Makai and I started to actually prepare the meal now. I was chopping the various vegetables and meats so that they were ready for when Makai needed them. He was preparing the spices and the pans that we needed while also getting the bread ready to go into the oven. When he was done, he came over to stand next to me, brushing his hip up against me in a nonchalant way. It was like he was saying 'oops, was that me'. It was so funny to see him trying to get me to hurry things along, but I wasn't going to give in. I was making this torture session last.
