"Take this," one of the Demis handed a small ointment to Olpi. "It will help with the pain."
"Thank you," Olpi whispered back. Even though her suit rubbed against the fresh bruises, courtesy of instructor Jersin's metal cane, she forced out a smile filled with a practiced sense of warmth.
"It's no problem." The Demi named Menla replied before coughing twice. "I'm just doing what you taught most of us Demis to do over the years you've been on the first floor: to look after each other. Although…" She rubbed the back of her red curly hair. "Now you have to tell me about him." Even though she was a small dwarven girl and uncharacteristically skinnier than most, Olpi winced as the girl elbowed her. "Oh…sorry. That was right on a bruise, wasn't it? I meant-"
So I decided on two contest winners!

Spell: A drill-like shield. could be earth, water or anything with substance really. by having it rotate centrifugal force pulls things that hit it to the sides same for its peaked surface which diverts things rather than blocks them making it much better at defending than a straight up blocking wall would.

Idk just a simple water spell just condense water small and long enough to throw with wind magic.
(Author's note: I did not include the wind magic part)
Combined to make the spell: Riptide Barrier
This spell condenses the water produced from a water-element spell into a droplet and rotates it. The drop is held as long as possible until the rotation pulls it apart, forming a horizontal whirlpool-like "shield". It defends by either throwing attacks to the side or jetting through spells directly. The spell is then jettesoned forward by its own momentum to be used offensively.
