"There is nothing you can say that can change my mind, I am going to do what is right, because that is what needs to be done" said Mason as he seemed to be arguing.
"Look Mason, I am telling you, this is none of your business, you do not need to get yourself involved in something that does not concern you at all, that is between them and not you" said Amalia as she looked at Mason, she was trying to convince him to drop his stupid idea.
"I do not know why you are defending her so much, we both saw her doing what she was doing with our own two eyes, and yet you defend her and you are now even trying to protect her??" asked Mason as he looked at Amalia.
"Look I am not defending anybody, I just think it's best if you stay neutral in all this" said Amalia.
"After all, whatever it is that we saw is their own business, and not ours, we have nothing to do with this" said Amalia.
"I do not get why you care so much" said Mason as he looked at Amalia in disappointment.
"After all, I will be saying the truth, the truth that I saw with my two eyes, and I even have proof" said Mason.
"Hey, hey, you two, what's all the noise about??" asked Lexi as she walked into the kitchen with a tray in her hand.
"I can hear you both arguing from down the hall" said Lexi as she placed the tray on the countertop.
Amalia and Mason had come back from the errand of buying new glass for the bodyguards quarters, and as soon as they returned Mason let his mind run wild with an idea of his.
"The Madam is cheating on the Boss" said Mason straightforwardly.
"What??" asked Lexi in shock.
"I have proof" said Mason.
"Me and Amalia, saw the Madam and her lover at the hardware store early this morning" he said.
"Yes, but that is not all at all" said Amalia.
"Mason wants to get himself into unnecessary trouble by telling the boss" said Amalia.
"What??" asked Lexi as she turned to look at Mason.
"Mason please don't do that, I beg you" said Lexi.
"Exactly!!" said Amalia.
"Mason, listen to Lexi and me" said Amalia.
"Don't get involved" she said.
"No, I will not listen to either of you" said Mason.
"I must get involved, I must tell the boss, he deserved to know that his wife is unfaithful" said Mason.
"Look Mason" said Lexi
"Believe me when I tell you that it's best not to get involved with the Madam's matters" said Lexi.
"Just take a look at me, I am a living example of what you do when you get involved with that woman" said Lexi as she sounded regretful.
"I am still serving my punishment as we speak" said Lexi as she sighed.
"So please believe me when I say that it's best you mind your own business don't get involved" said Lexi as she tried her best to convince Mason not to say anything, she was truly scared of the Madam, that woman was truly ruthless in all her dealings.
So she did not care if she was cheating on the boss or not, she only cared for her job, which she needed dearly, and she did not want any trouble, and she also did not want Mason to get himself entangled in something that was not his problem.
She felt it was best if the boss found out himself, and not through them, that would just spell trouble for them, and it would be no help at all.
"You are only saying all that because you are scared" said Mason.
"And that is a good reason" said Lexi as she was sure that Mason did not know what truly the Madam was capable of.
"That's only for you" said Mason.
"As for me, I am not scared of anything or anyone, and the boss must know that is my final decision and no one, or nobody can change that" said Mason.
"Look Mason, I do not want you to loose your job" said Lexi.
"And neither do I" said Amalia, she truly could not believe that the Madam was cheating on the boss, she was sure that the Madam seemed like a nice person after the talk they had.
Sure it was no hidden fact in this house that the Madam and the Boss were not on the best of terms but they were good parents, and according to what Amalia had heard, it was the Madam that loved the boss deeply, and it was the boss that did not love her at all.
Which brought the question of why they married anyway, but no one working in this house knew that, all except for Alfred, who you could say was like a family Butler.
"The Boss takes care of that woman, he gives her a roof over her head and food to eat, and she dares to go and cheat on him, with some guy" said Mason.
"That is not our problem" said Lexi.
"I thought you both were women" said Mason.
"If a man cheats on you, no one would hear the end of it" said Mason.
"And yet, when a woman cheats on a man, it does not matter at all, the story changes because it's a man" said Mason.
"Men are always blamed in this world, and for what?? as if we are not people too" said Mason as he was angry, this was injustice and unfair.
"That is an entirely different story" said Lexi.
"How is it different??" asked Mason.
"Please Lexi, tell me how this is different??? Cheating is cheating" said Mason.
"I know that" said Lexi.
"But you forget that these people are not ordinary people, they are rich, and look their matters are more complicated to handle than we poor people" said Lexi.
"The key word there is that we are all still people" said Mason
"Regardless of if you are poor or not, we are all the same" said Mason.
"That is not the case right now" said Lexi.
"Look I do not want to be charged with ruining someone's marriage" said Lexi.
"Like their marriage was not already ruined anyway" said Mason.
"Can you three all please tell me what is going on here??" asked Alfred as he walked into the kitchen with a stern look on his face.
"Nothing Alfred" said Mason, Lexi and Amalia all at the same time as they looked away.
"Oh is that so??" asked Alfred.
"Because, all the noise I was hearing on my way here was nothing??" asked Alfred as they all went quiet and they did not say anything at all.
"Oh well alright then, I guess it was nothing" said Alfred as he did not believe any single one of them at all.
"Amalia, have you started lunch yet?" asked Alfred as he turned to look at Amalia.
"Ahh No, I thought that it was Lexi's turn to cook today" said Amalia as she looked at Alfred.
"No, who told you that, you are no kitchen duty all throughout the week" said Alfred.
"Oh Umm, okay" said Amalia.
"Let me get started on Lunch then" said Amalia as she went to the kitchen sink to wash her hands.
"And you Mason, I need you to go to the office today" said Alfred
"Apparently there was a home packaged delivered to the office address and I need you to pick it up" said Alfred.
"Alright Alfred" said Mason as Lexi and Amalia turned to look at him with a warning gaze, if they knew Mason, and they did, he was going to go tell the Boss.
"And you Lexi what are you doing here??" asked Alfred as he turned to look at her.
"Ahh Ummm, I brought the tray from the bodyguards quarters" said Lexi as she turned to look at Alfred.
"Very well then, get back to work, you three are not being paid to do nothing" said Alfred.
"Yes Alfred" said the three of them in a chorus, as Alfred walked away.
"Lexi come with me, the south wing needs to be cleaned" said Alfred as he turned back.
"Yes Alfred" said Lexi as she followed after him.
"And you Mason, go to the office now" said Alfred.
"Yes Alfred" said Mason
...
"Sir, someone is here to see you, he says that he's from your house" said the secretary as she entered Dom's office.
"Really??" asked Dom and the secretary nodded.
"Alright then, send him in" said Dom.
"Alright Sir" said the secretary as she went out of his office, and a few minutes later, someone else walked into his office.
"Sir, I am very sorry to bother you" said Mason as he walked closer to Dom's desk.
"That is alright Mason, please have a seat" said Dom as he figured out that maybe Mason had something very important to tell him and hence why he was here.
"Thank you sir" said Mason as he sat down.
"Sir I have something very important to tell you" said Mason.
"You have my full attention, I am listening" said Dom as he looked at Mason.
"Sir, it's about your wife" said Mason as he went straight to the point.
"My wife?" asked Dom and Mason nodded.
