Chương 35: Chapter -35 Arlis's inner drama.

Chapter -35.

Right now, Azkaban was transformed from its former cold and dreary self into a vibrant scene full of energy.

Every prisoner, regardless of their past crimes, pounded on the iron bars with fervor in their eyes, as if they longed to break free from this cursed place and join Lester in liberating the Ministry of Magic.

Lester could sense their excitement and felt the longing deep within their hearts.

He realized his speech had struck a chord!

His words had stirred the emotions of these prisoners, creating the perfect chance to launch an attack on the Ministry of Magic and create chaos!

"Kick some butt for freedom!!!"

With a bold gesture, Lester spread his arms wide, connecting with the prisoners.

In that moment, a magnificent blue hellfire erupted from his chest.

Whoosh!!!

The roar of the blazing flames suddenly drowned out the prisoners' wild cheers!

All the prisoners instinctively held their breath at the sight of this fiery display, and after a heartbeat, they erupted into even more enthusiastic applause.

While Lester's impassioned words were invigorating, in the end, strength is what truly commands respect in the magical world.

That terrifying hellfire, conjured by Lester without a wand, captivated every prisoner present.

But that was just the beginning; the fireball Lester unleashed grew larger and larger, eventually filling a quarter of the prison's center.

Even though the prisoners were safely locked in their cells, they were just a hand's reach from this blazing inferno, which resembled the sun itself.

Boom!

Suddenly, a thunderous explosion echoed through Azkaban as the massive fireball burst in mid-air.

The giant hellfire fractured into dozens of smaller fireballs, darting systematically toward the cell doors.

To the prisoners' astonished eyes, it effortlessly melted through the iron doors that had confined them for years, finally granting them true freedom!

"This..."

Even Arlis, who now felt pitiful and powerless, was left speechless with shock upon witnessing Lester using hellfire to unlock the door.

It was worth noting that even he, a master dark wizard skilled in dark magic, couldn't accomplish what this mere 10-year-old boy, Lester, had managed with such ease. It was nothing short of astonishing!

"Maybe he really can transform the Wizarding world."

Arlis recognized that Lester's fervent speech had indeed awakened a fire within him.

Yet, initially, from a practical perspective, he hadn't believed Lester could achieve much.

After all, he was still just a child; despite his incredible persuasive skills and strong rhetoric, the magical world ultimately values strength.

Without sufficient power, no matter how much your ideas resonate with others, you'll merely become a pawn in the hands of the strong, rather than a player.

But now, witnessing Lester's unmatched magical prowess, Arlis realized this boy was destined for greatness, even at just ten years old.

"Unfortunately, I've already wronged him."

Remembering his past desire to assassinate Lester sent a shiver down Arlis's spine.

From his time in Azkaban, he knew Lester was indeed a formidable character.

By choosing not to kill him, he was merely subjecting him to torment.

"If only Lester had been born 30 years earlier."

If Lester had been born three decades sooner, with his exceptional magical strength and incredible ability to persuade, Voldemort would never have risen to power. Even the currently arrogant pure-blood aristocrats would have bent the knee to Lester.

Thus, he wouldn't have had to serve the Venus family like a dog just to learn advanced magic in his youth.

Maybe he could have held a decent position in the Ministry of Magic under Lester's influence.

But now, reflecting on it was pointless; Lester had already risen, while he found himself in a useless position.

Just as despair started to settle in, Arlis suddenly noticed the usual clamor around him quiet down.

As he lay there like a lifeless object, a shadow passed over him.

When he looked up, the figure was none other than the very Lester he had been contemplating!

Seeing Lester's emotionless expression filled Arlis with a profound silence.

If he was right, Lester approaching him now likely meant he was there to end his life as a sacrifice to uplift morale.

"Sigh, I really wish I could witness the flourishing world you envision!"

In the face of death, Arlis felt no fear, only a deep sense of regret.

When he first entered the Wizarding world, it was during a time when pure-blood wizards were overpowering, and he suffered their bullying from childhood, only to serve them like a beast in adulthood.

He had grown tired of this decayed wizarding world, filled with confusion and hopelessness, forced to be a weapon for the aristocrats, clearing away their enemies.

One day, when that weapon rusted, it would be ruthlessly discarded by those same nobles.

"Younger boss Lester, if I have a second chance, I would definitely follow you to see the wizarding world you describe—one where everyone is equal, and even Muggles can live with dignity!"

With these thoughts, Arlis closed his eyes resignedly, awaiting death.

"Come on, end my life! If my passing can hasten the arrival of a better era and allow the dim magical world to shine once more, then I, Arlis, will die without regrets!"

Just as Arlis prepared to sacrifice himself for Lester's cause to overthrow the Ministry of Magic, wearing a heroic expression, Lester, observing him quietly, found himself puzzled.

"Why does this guy have such a dramatic expression?"

Unaware of the complex feelings stirring in Arlis's heart, Lester thought he was a bit off.

One moment Arlis appeared cheerful, and the next he looked heartbroken, as if he had lost everything.

Now, with an expression resembling a generous martyr, Lester was left feeling confused since he had intended to recruit Arlis.

"Should I really bring him on as a subordinate?"

Lester hesitated. His only other accomplice, Carson, had already proven to be somewhat slow-witted.

However, since Carson essentially served as a shield, it was easier to manage him if he was a bit less sharp, so Lester accepted that.

But this Arlis in front of him was powerful, and if he intended to have him as an ally, would having someone so unpredictable under his command be a wise decision?
