"I have said all I have to say, your majesty." Lefron responded.
"How can we be sure that this child is my granddaughter? I mean, I understand that she has Valerio's eyes, but that is not proof enough." Lucius shook his head at him.
"I don't know what more proof you need, your majesty, but this is all I have. I cannot dare to be here and claim her to be Prince Valerio's child if she isn't. Lying to the king is a very serious crime, so I cannot dare do such." Lefron shook his head with utter respect in his tone.
"I see." Lucius nodded and got up from the chair.
He grabbed Valerio's hand and pulled him up from the seat.
"Follow me." He said to him and yanked him along with him.
They stepped out of the library, and Lucius glanced at the bodyguard.
"Keep your eyes on them." He ordered, and the bodyguards nodded.
