Chương 134: Let Me See if Your Stand is Working Properly
After leaving the Trattoria Trussardi Italian restaurant, Tamami Kobayashi and Koichi Hirose soon parted ways.
Tamami Kobayashi wasn't exactly a good guy. Initially, he even intended to use his Stand to harm the protagonist group, but in the end, they managed to thwart his plans.
The protagonist group in Part 4 was exceptionally forgiving; even when faced with those who had once attempted to harm them, they chose to forgive.
For someone like this, Zuke felt no guilt in taking action.
Using his "Aura Concealment" ability, Zuke followed Tamami Kobayashi closely, who had no idea he was being tailed.
Once Tamami walked into a deserted alley, Zuke struck.
He reached out and easily grabbed Tamami's neck from behind, lifting him off the ground.
"W-Who are you!?"
It was only at this moment that Tamami realized he was being attacked. He frantically kicked his legs, trying to break free from Zuke's grip.
Unfortunately, Zuke's hand was like an iron clamp, completely unaffected by Tamami's struggling.
"You forced me into this!"
Realizing he couldn't escape Zuke's grasp, Tamami gritted his teeth and summoned his Stand.
A puppet about the height of an average person appeared by his side and reached out toward Zuke.
Zuke watched as the puppet touched him and suddenly transformed to look exactly like him.
"Perfect! I've got you now! Watch me take you down!"
Tamami smiled in triumph, ready to control Zuke's movements with his Stand, "Surface."
However, he quickly realized something was off—no matter how he tried, "Surface" couldn't make Zuke release his hand.
"Your Stand is too weak to control my body."
This outcome was within Zuke's expectations. He calmly explained why Tamami's Stand couldn't control his actions.
Though Tamami's Stand synchronized with Zuke's appearance, the significant difference in power meant it couldn't control him.
Just like the puppet nature of Tamami's Stand—normally, the copied person would be manipulated like a puppet on strings.
But if the puppet's power far exceeded the puppeteer's, then the roles would reverse, with the puppet dragging the puppeteer.
Tamami was like an ant trying to control an elephant with a thread. Was that even possible?
"Since you've summoned your Stand, your role is now over."
Zuke glanced at "Surface" beside him—the puppet, despite looking like Zuke, was as stiff as a statue.
Clearly, it wanted to control Zuke's actions but was powerless to do so.
Without further words, Zuke summoned his "Blackbird" Stand, which promptly began consuming "Surface."
"Aaaghhhhhh…"
As Blackbird devoured the Stand, Tamami cried out in pain—any harm to a Stand also affected its user, a core principle for most Stands.
Now, as Blackbird gradually devoured his Stand, Tamami's body suffered internal injuries. Zuke could even hear his bones cracking.
A few seconds later, Blackbird had fully consumed "Surface," and Tamami, held in Zuke's grip, lost his life.
His body now lay like a boneless heap of flesh.
"Blackbird, Void Miasma."
Zuke activated Blackbird's ability, Void Miasma, which completely erased Tamami's corpse from existence.
When it came to corpse disposal, Void Miasma was as efficient as Killer Queen. Though "Surface" had potential to copy and control, its limitations stemmed from Tamami's own weakness.
Zuke, however, faced no such restriction, as Blackbird's power matched his own strength.
As long as Zuke was strong enough, he could control any target.
"Now, it's time for the hunt."
Zuke withdrew his hand, narrowing his eyes.
If he exceeded eight hours, he would lose his rewards, so he needed to hunt down all the Stand users in Morioh that he had his eye on within that time.
Even discounting the Stands born under Yoshikage Kira and his father Yoshihiro's influence, there were still many interesting abilities.

In Morioh's prison, there was a very special cell.
This cell was funded by the SPW Foundation from overseas and contained only a single prisoner.
Akira Otoishi—charged with breaking and entering, and stealing electricity.
However, this was merely his lightest crime; he also had blood on his hands.
As a Stand user, Akira had killed people remotely using his Stand, leaving no evidence behind, making it impossible for the law to punish him.
This limitation was the weakness of Stand users bound by rules; if someone less concerned with rules were involved, Akira would likely face inhumane treatment, even if he avoided the death penalty.
Akira wasn't one to abide by the law, but he feared Jotaro Kujo's Stand power.
So, after being handed over to the SPW Foundation and Jotaro, he obediently stayed in prison.
Whether he would stay there forever was uncertain.
Today, he was in his cell reading a newspaper—while his freedom was restricted, the prison still provided inmates with some mental stimulation.
Just as Akira was reading the news, he heard a man's voice outside his cell:
"Akira Otoishi, right?"
"Hm? Who are you?"
Akira frowned, looking toward the cell door—through the bars, he saw a young man standing outside.
He looked like a high school student, and Akira hated high schoolers—they were the ones who had defeated him.
"It's me. Who are you? You don't look like a guard."
"It's you. Good."
Zuke nodded, reaching out to tear apart the bars, as easily as tearing a piece of paper.
With "Aura Concealment," he had entered the prison unnoticed.
After all, Part 5's plot needed Koichi to go to Italy, so today, Zuke didn't want to cause a commotion in Morioh.
If Koichi decided to delay his trip to Italy, how would Zuke follow him and locate Part 5's protagonist group?
After all, Zuke didn't know Diavolo's hiding place and needed the protagonist group's help.
Any disturbance would have to wait until Koichi was safely in Italy.
"Now, let me see if your Stand is working properly…"
