Chương 10: A Super Special Secret Technique

At the sea, helicopters flew by as they were all heading to one direction. Jeju island. Specifically, a small island near Jeju Island. It wasn't even 3 miles wide.

"How long until we get there." A young with man with red hair and glasses asked. The man wore a suit of goldish-brown and white suit with a flowing red cape and a set of eight rings.

He was the GuildMaster of the Hunters Guild. His name was Choi Jong-In.

Along with him was a young woman with gray eyes and blonde hair. On her was a red-themed armor and carries a black sword with a silver hilt. Her name was Cha Hae-In and she was the Vice-GuildMaster of the Hunters Guild.

"About 10 minutes." She replied with a serious tone.

"This isn't a good situation though. South Korea in its entirety is threatened now. Tell the helicopters to go at full speed even if we run out of fuel." A muscular young man with spiky orange hair, orange eyes, pronounced canine teeth, and neatly trimmed sideburns said with crossed arms.

He was the GuildMaster of the White Tiger Guild Baek Yoonho. He wore a black armor with yellow shoulder guards, gray pants, and a set of golden claws.

"The association team reported that something came out of the Gate before no more information could get to them. We should assume that a dungeon break has occurred. If the Knights' raid team failed than that means its most probably an A-rank dungeon break." Cha Hae-In reported while looking through the files.

"This really is the worst case scenario." Baek Yoonho said as he grabbed his head. "Frankly, I never wanted to ever set foot on that island. Just being here makes me uncomfortable."

"Well we're not actually at Jeju Island so there won't be too many ants here. Worst case scenario. We both die here Yoonho." Choi Jong-In said to try to lighten the mood.

"Hmph! I'll make sure that doesn't happens. I don't my last memory to be your face." Baek got up as he opened the door making the wind enter the helicopter. "I'll use my abilities to scan the area. We should be close enough since I now see the Island."

His eyes glowed orange-yellow, his hair turned white, and his pupils became slits. He was using his beast form to sense the monsters. Closing his eyes, he was soon able to sense the monsters on the island.

"There's a huge amount of ants on the island. Weirdly, I don't sense anything-" He opened his eyes wide in surprise as he unconsciously fully transformed into his full beast form. His skin was now covered in white fur and his teeth became sharp.

"Baek!" The fire mage screamed out.

Hearing this, the white tiger calmed down as he canceled his transformation. "Sorry... I just did it by instinct."

"What did you sense?" Chae Hae-In asked curious as to what could make an S-rank instinctively use their powers.

"A monster. A powerful one at that. It's easily S-rank but I'd say its power is close to mine at full strength. That monster also sensed me. I felt its gaze on me and it made me put my guard up. Sorry about that." The others could feel him tense as he glared to where the island was.

"He's right." Cha Hae said as she covered her nose with a tissue. "I can smell him. He's definitely strong. But that's not what caught my attention. There's something else with this one. Something unique. I've never smelled anything like this before."

Cha Hae had the ability of mana smell which is similar to an animal instinct only that it works with the nose.

"She's right. This monster has an aura of a monster but there's something else in there."

She stood up as well and looked upon the island that was nearing their vision. "It's like this monster is a monster mix. It's presence is destructive but also calm and rational. He doesn't smell bad like most monsters and humans do. There's a faint smell of stinkiness but that's all. It's unusual."

'If two S-rank hunters says this then it must be true.' The red haired mage thought as he stood up. His smile was no more and his cautiousness was elevated to the highest. 'Just what kind of monster is waiting for us at that island.'

"Yeah no. I'm outta here." Without a second thought, The Legendary Devil Hunter, Son of Sparda, The Legendary Dark Knight, The Strongest Demon Hunter ran away as if he was deadweight.

The ants now had their attention to a larger threat as they rushed towards the Korean team.

Dante took his backpack and jumped down the water. "I am not gonna fight another group. I should of ran from the start."

{Very unlike Dante and Vergil.}

"The ants are coming here." Baek warned the others. "And it seems like that monster is running away. It's in the sea and I think its heading towards the shores of South Korea."

"We should split the teams then." Choi Jong-In suggested. "Cha Hae-In, I'm leaving you in command. You need to cover for us two by killing those ants. We're going to bombard him with magic so leave most mages with me. If that monster gets on land then at least thousands people will die."

Baek nodded at this. "Let's have the Knights guild cooperate as well. I'll only be good at sensing where it is since I'm not good at long range."

Flames appeared at Choi's hands as he lifted up his glasses. "That's all I need."

Under the sea, Dante was swimming away while holding his breath.

'Going on a swimming trip wasn't really part of my plan. But desperate times calls for desperate measures.' Dante thought.

'From what that woman said, this should be the right way to go to.'

He had spent days inside the dungeon for a lot of reason. First was to gain as much information as he could have. He specifically left the leader alive to gain everything from them.

Apparently he was now in South Korea so he left them alive to learn the language as well. It took 4 days to fully learn it. Not bad considering learning languages was hard.

'Tch. Looks like those guys aren't letting me off the hook yet.' He said turning back to see a group of helicopters on his tail. 'Guess I gotta dive deeper.'

Baek who was looking at the sea spotted Dante. Pointing to his location, he notified everyone and pointed at him. "He's right here. I can sense him. He's diving deeper now that we're near him."

"You heard the man. Nuke him!" Choi shouted as he gathered fire in his hands. All of the mages followed the order as they used their most destructive spell and shot it towards Dante.

When their spells hit the water, a huge amount of water exploded. It seemed as if it was a remake of the tale of Moses as the sea itself was being separated.

Dante who was hit with the full brunt of the attack was sent whisking away. He regained his bearings and continued swimming away.

'Damn it! That really did a number on me. I can't even access the new reward since I'm in a battle.' He touched his back to his skin completely open. Dante could feel his bones out and worse his healing wasn't working properly. His limit was reaching.

Going up against the ants was already tiring and now he had to fight two S-ranks and multiple A and B ranked hunters.

"Flames Spears." Choi said as a barrage of spears made up of flame was shot at him. These were deadly because their precision. Unlike his usual flame spells, this wasn't destructive but was made to be as efficient as possible. They were like homing rockets.

He looked back to see the flames coming at him. Dante used his electric sword with Royal Guard to block the attack minimizing the damage. 'These guys are really persistent. Gotta focus my all in hiding my energy.'

"It has an electric element. In the water, it will make his electricity much more efficient to use than on land. Seems like he's unaffected by his own power which either means he has immunity to his own or that he has that much control. Most probably the former though." Baek concluded.

Choi Jon-In was preparing another attack but stopped as he widened his eyes. "It's presence disappeared from me.... can you still sense him Baek?"

Nodding, he completely activated his transformation making him turn into a real monster. "Yeah, it's trying to run away. I'll open up the water and I want all of you mages and archers to hit him with all you've got. Your fire isn't working too well in water Choi but this is all I can do. My attacks don't have the range that yours do."

Smiling, flames gathered around his body. "I've got just the grand spell for this. On my mark everyone."

'My god. Even I can feel the amount of mana being unleashed without even using my senses. They are making a wide range of attack so I can't even dodge it with trickster. I'm gonna have to take it on.' Just feeling this made him sweat. It was really dangerous now.

A red flaming dragon emerged from Choi, he gathered the dragon like a chain and threw it at Dante. "Now Baek Yoonho!" He yelled out. Baek who heard this grinned as he slashed the water with his claws making the sea seem to be ripped.

Now that Dante was exposed, he could see the dozens of magic spells being thrown at him. His eyes widened as blocked his body with his arms up only to be engulfed by the dragon and the spells.

The power sent shockwaves through the sea as the ants and other hunters turned around in shock. This power was beyond them.

"Phew! That was strong. You almost made the helicopters crash." Baek commented as he wiped the sweat of his forehead.

Choi smirked hearing this. "Which is why we didn't get too close to the monster. That thing is definitely dead. He's either burnt to crisp by my dragon or died from the A and B-rank spells bombarding him."

Baek turned back to see the fight between the ants and the hunters. "We better get out of here. I felt movement from the Ants Nest. They are coming here now. I think that blast of yours made them realize how much of a threat we are."

Choi nodded as he tapped on his communicator. "Retreat Cha Hae-In. It's over. Bring the corpses of the ants and the big ones on that island as well. Studying them will be important."

"Copy." Cha Hae-In's voice came out from the earpiece.

The team left afterwards without suffering any casualties. Leaving as they fought off the ants following them. The ants soon realize that they were too far from the nest and came back to protect it.

Today was a disaster for them as a simple mission costed them numerous hunters deaths. The Knights Guild held a memorial for the deceased hunters at their base.

But what they didn't know was that Dante was still alive.

On the shores, Dante came out of the beach burnt to a crisp. His body was completely black from the fire but slowly the ash came off revealing his skin. The attack was so strong that his outfit was destroyed. Though it would soon come back due to its regenerative capabilities.

His own healing factor was exhausted and his remaining strength was gone. Dante stumbled as he held onto a wall to keep himself from falling.

'I never thought I'd get destroyed that badly.' He sat down under a bridge where people wouldn't see him. His body kept trembling and the pain was simply horrible.

He kept regenerating and having to waste even more stamina to get to land meant that he basically ran out of fuel.

'Guess I deserve that, after killing those people.' Dante chuckled as he closed his eyes, falling unconscious. 'I'll make sure... to pay them back later. But first...'
