not making a move, then everything is fine.
Alice looked at her grandmother and then Jay who was unconscious in her arms.
"Grandmother who is this?" Erika asked as she saw a handsome young man.
Although he was unconscious, but his handsomeness does not decrease even a bit.
Alice then simple dropped him on the ground.
"Ouch"
"I know you are awake so stand up" Alice said in a tone without any emotion.
Jay who was pretending to unconscious opened his eyes, before sitting on the floor.
Jay then glances at both people with a serious expression on his face.
'I should have followed what other main characters did and never accepted that invitation'
'What were you thinking you fool, you scared shitless their young master, of course they will try to kill you'
Some thoughts ran in his mind as he continues to glare at Alice, why because she is old, they not charge his with impure thoughts.
Alice who got annoyed after been glared by Jay, "If you don't stop, I will kill you" Alice said in an angry tone.
Erika who was standing at side till now sighed before offering her assistance to stand Jay up.
"Here" Jay to ignored her hand and stand up dusting his clothes.
It looked comical as he was so dirty, with blood, dirt and pieces of dry leaves pasted on him.
"Introduce yourself" Alice ordered.
This time Jay retorted "Don't you think? This is going to far, first the man molester, then fatty and now you old hag. What wrong with this house?"
Jay said all this, but start regretting right after as suddenly a heavy pressure descend on him.
"Don't go overboard Boy, otherwise…" before Alice can finish what she wanted to say Erika interjected.
"I sorry on behalf of my grandmother" Erika bowed
"Erika, you should not bow to a mortal" Alice shouted
"Yes, that is not your mistake. You should not bow" Jay said.
Listening that Erika stop bowing.
Alice then looked at Jay and asked again but time it was not an order.
"My name is Jay Valaris, and that's all I remember" Jay said
"Boy, stop testing my limits and answer properly" Alice said in a cold tone.
"I am not lying" Jay said in a firm tone "And are not a SS ranker you should able to detect if I am lying or not"
Alice glare at Jay before taking out an artifact, it was bracelet called "Do not lie" a 2-star artifact.
"This is a 2-star artifact that can detect lies of a mortal, so don't you dare to lie" Alice said
