"Yes, the Emperor is holding a concubine selection process and Yin'er has been nominated to attend!" Governor Bai said with a resigned sigh.

He felt very helpless for he could not think of a way to stop this from happening.

He had thought of replacing his daughter with someone else, but this would not work since someone had mentioned her to the Emperor and she was nominated by the Emperor directly. He would not be able to deceive the Emperor by simply replacing her with another girl!
