The Mage Guild revered the six elemental gods, each representing one of the six basic elements of the world. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Darkness were the six pillars upon which the guild's power and teachings rested.

In stark contrast, the Chaos Sect also worshipped elemental gods, but their focus was not on the traditional deities. Instead, they venerated the Chaos Mother, the mother of all six elements, believed to be the origin of everything.

Because of this, the sect was considered a heretical and blasphemous cult by many, with the Chaos Mother dismissed as a myth, a concoction of twisted imagination, by most traditional mages.
