IF THE CHAPTER COUNT STILL IS 609 DON'T BOTHER TO PICK THIS UP! The story in itself is okay. Characters are fine. But that's it. Its okay to read and I enjoyed it even. But qidian needs to find a translator to finish this up. So as long they don't find someone taking the project over don't bother to start.

A novel in my top list. Its different from what i have read before. Translation quality is the best one can offer, the flow is smooth, no errors. The story is awesome, sometime illogical though. However the world building is real bad or pretty much non existence. Character is classic OP MC with bunch of girl drool over him.

From my personal view, it's a very good novel on its own, and I don't understand why the rating is much worse from what this novel deserved. As a reader I have a habit to read the review of the novel and it's greatly affect me in deciding to proceed reading that story or not. The MC is already mature. so I don't really get the struggle of MC. But, the MC have unique character so it's interesting to follow. I cannot see the long term goals of MC other than pursue the past love that he lose. And again I just about 40 chapters. So not really get overalls stroy.

Too much focus on douchy luxury foods in the beginning. Translator writing style sounds really stilted and unnatural. Story is sci-fi, but not as good as Doulou Dalu or Child of Light Overall one of the more forgettable novels I've read.

Although for some reason the rating of the novel is lease than what it deserves, don't be fooled. You can hate qidian if you want to, but this novel when compared with similar stories in this genre (eg. Swallowed star) is quite beautiful. This is not a typical weak-to-strong story. There is no harem or ruthless mass murder. The story and scientific elements are comparatively better than contemporaries. The translation and the writing style of the author is of a higher standard than most webnovels, so if you don't find it an easy read, don't blame the novel. All in all a worthy read. It can drag a bit, in some irrelevant chapters discussing wines and luxuries, but it is a welcome deviation from cliched training towers, levels and cultivation tropes TL;DR : Better than swallowed star, a bit of a drag but worthy read

Already read this book. This one is a mix of sci fi and cultivation type . good story development with romance. Although the story development is little slower it's good enough. Mc is strong from the start but there are plenty of stronger than him. So, it's a good read. It's has no harem. Give it a try if you have time.
