Chương 5: Joke Of The School!
"Hey, kid, did you lose your mind?"
Seeing how Ezra was acting blanked out and unresponsive, James glared at him harshly and threatened him, "I'm warning you: if you dare take speak to Celeste in the future, I'll beat you up again! Understood?! I'll beat you up every time you look at her!"
Since Ezra had just received his transcendence benefits, naturally he wouldn't be bothered with this young man in puberty.
He thought to walk around him to continue towards the class when James suddenly roared in laughter.
"Hahahaha! Y-you actually linked with your dad'a farm animal! I mean I guessed your family is too broke to purchase a real beast, I-I didn't think you would link with a sheep!"
"Hahahaha. This is the funniest shit I've ever seen this year!"
Ezra glanced at the kid indifferently. The thing about his Monster was that its disguise is just too deceiving! The sheep was in its calm state, looking like a normal black sheep only that it was especially tall and large, with four horns coiled behind him.
How could someone like James see through his Silver grade Monster. It's simply impossible.
He was about to ignore James and walk towards the class when he heard something from behind him.
Arella's figure came out of nowhere, looking at Ezra with a grieved expression, saying, "Dear Ezra, you didn't wait for me–"
Arella saw James blocking Ezra's way the moment she turned her head.
Her expression immediately changed, shouting coldly, "What are you trying to do, James?! I'm warning you: if you ever dare find trouble with my Dear Ezra, I'll beat you up so badly that your parents won't be able to tell you apart from a mad man."
Ezra covered his face in shame, sighing inwardly to himself. He really didn't wish to bother with this strong chick.
It was better to hurry his way into the class.
James was obviously very apprehensive of Arella. He chuckled, "Can't I just happen to pass by here? How controlling of you!"
After he said that, James turned around and made his way into the school with hurried steps. When he passed by Ezra, he whispered in contempt, "Trash! You needed a woman to protect you! And you call yourself a man?"
Ezra rolled his eyes and sideglanced at James and said, "Does Celeste know that you have such a cheap mouth?"
"You..." James instantly turned red in anger. Just as he thought to teach Ezra a lesson, he remembered that Arella was still watching from behind them. He could only send a threatening gaze to Ezra and continue on his way into the class with his Twin-tailed Panther.

Ezra studied at Harvard High School, located in the suburbs next to the city's police headquarters just at the city.
Outside the cities, were primeval jungles filled with hidden dangers and multiple unknown beings.
But of course that only applied to the jungles which are deep.
The government had already secured about five kilometers around Havard City.
Dangerous monsters were practically nonexistent and, even if they appeared, the top Beastmasters in the city would quickly eliminate them.
Military troops were also stationed along the edges of the city totally preventing dangerous monsters from escaping the jungle.
Only a few low-leveled, non-threatening monsters occasionally wandered in from the outside to the outskirts of the city.
But this just allowed senior students from big schools and the various Beastmasters in the City a chance to practice their skills and earn a bit of moeny.

At the entrance of the hall was a teacher; Mrs Lorraine.
"Good morning, Ms. Lorraine," Ezra walked over and greeted her.
Lorraine smiled and nodded her head. She replied in a gentle voice, "Ezra, you've finally linked with a beast, congrats. You can go to the class first. I will come once we are all there."
Although she tried her best to smile, the grace of pity in her eyes still flowed when she spotted the black sheep following Ezra from behind.
She was well aware of his family situation but she couldn't help as it was way too expensive to purchase a good beast.
Students who were well-liked by teachers usually fell into two categories: those who scored good grades and mischievous students.
Ezra was naturally the former. After all, his results were at the top of the class and the fourth in the grade.
He was also a quiet student who did not cause trouble, which set his teachers' minds at ease.
Going into the building, he went up the elevator which stopped at the 12th floor.
In the class, Ezra could see that some students had already arrived.
Ezra typically didn't get along with any of his classmates and was categorized as a loner through and through.
Because he was a year older than the others, because he didn't own a single monster at this age, this alienated him from the rest of his class mates.
Right now, Ezra walked down the rather large class, straight to the back, at this moment, the Abyssal Bloodhoof Wrathram also followed from behind.
It was then his classmates noticed that Ezra had finally beast-linked.
The purely black sheep captured the attention of many classmates.
"Uhn... Isn't that just a black sheep!"
"Don't tell me Bane and James were right, Ezra actually linked with a black sheep!"
"Haha! This is too funny!"
"Who knew he would actually link with his daddy's farm animal!"
The classmate's murmur turned into a violent fit of muffled laughter.
They couldn't believe what their eyes were witnessing.
This was the first time they had seen someone wasting their first link to link with a farm animal! No one would ever do that.
The laughter continued and the chatter never ceased as the students found a new topic to gossip about.
It was beyond their wildest comprehension what their eyes just witnessed.
Ezra ignored the laughter of his classmates and sat at his regular seat, just at the edge of the class.
He couldn't help sneering coldly in his mind. His sheep was an actual epic-grade beast that had reached the limit of its evolution. But they actually laughed at it.
'Ignorant fools.' Ezra proceeded to ignore them. Closing his eyes, he activated the beast link and began familiarizing himself with his beast.
