Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death, and that the universe was a far larger place than he thought. A lucky twist of fate (one of the few in Ning’s life) meant that Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.

Viết đánh giáFor all of you defending Qidian I feel bad for you I'm not going to insult you or anything i just feel bad. This novel is translated by the owner of WW and he translates 10 chapters a week for his website for no money just what the people give him on his patreon. Then along comes Qidian and steals almost all of WW novels including this one. I don't know how much work goes into translation but I know it isn't little so when someone steals literally years of your work then gets insulted for it is kind of rude and ingnorant. I know Qidian is in the wrong because how would they be in the right. These are the facts and if you still refuse to listen then so be it
Thank god ISSTH completed before this sh***y war between QI and ww , still i am reading novels from both sites, chinese authors are great creators of imaginative world. If QI going to monopolise all the chinese novels and then putting paypal for reading novels, then i have to stop this amazing journey in chinese novels because i cant afford it. But i hope this doesn't happen.....
I feel ashamed of WW community, acting like spoiled children. This rating is for the novel and not the politic/commercial/whateverbehindthecurtain. This novel is one of the best in my opinion. The character development is top notch, the story is coherent and interesting with a lot of emotion. I however dont like the world building very much. Translator is one of the first in this community, public image of Wuxiaworld with years of experience, the quality of his translation is guaranteed.
.....................................................................................................................................................................Why?
Read at wuxiaword.com to support the translator as this was all copy pasted, there is no translator here, while my comment is still up. Read at wuxiaword.com to support the translator as this was all copy pasted, there is no translator here, while my comment is still up.
The first word comes out is "Repetitive". It begins with "I am a special and OP", alright, there are things that make it worth reading, there are even a bit of not really good romance and some dramatic turns, ones better than others, then it goes full Dragon Ball, literally. And when the MC goes out of the planet, it should have ended. It becomes something not worth remembering.
The first novel I completed and it's entirety. Don't regret a second of it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not completely unreadable. I finished the whole thing. I regret spending the time on it. It's longer than it needs to be, the characters are absolutely one-dimensional, the plot devices are re-hashed MULTIPLE times, the author repeats the same information over and over and over and over, and the plot armor of the MC could take a shot from the death star without a scratch. There's zero thought put into the actual measurements of...anything (a sword strike few thousand times the speed of light is apparently totally able to miss somebody that is ten TRILLION kilometers tall at point blank range. That's trillion, with a T. Also, TRILLIONS of years go by in the blink of an eye, multiple times. Also, the ending was boring enough I would find myself skimming the text to pick out key words. I love to read, if the end of your novel is less of a "what happens next!" and more of a "bah, I'm 88% in on this 1400+ chapter novel, might as well take the time to finish" then you've failed as an author. It honestly felt like he was trying to pad the novel length, rather than actually improve the quality. Sometimes less is more. However, the translation quality was fantastic. There were some additional footnotes added to explain several of the more esoteric mythology introduced and that was certainly much appreciated.
DE is a great novel. IET has almost perfected the art of writing fast food novels. Like all other IET novels the protagonists are motivated by family, friends and work like mad to achieve their goals. The main character only ever have one love interest at a time and they usually face hardship to get together and then the novel just skims past the rest. Definitely not for those who are interested in harems or extensive romance. The novel is all about overcoming greater and greater enemies. Overall a great novel. I'm just irritated that Qidian copy and pasted the novel over from WuxiaWorld without the translator's permission. Definitely not a cool move.
Amazing novels, PLEASE read below read read read read read read Qidian stole this novel from WuxiaWorld, because they are attempting to establish a monopoly over novel translations. Wuxia was here for years but they come in and act like kings. They rob wuxias novels, steal their translators, threathens them, and do DDoS attacks on Wuxia. Furthermore, they remove any low rated review which talks about this issue (which is why I have a 5star and not 2), to make everything seem like sunshine and rainbows. Please go support the REAL translation at WuxiaWorld for this amazing novel. Thanks
Do not support Qidian in it's power hungry moves to eliminate the translating communities that built the foundation of Asian Webnovels to us here in the West. Theyre destroying these communities that have worked for years for us only on donations. Stealing their translations and suppressing them. Gravity Tales has fallen, Wuxiaworld is bleeding, and Qidians horde is at Royal Roads gates.
this novels is okay, interesting world setting but mediocre story, protagonist is bland, plot story kinda forced, inconsistency characters is exist here, romance is bad, but cultivation is good. definitely not good for avid reader who read tons of novels. great novels for ppl who just started reading into east fantasy novels. good for ppl who seek cultivation novels. this is good novels but there is tons of better novels out there if u dont mind reading novels other than chinese. i believe coiling dragon is better than this novel, although the characters in cd so similar in this novel, actually every characters in iet novels very similar, well characters making is not iet forte. if you guys seek for overpowering cultivation novels then read iet novels, if you seek great story search elsewhere
One of the first CN novels I read, so maybe I am a bit biased, but I love this novel. Normally I cant recall that much information from a novel I read, but I can still recall quite a lot from this novel, to me that just goes to show how good it was to me.
If QI is going to steal other translators works at least steal good stories. DE is insanely repetitive, it goes on a seemingly never ending cycle of enemies and encounters so similar to each other that they start to blend into each becoming a blur of pixels. The only saving grace to this is that the MC is completely one dimensional, and even experiences some limited character development. Seriously though QI unsavory actions aside this webnovel is really bad I dropped it about 800 chapters in and don't regret it.
One of my favourites. Desolate Era is a book where you can see the progress every chapter, be it cultivation, relationships, or something else. The beginning few chapters may be slow, but a foundation needs to be built for the action. Side characters are mostly dealt with, at some point or another.
This is it. This is probably one of the 3 big novels that truly got me into reading. It’s one of the few that I can actually re read easily(minus the time commitment) I remember reading it for hours and hours everyday on WXW. This and Swallowed Star are easily some of the best cultivation stories out there. From the depth of the characters to the fact that not every other chap is a tournament arc, there are myriad reasons to love this novel. Please give it all the love as well as I Eat Tomatoes, so we can get more great stuff like this.
This thing is one of the olden classics, part of the beginning of us novel weebs. Therefore, i would like to thank this novel for being with us throughout that period of time. Secondly, too many timeskips.
This rating of 5, is to show my respect and appreciation of the content of the novel itself, as well as for the effort and time that RWX put into translating these. As one of my favourite novels of all time, it's sad to see it being stolen (copied and pasted) here, basically disregarding the effort and time put in by RWX. Even if QI and WXW are at odds at the moment, there's no need to disregard and utterly disrespect the effort and time of various translators who put out translations that are of high quality, unlike some of the novels on QI. This act is utterly shameless and deplorable, and I can only say that it's sad that (presumably) civilized and educated adults can do this sort of thing.
