"Milady it is for the best to go back inside." Ciaran cautioned her.
Luciana was too shocked to heed his advice.
Ahriman came from behind and found them in the garden.
"The master has arrived- wait what's going on here?"
He hurried towards Luciana hugging crying Nemesis tightly.
The same reaction passed through him whilst looking at the carcass that was slowly melting on the inside barely leaving the features of the dead servant.
Mina was beside her staring at it in horror.
"Ciaran what's going on here?" Ahriman inquired about the sudden tragedy that befell them.
He winced and closed his eyes for a moment.
"The perpetrator is on the loose. Commander came across a dangerous foe."
"What in the-?" His reaction was cut off by his commander's interference.
"Get away from that carcass!" he warned them. He darted towards Luciana who was holding Nemesis and swept her from the icy ground covering her as it exploded behind him.
The servants and knights barely escaped the consequences of the explosion. Ahriman and Ciaran had carried Mina away in time.
They were too speechless and stared in awe at the result. The carcass remains left on the ground covering the leftover dirty snow in a pool of red blood splattered everywhere.
Luciana trembled and couldn't bring herself to ask what just happened. Nemesis cried in Erebus's arms as he held him staring at the remains. When nothing happened, he returned him to Luciana's arms and slowly proceeded to the site of the explosion. Both knights followed him without hesitation.
Nothing remained of it.
"When did this happen?" he inquired them.
"We're unsure of the case commander." Ciaran proclaimed to have arrived at the fortress sometime before dawn.
-"Just when I had been dealing with that raven." he thought as the air around him felt darker.
"It was your son who found it here, commander. He was playing with Leo, your wolf, and thus we found him near it crying." Ahriman testified in the case.
"You." He stood up and looked up at him.
"Where were you when you were supposed to guard her?" his voice became louder inducing fear in them. His expression had turned darker.
"It was my fault!" she suddenly cried out.
Erebus looked back at her when she gave Nemesis to Mina who was taking the boy inside the fortress.
"Lady?" Ahriman stammered fearfully.
"I-I was the one who sent him away. I needed time alone. He only followed my orders."
"Hah?" he turned back and walked towards her where she stood her ground unmoved.
Although the entire incident had left her shocked and weak.
"You ordered him to defy my command?"
Luciana did not reply but tried her best to not show her fears.
"I am returning to my chambers. Ciaran, warn everyone of the intruder and you... Go receive the men. They will arrive shortly. Send Jafar to my office immediately."
They obeyed the command and vanished instantly half of it was to escape his wrath.
He grabbed her and took her to the chambers without paying attention to the painful moan she let out occasionally at his tightening grip around her wrist.
She obediently followed and found Mina with Nemesis in front of the doors.
" Master! Lady! " she called out to them. Nemesis' eyes were swollen from all the crying.
"Get inside," he ordered her. She obeyed instantly.
He entered the bed-chambers still holding her followed by Mina and Nemesis.
"Master... What's going on?" Mina managed to question him.
"I should be the one asking that." he retorted back.
"What happened while I was away?"
"Nothing happened before until today. I assure you that," she replied.
"Did anything happen out of the ordinary? Something that appeared or somebody while I was not here?" he cleared himself this time.
"Yes, a raven appeared on the patio of your chambers," she replied.
"A raven!" he looked at them wide-eyed.
"Y-yes, it was injured and was nearly unconscious. The lady treated its wounds."
"What-!" he looked at his wife who stood clueless about what he meant.
"You treated his wounds?" he asked her.
"Y-yes I did. It was dying from cold and the injuries..."
He could no longer bear to listen to her.
"Enough." he rubbed his forehead with his forefinger and thumb.
"What have you done?" he muttered in dismay.
"Where is that raven now?"
"I took it out of the fortress. It had strange golden eyes, my lord. I had a bad feeling about letting it inside."
"So you planned on putting it to loose in the wild." he glared at her.
"Do you realize what you've done?" he asked them darkly.
"Master... Is that... A perpetrator we let loose inside the fortress?" she felt her stomach churn. A vile taste filled her mouth. She was left in shock.
"Did you touch that raven?"
"No master. I carried it with the cloth. It was unconscious by the time I picked it up."
He looked at Luciana for her reply making her flinch.
To her dismay, she had to agree to touching it.
"Take the child with you. You're dismissed."
Without a second glance behind Mina took Nemesis by his hand and led him out of the room closing the doors behind her. The room fell silent when Erebus stood up and walked towards her.
He confirmed the details from her and let out another sigh of dismay.
"Strip," he commanded her.
Luciana felt as if something hit her in the face after hearing him.
"Wh-What?"
"I said, strip," he said it again making things more complicated for her to understand.
"I-I d-don't understand."
"You'll know soon," he replied without wasting another moment he roughly picked her up and proceeded toward the bed.
She tried to free herself from his clutches.
"No!" she begged and cried. "Please let go of me."
He dropped her on the bed and stripped her of her clothing.
She trembled and tearfully looked down when he was done; ashamed that her efforts to stop him were futile.
He grabbed her wrists to stop her from hiding herself from him. She squirmed trying to wrench herself free from his grip.
"P-Please let go!" she cried.
"Stay still. It won't take long."
