Chương 9: Systems functions
Veyron sprinted through the dense forest at breakneck speed, his powerful legs carrying him faster than any normal human could manage. The wind whipped past him, leaves and branches snapping in his wake. Slung over his shoulder, Sinith's limp body bounced with each stride, her chest pressed firmly against his back.
"Gotta say, having you this close has its perks," Veyron muttered to himself, feeling the soft pressure of her breasts through his thin armor. He couldn't help but let his mind wander. Damn, this fox-chick. If you weren't such a pain in my ass, I'd have more fun with this.
[System Alert: Would you like to explore the full range of system features? ♥]
Veyron ignored the notification flashing in the corner of his vision, too busy indulging in his indecent thoughts. If only the system would let me skip the whole consent part... He shook his head, grinning to himself as he imagined Sinith squirming under his touch.
The system, however, wasn't going to let him ignore it.
[System Alert: ♥ Feature Walkthrough Available ♥]
A bright pink heart icon flashed repeatedly in the corner of his vision. "What the fuck do you want?!" Veyron yelled, his voice echoing through the forest and startling a flock of birds from the nearby trees. In his frustration, he didn't notice Sinith's head bouncing precariously close to a low-hanging branch.
Thunk!
Her forehead smacked into the tree trunk with a dull sound, but Veyron just kept running, dude didn't care. "Oh, you're fine," he muttered, glancing back briefly to make sure she was still breathing.
The system, undeterred by his outburst, continued to flash in his field of vision.
[System Alert: Would you like to explore the—]
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Veyron growled, his patience wearing thin. But the system seemed to have its own plans. Without waiting for his approval, the notification transformed into a blinding pink light that filled his vision, forcing him to skid to a halt.
"I told you to—" Veyron started to yell, only to stop mid-sentence as the bright light faded and a sleek, dazzling interface appeared in front of him.

The display was filled with glowing pink hearts, elegant fonts, and a layout so polished it looked like it had been designed by a demon with a twisted sense of aesthetics. The buttons glowed softly, inviting him to explore:

Veyron's eyes scanned the options, his frustration momentarily forgotten. The system's flashy presentation was ridiculous, but one button in particular caught his attention.
"Mind Break?" he read out loud, a devilish grin slowly spreading across his face. "Now hold on, you naughty, naughty bastard," he muttered, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "And here I thought I was the sick one."
The system's hearts pulsed brighter as if acknowledging his intrigue.
"Alright, you've got my attention now," Veyron said, chuckling darkly to himself. "This... could actually be fun."
Veyron's eyes gleamed with perverse excitement as he tapped on the Mind Break icon. But instead of a menu filled with delightful options for corrupting the minds of beauties, a new message popped up:
[System Notice: No tamed demi-humans available for this feature. Please acquire a tame to unlock.]
The smile on Veyron's face vanished instantly. "What do you mean, 'no tamed demi-humans'?" he murmured, his voice rising in frustration. "I'm the fucking demon king! Just let me use the damn feature!"
But the system remained infuriatingly unresponsive, flashing the same message over and over.
[System Notice: No tamed demi-humans available—]
"Shut up! Just let me use it, you piece of—" Veyron's voice boomed through the forest, startling more birds into the sky.
As he ranted, Sinith groggily regained consciousness, blinking and rubbing her eyes. Her head throbbed from where it had smacked into a tree trunk. "Ugh... what the..." She squinted, realizing she was moving. Then it hit her: she was slung over someone's back.
"What the hell?!" Sinith screamed, immediately recognizing who it was. "You perverted demon! Put me down!"
Without waiting for a response, she wrapped her hands around Veyron's throat, squeezing with all her strength. "I'll kill you, you bastard!"
Veyron, however, was too engrossed in his argument with the system to even notice. "Oh, come on! 'No tamed demi-humans'? I saved her life, didn't I? That counts for something!"
Sinith, tightening her grip, hissed into his ear. "You piece of shit, I swear I'll—"
Veyron didn't even flinch, barely registering her strangling attempts as he continued to rant. "Seriously? I go through all the trouble of carrying this woman, and your bullshit—" He shot a glare at the floating screen,. "—and you're telling me I can't use the one feature I'm actually interested in?!"
Sinith's eyes widened. "Who the hell are you talking to?" she demanded, her voice strained from the effort of trying to choke him out.
"Shut up, bitch," Veyron snapped, finally realizing she was conscious. "I'm trying to deal with this goddamn system."
"You're insane," Sinith growled, still trying to throttle him, but her efforts were more like a mild nuisance to the Veyron. "Talking to thin air while carrying me like a sack of grain? Just let me down already!"
Veyron continued to stomp through the forest, completely ignoring her strangling attempts. "System, I swear, if you don't let me use that feature, I'll—"
