Argenta had fallen to the floor as hot tears burned her eyes.
Before she met Ebari, she wasn't such a cryer but his voice made her feel safe and that brought tears to the surface. There were complex feelings a child as young as her couldn't comprehend. Her understanding of the world was black and white, after all. There was the bad but Ebari was the good. She felt like she was part of the bad because she was forced to use her aura in bad ways for so long.
"They took my brother," she finally said. "I don't know where they put him."
"Is his aura metal like yours?" Ebari asked.
It wasn't for his personal curiosity but it would help him understand what the people's intentions were for the boy. Either they were using him the way they used her or they were using him as a pawn to get her to bend to their will and keep working.
Whoever had taken her away must have told the people in charge that she had done a bad job when she originally bound Ebari.
