FTL is looked upon as the epitome of technology. To break the boundaries of physics and go far beyond what was meant to be. A race which harnesses this power must surely have technology far beyond anything we can imagine...right...?
What if FTL was simple...so simple that a mere child could accidentally put it together in any point in time? How would things change? What if the galaxy had more intelligent creatures than humans.
This is the story of humanity discovering FTL...in the year of 2070 after a rather unexpected first contact.

I really would like to know what happens next as the way you have written this is really interesting. like being able to reach FTL 2000 years ago through something a child could make is an interesting idea.
