Kado knew very well that the greatest weakness of Devil Fruit users was falling into the sea. In the One Piece world, many powerful users likely died because they fell into the ocean. He had always been afraid that while sailing on the sea, he might fall in. However, this time, his worries were significantly reduced. As long as he could freeze the space above the sea when he was about to fall in, he wouldn't have to be afraid anymore.
This was similar to Admiral Aokiji's Ice-Ice Fruit, where he could freeze the surface of the sea into ice and walk on it.
Thinking of this, Kado couldn't help but recall Aokiji's other iconic ability—riding a bicycle on the sea. When he saw this scene in the anime before, Kado was deeply captivated by Aokiji's effortless, stylish bicycle riding. He was so impressed that he drooled. Now, it seemed that his own ability might allow him to lock the sea and ride on it as well. This made him feel much less dissatisfied with the fact that his Devil Fruit wasn't a Logia-type.
Who says Logia types are the most powerful abilities? Whitebeard's Quake-Quake Fruit is far stronger than many Logia-type fruits, and there's also Golden Lion's Float-Float Fruit and Sengoku's Buddha-Buddha Fruit. These abilities are probably stronger than many Logia types. Perhaps my Lock-Lock Fruit will also become stronger than a Logia-type. Kado couldn't help but start daydreaming again.
Thinking of the Quake-Quake Fruit, Kado couldn't help but recall how Whitebeard casually shattered space with a single blow. Since space can be shattered, then the space he had frozen could surely be shattered as well. So, how much force could his Devil Fruit's power actually withstand?
Kado froze a piece of space in front of him and suddenly threw a powerful punch.

Kado then thought about how Armament Haki could, to some extent, bypass the powers of a Devil Fruit. What if he tried using Haki?
He focused his Haki on his fist and applied the same amount of force as before, slamming it into the frozen space in front of him.
Sure enough, the attack infused with Haki nearly shattered the frozen space. It seemed that his ability wasn't an absolutely invincible defense; if the force exceeded a certain threshold, it could still break the space he had frozen.
Kado thought for a moment, then reduced the frozen space in front of him, originally one square meter, to the size of a human head. He then activated his Haki again and used the same amount of force to strike it.
Kado only felt a huge recoil, almost getting thrown back. He was overjoyed in his heart—his guess was indeed correct. The larger the frozen space, the weaker its defense would be. But if the ability only froze a small area, the defense would be greatly enhanced. Even with Haki, it would be hard to shatter such a space.
Excited by this new discovery about his Devil Fruit power, Kado eagerly began to further study the other properties of his ability. Unfortunately, after a long time of research, he couldn't find any other practical uses for it.
It seems that to truly unlock the full potential of his Devil Fruit ability, Kado would need a lot more research and real-world combat experience. When Luffy wasn't fighting GP9, didn't he also fail to use Gear Second and Gear Third? It was only after going through many battles that he developed new ways to use his powers. Kado believed that as he used his ability more, other practical uses would eventually emerge as well.
As for Devil Fruit powers, Kado knew that they could only serve as a supplementary force. One's own strength was the most crucial factor. Take Ace, Smoker, and Crocodile, for example. They were all Logia-type Devil Fruit users, yet their strength didn't match that of the three Admirals of the Navy. This was perhaps due to the difference in their inherent strength. Every Devil Fruit ability has its weaknesses. Enel's lightning seemed incredibly powerful, almost god-like, but when he faced Luffy, his ability became ineffective, and his own strength couldn't match up to Luffy's. In the end, he was defeated. Kado believed that if Luffy had faced an Admiral who wasn't using a Devil Fruit ability, the one who would have been defeated would definitely have been Luffy.
Kado's excitement decreased significantly. Abilities were just external powers; they could never be as reliable as one's own strength. Besides, he would eventually have to leave the One Piece world. Who knew if, when he returned to Earth, his Devil Fruit abilities would still work?
Calming his thoughts, Kado changed into a new outfit and made sure he looked different so that no one would recognize him. After leaving the inn, he decided to go find Fite and Sanchi. Those two were probably still at the hunting tournament, waiting to sample the delicious food. Plus, he was also craving a big meal himself. Of course, he had to return to the square.
When Kado arrived at the square, it was still crowded with people. The small commotion he caused earlier was quickly settled, and most people weren't particularly concerned about him being the champion. They were just there to enjoy the food.
He quickly found Fite and Sanchi, who were wandering around near a large pile of ingredients.
Kado couldn't resist showing off his new ability.
"Come, come, let me show you a magic trick—The Legendary Cloud Ladder!"
"What's the matter? Hurry up, I still need to pick some ingredients," Sanchi replied, a little annoyed. He had finally found so many rare ingredients, and with Kado backing him up with over a billion Berries, he could fully enjoy the pleasure of buying them. But here was Kado, ruining the moment. Wasn't he just asking to be scolded?
"Hehe," Kado chuckled, pointing at the air in front of Sanchi. "There's actually a transparent staircase here. You can walk up it, just like walking in mid-air."
"Really?!" Fite looked at Kado as if he were an idiot. He was thinking, Has Kado lost his mind after eating the Devil Fruit? There's clearly nothing there, but he's saying there's a transparent staircase.
"Haha, of course it's real! If you don't believe me, I'll walk it for you," Kado said with a mischievous grin. He began walking in mid-air, and sure enough, it was as if there was a transparent staircase in the air. Kado climbed up, step by step.
"Haha, now do you believe me?" Kado said as he walked down from the staircase, looking smugly at Sanchi and Fite.
"Really? Quick, quick, tell me where the staircase is! I have to try it; this is just too amazing!" Sanchi was dumbfounded, unable to resist the urge to give it a try.
"Look, it's right here," Kado said, patting the air in front of him. He activated his ability and froze the space in that area.
Sanchi eagerly reached out to touch the spot Kado had patted, and sure enough, it felt as if there was a staircase-like structure in the air.
"Haha, let me try it! This is almost like flying! Flying was my dream when I was a kid. Although it's not really flying, it's still a cool experience!"
After saying that, Sanchi took a step forward and stepped onto the invisible staircase. His feet felt as if there was solid ground beneath him, and there really seemed to be a staircase.
Sanchi, mimicking Kado, stepped up higher. Unfortunately, Kado hadn't frozen the space above, and as expected, Sanchi immediately fell flat on his face, crashing to the ground in a face flat on the ground position.
"Damn, what's going on? Where is the staircase?!" Sanchi grumbled as he stood up, his face full of confusion.
"You went the wrong way. The next part of the staircase is in that direction," Kado said, struggling to hold back his laughter as he pointed in the other direction.
"Oh, I see now. The transparent staircase is the problem; it's hard to find where it is," Sanchi muttered.
After Sanchi finished speaking, he stepped back onto the staircase and walked in the direction Kado had pointed.
"Thud."
Sanchi immediately fell to the ground again. This time, he realized what was happening. Kado must be messing with him after getting his Devil Fruit powers.
"Damn it, you dare to fool me!" Sanchi jumped up from the ground in a flash, waving a pan in his hand and pouncing on Kado, "I'm going to fight you."
"Hahaha!" Kado couldn't hold it in anymore and burst into laughter. Laughing, he ran off into the distance, dodging Sanchi's attacks.
