I am thrilled to know that my novel “Rebirth- How A Loser Became A Prince Charming” will be published by Qidian International. My novel depicts the lives of young people in modern cities, incorporating many elements of the Chinese culture. Readers will recognize local culture, delicacies and customs in it. Its sense of warmth and humour make this novel the perfect thing to read while drinking afternoon tea.
I hope that my readers overseas will have a taste of how life really is in a foreign country. I also hope that they will enjoy this novel in their leisure time and smile while reading it. I sincerely hope that it will make their day. I want my book to bring smiles, warmth and lifetime fortune to my friends abroad. Finally, let me conclude by using one of the most traditional Chinese blessings, “I wish you the very best of luck, happiness and good health.”
Born in China in the early 1980s, I am familiar with the life presented in the novel. Foreign readers born in different countries and decades may not have the same experiences as the author, but if you want to open a small window to the good old times, when everything was pure and simple, this is the novel for you. Although extremely handsome, the hero is just an ordinary person like you and me. He possesses both the flaws and virtues of common people.
Xianxia novels depict a world very foreign to us, while this leisurely novel portrays the real bustling, yet warm world around us. It’s a lot like a bowl of healing soup. Qidian International offers its readers both exciting legends and idyllic stories. Come on in and take a seat. Let’s enjoy our afternoon tea together.
A good work is a celebration of both the author and the readers, and a good translator should be an invisible servant in that experience. I have nothing to say about myself. Just enjoy this warm story, and I’ll be at your service. My sincere thanks and best wishes to my project managers, Dana and Sunny, my editor, Kiki, and my partner, May. It’s my pleasure to work with you all.

Viết đánh giádear everyone, thanks so much for your attention on the story. I couldn't agree with some comments more that the story was "childish". Most readers of its Chinese version are girls in middle school. That may explain why the girls in the story are of a rectilinear thinking style. In my opinion, they are flat on the paper, with only one or two features at most. So, if you want to read a story of mature way of thinking or a story with deep thoughts, you will be disappointed. In fact, it's quite a bucket of pop corn for me in leisure time. The author indeed had studied on certain subjects. If you live in China, you will find some interesting points everywhere, especially in the following chapters. Maybe after one month you could return to the story, I promise you will find something interesting by then. But I can't make the spoiler now. haha! And, some words about the way in which MC ****** money. Young foreigners may have no idea that after 1995 till now, China was the heaven of adventurers. Since MC lived in the era for the second time, it's natural for him to choose certain way to earn money (you may find them in the following chapters). He is only an ordinary man of mechanical deparment, who couldn't remember so many songs or famous articles. Even if he could, considering the protection of copyright in China... When I was translating the work, I was so sorry about the oppotunities to make fortune in the story, for I missed them all! THEY ARE THE REALISTIC WAY TO MAKE MONEY IN CHINA AT THAT TIMES! If I was reborn like MC, I'll do in the same way. It will be the ******st and quickest for ordinary person, who never prepared for his/her rebirth. Anyway, thanks so much for your patience. Readers choose stories and stories choose readers. It's a mutural process. If you give the story up, best wishes for you and looking forward to meeting you in another story. :)
The story is kind of unique knowing that the mc is very much unlike other time trvelling mc's to know what to do next and become super badass at some point. I hope you mention the days for updates to come because I will be waiting!!
I deleted this from my library after reading 20 chapters of this. I would first like to start off by saying that this novel is plain wish fulfillment. That by itself isn't the problem, although there are many cases of wish fulfillment done right, this novel does it wrong, at the very least in my opinion. First of all, the whole premise of traveling back in time and gaining a super awesome body that is hotter than a model is just mind blowing. While I understand that time travel is a big stretch, but the new divine body that he gains just throws logic out of the window. It doesn't make for a very good story if the MC has everything handed to him. I like OP Xianxia because the MC at the very least has a semblance of working hard to get what they want (most of the time (emperor's domination). This just feels like wish fulfillment on a whole other level. It's to the point of disgust. I would rather the MC reincarnate into his true past (fat) body, but work hard to lose weight and become a handsome and model like MC, rather than having the body of a demigod appear out of thin air. I personally think that this makes the novel seem like they're pulling bs out of thin air. Second of all his personality. The MC is dead as a person. He has no flaws is perfect in everything. Perfect memory when it suits him, dance skill coming out of his ass, just plain bs like rainbows sprung from a unicorns feces. When the MC is so perfect without any effort, that kills my care for that character entirely. Like I previously stated, I want the MC to at least work for the skills and powers he gets, even if I know they will eventually master it (let's be honest). This MC is just dead on the start, no character development, no real setbacks, no real progress. Honestly this just feels like the author decided to self insert himself into a fabrication of reality and start God-modding, aka acting as a god to manipulate the story in order to suit his desires and needs in order to play out a certain fantasy or story. Finally, there feels like no real action or *******. The suspense created sucks. The MC is so infallible that I don't even have to worried at the slightest. The MC's OPness is badly managed. He has no real reason for getting all these skills and OPness, but still has them and wins every situation in his favor no matter what. Good OP characters like Saitama from One Punch Man and arguably Li Qiye from Emperors Domination. One Punch Man is interesting because it gives a very good story and concept, that the MC is so OP that he is bored of being OP. For Emperors Domination, the real hook of the story, in my opinion, is the World Building and Curbstomp Action. The author of ED does a fantastic job of created a fantastical world that has wonders to be explored and secrets to be uncovered and also has some good crubstomping from our favorite OP MC Li Qiye. The MC of this Novel doesn't do that. He lives in the modern world with no real appeal. I don't know if the story gets better after 20 chapters, but from these few chapters, I have given up hope. If you've actually read the entire review good for you, and if you do read past chapter 20, let me know how it goes. Who knows maybe by chapter 150, the story might turn into something else and possibly something better, but my journey ends here. I hope this helped some of you.
Tiết lộ SpoilerHas a lot of wish fulfillment moments, rather unrealistic as well. A body that even models can't even match up to? Photographic memory? Dance skills despite not frequenting clubs? Hell, a lot of characters can't help but remind us how inferior they are to this handsome, talented, and educated young man every time they come into screen. He's quite literally becoming the perfect Prince Charming, as said from the title. Oh yeah, the girls.
Tiết lộ SpoilerHmm... Although the first few chapters are kinda hard to swallow for me (i lost interest at first and my sis had to do a lot of convincing for me to continue with it since she said it turned out good soon) after the BIG hurdle of accepting the irony between idiocy and intelligence of the MC it became an ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. The MC is absolutely funny and there are no down moments. He's nerdy yet cool and silly yet smart. Most especially, he is faithful to the bones to his only love interest in the novel. The shiny life of a star and the normal everyday life of a student is well-balanced, very refreshingly mixed in the novel, none of that tiring monotonous flow. The translators are doing a perfect job both with translation quality and update stability. Still, i soooo love the novel that i just can't get enough. So if you're looking for a light read that makes you forget your worries then this is for you.
I reached around chap 500+, purely because I'm a sucker to this kind of genre. Compared to Superstars of Tomorrow and IRAS, this novel is severely lacking. PROS: It's hard to think of one. The story is in between below average and average... hmmm yup there's nothing stunning about this novel. However, if you have nothing to read and waiting for updates then this might do the trick. Also around chapter 300, the MC will go to USA, not really a spoiler, just to tell you guys that it will be more relatable because Western works will be used not just Chinese literatures, films and celebrities that we barely know. CONS: Most cons were stated already. The worst thing for me is the story telling. It's practically reading a log or a diary, most chapters just states what did the MC have done that day. The romance is really bad, it has potential at first but the author botched it. The story has no depth along with the characters. Everyone is so shallow and thought of nothing aside MCs looks. There are few good chapters, most of them were dull and just about the MC eating over and over again. The fact that the MC's eating is more detailed than him doing his job or his lovelife is the most frustrating part of this novel. I finally dropped this novel, I tried it a lot of times but just I'm about to drop it, things get interesting. It's like the walking dead prior to the latest season.
Alright, the score is pretty low, but it's reasonable... I think. anyway. Translation quality is OK, but could be better. the phrasing is quite bad to be honest. If the author wrote it like it's translated, then this must be their debut work, because it feels really... I really don't know how to say it, without ****** people interpret what I've said in a wrongly. but, the ******st analogy? emmm.... Childish, but planned. or is very innocent in a way, but at least the story it self seems to have been planned ahead properly. The MC himself, is quite childish also, or even quite innocent. it's like a man was put in the body of a child, and the childishness seeped in, and erased the *****, but left the memories of the future. Also, things seem to go rather well for this MC, but it's strange. I honestly have no interpretation of why I think this series has a strange flow, but I have this weird feeling as I read it. not a bad feeling mind you. World background... Again, I must say, 'honestly', the world isn't as of yet too far thought out, but the actual 'world' around the character seems to be developing, like, housing market, stocks and so on... oh, and computer development. I wish this MC could think of smart things to do with the internet, it really wouldn't be to hard to make a website worth money around that time, it would just take a bit of development, and financial stability. but, as long as he invented YouTube, he'd be fine. I think it isn't banned in China, so it should be fine... And my final conclusion to my thoughts about this story... Read it if you wanna, It's not the best, but it has some interest elements to it. So if your here for lighthearted rebirth or should we say, revert to an alternate time line, 18 years before, where the MC isn't a genius, but get's a better body and memory right off the bat as a consolation prize, but doesn't know how to truly capitalize on his future knowledge, however, does in fact know how to make Some use of the new body. My last thing to say is: The first chapter is BS, it almost makes no sense except TRYING to explain to you, the MC was all of a sudden, reborn for no apparent reason. Apparently a different, and even better body/memory. However, it doesn't really explain, If he was suddenly reborn, or if he was reborn for quite some time, and this is likely the translator/editors fault for confusing me. and I must point out, that the Author really wanted to get the character out of high-school, but still give the character SOME very minor Introduction and slightly developing the world background. and to finish off what I'm saying... the Story is very fkn high paced, has a very small character development phase, but as I said at the start, I'm pretty sure this is the authors debut piece, or best work at the time of release... if not, then I truly feel sorry for this author, being able to write, but is inadequate in their understanding of the human psyche, emotions, rational and thus creating an inferior product, that is unworthy of their actually writing talents."
The MC reincarnates into a time where he can make everything happen again. He doesn't gain anything unlike MC's from other novels which make use of their past. He makes use of his pretty face to model and to get girls. Throughout the novel, he finds love randomly and there's close to no development when it comes to relationships. MC is way too random when it comes to his personality. The characters are also very vague and only apparent when it comes to being in touch with the MC. The story is bound to be very repetitive as he repeats the process over and over again. Randomly Meets Woman-> Falls in "love" -> They get together-> Woman is then dropped by author.
Thanks so much for all the readers accompanying us. Actually, the story will be better and better. The beginning of the story, Qin Guan was in the typical stage of China. Later he will develop a new domain. Just keep reading.
Tiết lộ SpoilerI thought this gem was underrated. Very mellow, slow paced, and REALISTIC portrayal of life in the 1990s-2000, albeit embellished by the MC's perfect looks. Not much of a plot but it doesn't need one: it's just about a guy's college life and work along the way, his pursuit of his girlfriend, his advancement of his business-minded career, and his modeling career. Very enjoyable read and there are even food descriptions!
This story can be considered as the typical reincarcation story having an mc that is so OP. But what I like of this story, is that although the mc interacts with a lot of female characters, he is loyal to one woman (no to harem for me). Also, even though he is so OP, I love how the author inserted "human-like" to his character. Despite being seen as an OP mc, he is still very practical and hard-working.
it was great, until the Chinese clichés and racism started there is even racism against people from other regions of china, as if they were weaker for living elsewhere
Oh my heart.... It's beating to fast... In the beginning when I read the synopsis is was like uh... Not interested. But prove me wrong.. I read till I felt asleep then woke up the next day dreaming about the story n immediately started reading again. Now can't wait for the next chapter.... Love it. It's fun but most of all, the the sincerity of the character towards it other counterpart make it all the Worth while.
I love this kind of story. Its all about taste. The MC have a sloppy character, but then it makes him more human. I love its plot and story movement. Thank you, I've laugh alot 💞
The best thing in this novel is the most mundane moments. i.e. him getting a girlfriend, their dating days, his college life, eating food with friends. Yes, this story is not about how the loser turn into a prince charming. It's about how the loser lived his life when he turned into price charming and that story may be boring but its incredibly real.
this story is like IARS but with less racist comments and a bit more comedic than that. i like the MC and how hard he tries to win over his potential girlfriend. a bit of wish fulfillment but that's ok
This is more of a slice of life story geared towards a younger crowd. It is good for taking a break and laughing a little. While I think some people may get bored with it I find it unique and enjoy it.
Amazing!..... The story development is getting slow but otherwise its fun to read.... Hope it doesnt get pulled out too long cause this is one of my favorites in the 50+ webnovels i have read....👍
Okay look. The writing style and interactions between characters are fine. But the way every single person continues to stroke the main character's c*ck is ridiculous. "How a loser bacame a prince charming". Lets talk about that. He didn't become anything. He literally woke up as handsome dude. He didn't die and get sent back in time, more like he went to a damn different timeline altogether. Similar but with him already a "school hunk" and that's just bull****. We dont see a gradual shift form lose to prince charming, we see a prince charming become even more likeable because of reasons. Like what the hell? I dont hate the story. Other than the characters being shallow and praising the main character at every turn, its fine. Its just that over twenty chapters in there is still no REAL plot developement. I would not really recommend this to anyone because of the lacking character design, but for just a light read that you shouldn't take too seriously? Its good enough for that. Dont expect anything other than a superficial harem of adoring fans for the MC who exist to just make him look good though. If you can withstand all the aforementioned c*ck-stroking then give this a try.
