After taking Yu Hairou to a healing-type instructor for treatment, she quickly regained consciousness.
Upon returning to the team's private residence, Yan Zhining announced Qin Jian's appointment as the new captain.
For a moment, the hall fell into silence.
"What? Does anyone have any objections?" Yan Zhining asked.
The seven girls all shook their heads repeatedly.
Yan Zhining chuckled and said, "Alright then, that's settled. From now on, your individual elective courses will continue as usual. As for team training, aside from what I arrange, the captain will have full authority to decide."
"Qin Jian, do you have any thoughts on the team's training?" She turned to Qin Jian and asked.
Qin Jian glanced at the seven girls lounging on the sofas, each radiating her own charm, and gave a smile that made them all uneasy. "Well, you'll find out tomorrow."
Yan Zhining nodded and said, "The effectiveness of the team depends greatly on the performance of the control-type Soul Master, and our sole control-type, Bing'er, is quite lacking in this area. I hope you'll give her extra attention during training."
"Extra attention for Bing'er?"
The girls blinked, while Shui Bing'er quietly lowered her head.
Once Yan Zhining finally left, the girls, who had just been behaving like obedient children, immediately came to life.
"Captain, you'd better make sure to—properly train our Bing'er!" Qiu Ruoshui teased with a mischievous grin.
"Where do you plan to train her? The practice room, or maybe... the bedroom?" Gu Qingbo chimed in.
Then Shui Yue'er blurted out, "What if it's on the bed?"
"Yue'er!"
That single line made Shui Bing'er cry out in embarrassment.
"Hahaha..."
The hall erupted in laughter.
Even Xue Wu and Yu Hairou, who were usually more reserved, couldn't help but smile.
Though they initially resisted Qin Jian's appointment as their captain, their loyalty to the Skywater Battle Team and their deep bond outweighed any reluctance.
Leaving was never something they had seriously considered.
"Captain, what kind of training were you referring to earlier?" Yu Hairou suddenly asked.
Her words immediately drew everyone's attention, and the room fell silent. However, their expressions carried a trace of amusement.
The way Yu Hairou addressed Qin Jian as "Captain" was a clear sign of her acceptance of his leadership.
Xue Wu clicked her tongue and said, "Yeah, what sort of training? Captain, you'd better explain so we can be prepared."
Qin Jian smiled. "Oh, that? It's not finalized yet. Whether or not we'll do it depends on our Bing'er."
"Depends on me?"
Shui Bing'er looked up, bewildered.
The others were just as puzzled.
However, Qin Jian didn't elaborate. Instead, he grabbed Shui Bing'er's hand and pulled her up. "I checked the schedule; you're free this afternoon, so I'll start training you then."
"Tr-training?"
Shui Bing'er's eyes widened slightly.
"Where are you training?" the others asked in unison.
Qin Jian's lips curled into a sly grin. "In the bedroom."
"Whoa..."
As expected, another wave of gasps and laughter burst forth from the girls.
Once the others left to either practice or attend their classes, Qin Jian indeed dragged Shui Bing'er into the bedroom and shut the door.
"Qin... um... Captain..."
Seeing Qin Jian scanning her from head to toe, Shui Bing'er grew nervous. "What... what are you planning to do?"
"What am I planning to do?"
Qin Jian leaned in close, his warm breath brushing against her cheek. "Why, train you, of course."
"Then... what should I do?"
Shui Bing'er instinctively tilted her head back to avoid him but lost her balance in the process.
Before she could fall, Qin Jian caught her by the waist.
"Are you doing this on purpose?"
Qin Jian stepped closer, and Shui Bing'er found herself pressed against him.
"I am not!"
Blushing furiously, Shui Bing'er darted away and stammered, "You're the one taking advantage of me!"
"How did I take advantage of you?" Qin Jian feigned innocence.
"You... you hugged me..." Shui Bing'er mumbled, hugging herself as she looked down, visibly flustered.
"You were about to fall. I just helped you."
Qin Jian said nonchalantly, "Besides, it was just a hug. That's perfectly normal."
"Normal?!"
Shui Bing'er was stunned. "What part of that is normal? I've never been hugged by a man before!"
"Relax. By the end of this afternoon, you'll get used to it."
"Ah..."
Shui Bing'er hugged herself tightly once again. "What are you going to do to me?"
"Me? Oh, I'm here to teach you... how to dance!"
"Huh? Dance?"
Relieved it wasn't something inappropriate, Shui Bing'er was still confused. "Why are you teaching me to dance?"
Qin Jian sat down on the edge of the bed and said, "Because the team's first training task is this, and you're the lead dancer. Tomorrow, you'll be responsible for teaching the others."
"Team training... dancing?"
Shui Bing'er felt her head spinning. "How is dancing considered training?"
"Why wouldn't it be? I say it counts," Qin Jian said casually.
Shui Bing'er was left speechless.
She had a sinking feeling that the Skywater Battle Team was about to be turned upside down by Qin Jian.
"Actually... dancing doesn't require hugging. I can dance, and you can follow along," Shui Bing'er suggested.
"I knew you were sharp—no wonder you didn't fall for it so easily."
Qin Jian sighed dramatically before grinning again. "But I'm still going to teach you hand-in-hand. What can you do about it?"
"Qin Jian, you... you're impossible..."
Shui Bing'er's face turned beet red. "You didn't make us practice dance just so you could do this, did you? That's too irresponsible!"
The once strong and heartfelt image she had of him was quickly crumbling.
"Don't get me wrong, Bing'er. I may have some personal motives, but they're only a small part of it..."
Knowing he'd gone too far, Qin Jian softened his tone. "There's a purpose to this training, and it's important for the team. Don't misunderstand me."
"Dancing... has a purpose?" Shui Bing'er pouted.
Qin Jian ruffled her hair. "You'll understand in time. For now, you'd dismiss it even if I explained."
"Alright..."
Shui Bing'er glanced at him suspiciously. "Even if the dance is meaningful, why do you have to teach me hand-in-hand?"
"Well... it's a girls' dance. It's cute and a little flirty. Do you really want me to demonstrate it myself?"
"Pfft..."
The mental image of Qin Jian performing a girly dance made Shui Bing'er burst out laughing.
