Viết đánh giáThe story tells the tale of Baneman, the unholy offspring of Batman and Bane. Known to most as the masked knight, Baneman forces friends and foes to ask "Who's Baneman?! Why does he wear the mask?!" To which the reply is of course: "For you."
Zenobys here, manager of EndlessFantasy Translations so I may be a little biased (don't think I am though). Translation Quality 3/5 I know the translations may not be fantastic. We have seen better translations especially in terms of editing... and you may find the occasional oversight in capitalization, tense or spelling throughout the novel. Believe me when I say that we are trying our best and we are also looking for great editors to edit future chapters (while I personally go through the old ones to improve them). Chapters 40 onwards should have better editing as well so please give it a try. Updating Stability 5/5 The updating stability for this novel is great. Our translator who is working on this novel is doing it full-time, and though he may not be extremely efficient in producing translations, churning out 20 chapters each week, I assure you that he is doing his best and we can guarantee a stable rate of at least 7 a week (with some held back in case of emergencies). Story Development 5/5 The story development of Masked Knight is fantastic. I have read and followed Chinese light novels for the past 2 years and have found that there were many cases in which the author begins to repeat content. MC gets stepped on, grows stronger, takes revenge, rinse and repeat. While this may be what many readers are looking for, as proven by statistics (no quote here, just pure assumption from the popularity of novels on frequented sites), I believe that Masked Knight can bring a fresh and amazing perspective to how Chinese light novels can also be done. The story picks up at around Chapter 20, for curious readers, so please do not hesitate to give it a chance if you haven't already read up till that Chapter. Character Design 4/5 I have learned that many of the readers who were dissatisfied with this light novel had felt dislike for the MC's 'pervy-ness'. It is true that the MC get muddleheaded quite often whenever Nicole or any other world-shattering bea
Initially, I was fascinated by the plot development of character switching but I am greatly disappointed by the personality of the MC. I wanted to see more on his identity crisis, I wish he should be disappointed by his work credited to someone and who justifies it's fine because of the Tulip family name. I felt it's really disappointing from the MC when he does not retort when he met Seth. At least punch him. Seriously, that worst character Seth is playing with women while u r send to get killed. Grow some balls. Snap sometimes, show u r human. I want MC to change his face to normal and tell Seth to.screw off or try to kill Seth to say there is no need for 2 Dukes. Wishing for good development from now on.
I had high expectations of this after reading the author's other excellent works like Law of the Devil and Gate of Revelation, but unfortunately this novel is just no where as good as the other ones. The writing is good up to ~c140 but after that, it seems the author abandons the original "masked knight" premise of the story. The writing gets worse and worse. The story turns into Dragonball-esque super power battles with dudes flying around. Thereafter it becomes clear less thought and attention are been put into the writing and the plot of the story. After the dragon arm incident, there's all sorts of haphazard and awkward arbitary adjustments in power levels that don't make sense. The characters, including the main character, become massive morons. More and more plotholes and inconsistencies crop up. The main character also becomes more dislikable. He becomes more hypocritical, more selfish, and turns into a philandering cheater. His morality basically goes down the drain. As for the translation. The syntax and flow is pretty decent, but unfortunately the translator has a terrible naming sense. Some of the terms used is just downright cringeworthy. I really wanted to like this novel. But, after reading it, it's a real disappointment. I think it'd be better to just skip this and chk out the author's much better written novels like Law of the Devil and Gate of Revelation instead.
TRASH TOTALLY TRASH the story starts from interesting and then it becomes trash, absolutely trash 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
TRASH, TRASH, TRASH. In the beginning it was interesting. His character was a bit bland but the storyline made it bearable. However as the story progressed the MC was turning into a coward and submissive beta male when faced against women especially the one that tormented him. He lacks a brain, his thinking only comes from his penis. He is the type that gets beaten and tormented by a woman and instead of getting angry, he just lets it be and have fantasies being with the woman due to her appearance. In short the protagonist is brain dead. I feel sorry for the storyline. It was such a unique idea but it was ruined by the characters. Don't waste your time.
I'm sorry but I find it unacceptable that their exists a man out there that is that much of a little *****, noble lady or not. As a man myself, I found his behavior a repulsive and disgusting representation of manhood.
In the Story are a lot of places that feel like fillers to lengthen the chapter. Most stories have them, but here they are also insertet in the paragraphs that contain the important stuff so that you can not skip them. This makes reading the story realy exhausting and frustrating.
The whole bloody thing is paid and premium. I don’t understand why a book can’t even have an intro that’s free, like what the ****. May the gods condemn this book to hell.
I quite enjoyed this novel. MC actually gets believable character development. He is shaped by his experiences and changes from a weak, wimpy kid into a competent badass. Not only does his strength improve, so does his mentality and personality. Although some developments were a bit fast and forced, most of it is enjoyable to read and believable. Unlike MCs from xianxia novels, who overshadow all other characters, Rody from Masked Knight is not so much of a "blazing sun" character. He's unwittingly dragged into a huge turmoil and forced to impersonate a duke. Rody is fairly weak early on, but does gradually become strong. The plot is quite interesting however it does leave an unpleasant aftertaste since everything he accomplishes so far is in someone else's identity. Especially regarding romance: A couple of the love interests that Rody meets are Seth's (the original duke) women. In particular he has quite a romantic and touching scene with Jojo, but that's only because she thinks he's Seth. Also Myka (Seth's original lover) is another one of his love interests. Apart from the romance department, which I personally found strangely unpleasant (he makes out with the Duke's sister, while wearing her brother's face. Like wtf, this is how you get incest-NTRed), the rest of the novel is a very nice read.
Tiết lộ SpoilerWhy does this story have to suck so bad! Such a great beginning and then ****! Mc is supposed to be a knight candidate but is f..... timid as a rabbit, and the tsundere Miss. WTF? Author how can you mistakes elf and donkey ears? Baka!
Updating stability is the only reason the score is so high... since it was completely translated when I started reading. This is just terrible. The mc is 18, acts like he's 13. Female lead is 20/21. Acts like she's 13. Victim falls in love with her rap*st bullsh*t too. The whole thing reads like a filler chapter from coiling dragon.
The first 100 chapters were high quality etertainement. However it goes downhill really fast when mythological creatures come into play and it's just a mess after that. Just when you think the MC is not like the other MCs and grew up after his battlefield experience he becomes the author's self insert after his dragon power up.
This novel is a really good read, and just like what the other reviews said about the quality of this novel, (which includes the character, story and world development) is good relatively compared to some other novels I've read. However, the reason I gave it 3 stars is the fact that in the middle of the the released chapters the novel quality deteriorates. Some things that I find unpleasant to the story is that the author did not bother changing some names of the characters and events, while that is fine in some situations in this case it comes off as being lazy in the author's side. Another thing is that the author categorizes religions here in the extremes as if nothing really good comes out of it. But if that's true then the churches should've been abolished by internal strife and through people's revolts long ago. Some could say that it is an attempt to portray medieval times where religion is prevalent, however it feels more like it is heavily influenced by the author's desires and biases. Lastly, the MC is inconsistent with his beliefs that I find disappointing since I had high hopes for him. I hope this helps people who read reviews carefully and decide for themselves if they want to read it or not.
Story of a pawn who was first used by a skeleton followed by a *******. If you want a heaven defying strategist/schemer m.c. do not read this novel. M.C. is a teenager who got easily carried away with his emotions.
Tiết lộ SpoilerAs a character the MC is totally disappointing he has no backbone speak of your license after you completely walked over by everyone else inside of the book and honestly completely ruins the story
The storyline follows the main character though events that make him strong at fight and controlling the power that he has stolen but the relationships the main character has are really bad as he falls in love with the girl who makes his life a mess. In the story it seam's that the only people who are OK are fatty and Andy
Tiết lộ Spoiler........sword and magic, sectarian war, political factions, humans, beasts, vampires, divinity, intrigues, betrayal, manipulate, strategies and many more all piled into this wonderful novel
Alright, first thing you need to know is that this is not your usual xuanhuan/wuxia novel. There are barely any cultivation, there are no 3-chapter-long description of the MC ****** a breakthrough. If that's what you're into, this novel is not for you. However, when placed into the category of western fantasy, this is amazing. There are no info dump, no made up stuff popping out of nowhere, no clumsy dialogue that are way too long just to explain something ******. In short, if you have read and enjoyed novels like Harry Potters, Percy Jackson, etc. you will enjoy this. The story is well planned out and most of the details are done deliberately. There are certain details that seems illogical at first, but as the story progresses, everything will be explained. For example, at the beginning, MC broke into a noble mansion, despite all the noises, no guard showed up. It seems stupid, but it all makes sense as the story progresses. The pace of the plot is very well done, each arc is like a book, it starts out slow and easy, situations occur, then hints are provided, the story will steadily move toward the climax, then the aftermath. The world is building is great, everything is mapped out since the beginning. There are no typical cliches such as the opening of a new realm/area that no one ever heard about. Anything the MC done will be mentioned again and have certain degree of impact over the development of the story, unlike in the normal chinese web novel where once an arc is finished, it's completely forgotten. The character development is decent, the MC's personality is realistic. A 18 years old virgin is certainly going to go stupid for beauties. It's stupid to expect a teenage warrior to behave like a master strategist from the get go. The MC started out as an ****** perv. His love for beauties got him into troubles that gradually reshape his personality as time goes. The side characters are mainly members of his harem, but at least they're concious about the fact that harem is bad. Other than that, their personalities are quite distinctive, different from each other and not just copy and paste. The antagonists are most of the time not a single individual. More over, the antagonists are not necessarily bad, and the MC isn't always right. They all have their goals, or reasonable motives. They schemes instead of using power, they don't rely on their background, they don't go crazy from "losing face", they also dont yell "you're courting death" every 2 sentences. In short, they aren't retards. Other than that, there are references from a bunch of different mythologies, as well as manga. It ranges from Norse myth, to Greek, even the Bible, the MC also literally goes super saiyan once in a while. Did I mention breaking the 4th wall?
