Chương 5: Chapter 4: A Month of Progress, Prototype Virus

Author here~ It will take atleast one or two more chapters before some action as I have to introduce everyone with his capabilities.

Please have patience with me.

It has been a month since I arrived in this world, and I must admit, my progress has been extraordinary.

To begin with, I've mastered space magic to an almost absurd degree. I can now efficiently use it in battle and am capable of transferring entire continents from one place to another. Yes, continents. What's more, when it comes to casting blessings or curses, I can now spread them across the entire world—a feat usually impossible, but with my infinite mana, the rules don't apply to me.

As for other forms of magic, I've acquired complete knowledge of the magic from the Harry Potter universe. It's an invaluable asset, and no, I don't require incantations or wands for any of it. All I need is a deep understanding of the phenomenon, and I can wield it effortlessly.

For protection, I've delved heavily into soul magic. While my Omni-field renders me immune to all forms of magic—since magic is, after all, just another form of energy—it doesn't hurt to have extra layers of defense. After all, redundancy is the key to survival.

The core of this progress was completed in the first three days. Since then, I've been occupied with other projects. My Essence of the Mad Doctor gives me full control over DNA—mine and others'—so ensuring top-tier human performance for myself was a given. But I wanted more, not just for myself but for my people and my territory.

Initially, I considered replacing all the servants in the castle with superhuman clones to eliminate the risk of spies. However, such a sudden change would raise suspicion, especially from House Stark, as I am still under the control of a regent. They might think the regent was plotting something dangerous against me, the hier.

While pondering this dilemma, inspiration struck from an unexpected source: a famous game. That's when I came up with the perfect plan to make my territory both spy-proof and filled with superhuman strength.

For this, I entered the Resource World granted by the Essence of the Scientist for the first time. It truly is a treasure trove, containing every resource imaginable and the knowledge to create anything.

[Resources world]

I began by pulling out three books: The Sentry Serum and The Super Soldier Serum from the Marvel universe, and a third on the Prototype Viruses. Of course, I avoided the Blacklight Virus—I have no desire to deal with an uncontrollable infection.

Step 1: The Super Soldier Serum (SSS)

This was the easiest to recreate, given my combined abilities as the Mad Doctor and Scientist. It was completed quickly, and the results were fantastic.

Step 2: The Sentry Serum

This was trickier. Its very creation was an accident in the Marvel universe, but with the right resources and knowledge, I managed to replicate it in six days. However, I consider the Sentry Serum an emergency tool—something I'd use only as a last resort. It's disgustingly overpowered. Right now, my abilities make me nearly invincible in magical combat, but I lack physical supremacy on the same level. The Sentry Serum would make me a god among men, but for now, I prefer to rely on my current capabilities. Atleast now, I can control this power. Sentry will only need one breath to fling whole of westeros as few light years away.

Step 3: The Prototype Virus

This project consumed the most time—a full twenty days. The virus wasn't merely recreated; I enhanced it. I used the Essence of the Archmage to imbue it with additional properties. The Prototype Virus now functions more like Venom's symbiote. It allows its host to absorb the physiology, powers, and even memories of any being they consume, and I've upgraded the virus to work on higher-tier beings, including Celestials and even Galactus—provided they can be immobilized.

[Prototype Virus]

Once the virus was perfected, I assimilated it into myself. The sensation of consuming a clone infected with the Super Soldier Serum—its body dissolving into black and red tendrils as I absorbed it—was intoxicating. The taste of power was... indescribable.

Implementation

I stepped out of the Resource World and began releasing Prototype spores across my territory. My virus acts as a "Queen," controlling the spread and assigning autonomy to individuals. Everyone infected is connected to a hive mind, ranked in a hierarchy I control. The virus spreads rapidly, but I've restricted its range to my territory. By noon, every person within my domain will be infected.

Importantly, this isn't mind control. The infected retain their personalities and free will, with a few exceptions: they know some things about my powers, cannot betray me, and must obey my commands. Oh! I almost forgot, they are bound to me magically and genetically, through body and soul so no chance of betrayal. Otherwise, they live their lives as usual. Even reproduction remains unaffected. The virus can also be removed, leaving the individual entirely human again, but only I hold that authority.

For now, I've chosen not to infect Sereyna and Sarah. Perhaps it's because I find them attractive, and infecting them might feel like forcing obedience as they wouldn't be able to refuse anything anyway. However, I've given them the highest authority after me so they can command the infected, ensuring their safety with a dormant seed of the virus that will activate in emergencies as I haven't bound them yet. Though that seed also works as a failsafe should they choose to betray me.

Ser Patrick, my loyal knight, the master-of-arms of my castle, has been designated as the commander of my new superhuman army. The rest of the infected serve as soldiers or servants.

With my plans progressing smoothly, I headed to my solar to study my house and territory. The people would be transformed by noon, but my work was far from over.

The History of House Noir

I pulled a book from the shelf titled House Noir: A Grim Legacy. The title alone was ominous. As I read, I couldn't help but admire the dark history of my house that they ROB created as my back story.

House Noir traces its origins to the Warg Kings of the North's rugged western coastline. Unlike other Warg Kings, they ruled bleak lands along the Stony Shore, their banners depicting a black raven on a red field. They were known for their deep connection to ravens, which they could summon and see through. A raven's flight meant death was near.

Despite fierce resistance, the Starks eventually subdued the Warg Kings of Noir. The survivors retained their lands but became vassals of Winterfell. Since then, House Noir has been marked by cold calculation and deadly precision. Their house words, Without Mercy, Without Fear, fit perfectly with the ruthless efficiency they displayed in battle.

Their soldiers were legendary, with a single Noir warrior said to be worth ten from any other house. Their contributions to the Bolton Rebellion, Andal Coastal Raids, and Night's Watch were chillingly effective.

Even their lords were feared. Their icy stares and silent, emotionless demeanor unnerved even their allies. Despite this, they were unwaveringly loyal to Winterfell.

Resources and Current Standing

The book revealed more about my house's current state:

Population: 20,000, a fraction of the North's one million. This provides me with an army of roughly 10,000 if half my population is male that is. Since everyone is infected.

Ships: 40 whaling ships that can double as war galleys.

Mines: Two coal mines and one large iron mine, all underutilized due to our low population.

Our lands are poor and largely unexplored. However, with my transformation magic, this can change. If I create gold, it becomes real gold, so I can just create artificial mines if there aren't any. Wealth will not be an issue for long.

I have also come to know some interesting things regarding the choice of weapons our house uses. We actually have two valaryian steel sword, twin swords named "Heavens Sorrow" but our choice of main weapons during war is heavy axe and war hammer.

Swords are only used inside a city when you are unprepared for battle or in closed areas.

Our houses swordsmanship resembles Water dance alot because of its nimbleness and agility.

[Heavens Sorrow]

Closing the book, I couldn't help but smirk. "Without mercy, without fear. Perfect words for my army."

For now, my next step is clear: transforming this bleak territory into a prosperous, impenetrable stronghold. ROB didn't give me some legendary house but I am sure I can make it one.
