"Want to try me, boy?" Boomed a commanding voice. From the depths of the shadows emerged a looming figure striding purposefully.

The man stopped before the trembling students, his gaze boring into Travis's eyes with penetrating intensity. With an almost imperceptible shift, his gaze flickered towards the rebellious girl, whose iron grip on Travis's hand nearly paralyzed him. "And you, young lady." He said with a mocking smile. "You will release him, and tell me what have been you doing here when you are supposed to be safely tucked in the bed at home?"

"Well..for the starters...Hello brother!"

Contrary to her brother's warning, Clary twisted Travis's arm with relish making him groan. She gave a mocking smile to her brother, who was gazing at her sternly for not greeting him properly.

All the students there, except for Rick, stared at Clary in disbelief, and some whispering among themselves when she called the towering man her brother.
