The warmth of morning sunlight streamed through the window. Its golden glow illuminated the room in soft hues, followed by birds chirping sounds, as I blinked awake. My body still aching slightly from the exhaustion of yesterday's horrendous events. But a brief moment of relief washed over me, knowing I truly had survived.

Pushing aside the blanket, I rose from the bed and approached the window. The cool glass pressed against my palm as I peered out from the gray curtain. The view beyond the castle walls revealed a breathtaking sea of misty green forest stretching endlessly toward the horizon. Sharp, snow-dusted mountain peaks loomed in the distance like ancient sentinels guarding the realm.
