"You managed to fully activate your chakra and learn the Peacock Technique without even practicing under the influence of the 'Star'."
Inside the Wood-Style helicopter cabin.
Both Natsuhi and Hotarubi were shocked, staring at Kiyoshi in disbelief.
The blue chakra beast wasn't large but exuded a dangerous aura that made them wary.
Had he truly mastered the hidden technique of the Hoshigakure so easily?
"Amazing."
Even Karin couldn't help but be astonished.
She looked at Kiyoshi, her gaze filled with admiration and pride.
"Don't forget, I'm a medical ninja, after all."
Kiyoshi smiled as he spoke.
He didn't even need to form hand seals. With just a thought, the blue chakra beast before them began to shift into various forms, smooth and seamless without a hint of stiffness.
"..."
Natsuhi and Hotarubi exchanged glances.
Could any ordinary medical ninja achieve something like this?
Over the years, they and their comrades had endured tremendous hardship and pain practicing under the influence of the 'Star,' barely mastering the Peacock Technique.
Yet here he was, having only glanced at the training scroll once, already wielding it with ease.
He hadn't even touched the treasured 'Star' of Hoshigakure.
And he'd mastered the Peacock Technique completely.
The couple didn't know what to say, deeply humbled by this direct display of skill.
"Don't think I'm joking. It's all thanks to your help, actually."
Kiyoshi explained with a smile, "While treating you both, I gained a deep understanding of chakra activation principles, and with my chakra control, I could easily activate my own chakra and master Hoshigakure's Peacock Art."
There was no denying it.
A technique allowing direct flight without external tools was incredibly useful.
Of course, he didn't lack attack methods, and flying was a trivial feat for someone wielding the Wood-Wood Fruit powers.
The real reason he asked Natsuhi and Hotarubi for the Peacock Art was to see if he could modify it and then teach it to Karin, Tenten, Ino, Kurenai, and others.
As he expected, it worked even better than he'd anticipated.
While treating Hotarubi and Natsuhi, he had effortlessly uncovered the principles of chakra activation.
Once he received the training notes from Natsuhi, he quickly understood every facet of the Peacock Art, mastering it swiftly.
He even modified it, creating his own version of the Peacock Art Techniques.
"So, that's how it is."
Natsuhi and Hotarubi suddenly realized, their eyes widening.
They exchanged a glance, sighing, "Kiyoshi-sama, you truly are strange, mastering the Peacock Art without ever touching the 'Star'."
"This is the heart of the Land of Fire. You're both recovering well. From here on, just maintain a balanced diet and rest for a full recovery."
Kiyoshi gently reminded them.
It wasn't that he was eager to part ways but that Natsuhi and Hotarubi would soon head back to the Land of Bears, while they traveled in different directions.
"Thank you both so much."
"Then, we shall part here."
Not long after, the Wood-Style helicopter door opened.
Looking at the beautiful sunset on the horizon, Hotarubi and Natsuhi felt reborn, filled with gratitude as they bid farewell to Kiyoshi and Karin.
With their gas masks on, the two formed hand seals together:
"Peacock Art: Feathered Wings Transformation."
A purple chakra spread out behind them like a peacock's fanned tail, transforming into two brilliant wings.
With a flap, they took off toward the distant sky.
"Goodbye."
Karin waved them off.
Earlier, during Hotarubi's surgery, she had heard from Natsuhi about the dangerous effects of 'Star' training and their reason for leaving their village and son behind.
She truly hoped the family could be reunited.
Kiyoshi had continued treating Natsuhi, whose condition was milder and outside their original agreement, at Karin's request.
Watching the couple fly off, Karin called out, "Natsuhi, Hotarubi, you're healthy now—return to your village."
"I'm sure your son wants to be with his parents."
"Thank you, Karin."
"We will return to the village soon."
Hotarubi and Natsuhi both replied with smiles.
They no longer had to fear sudden health issues from prolonged 'Star' training and could look forward to reuniting with their son.
"Take care, then."
Kiyoshi said with a warm smile.
He watched the two figures disappear into the distance.
---
With the cabin doors closed, the Wood-Style helicopter continued toward Konoha.
"That Peacock Art Technique is so cool."
Watching the two figures fade into the horizon, Karin was full of envy.
"But the side effects are too great."
Flight was, after all, a human dream.
She remembered how Kiyoshi had easily activated his chakra, mastering the Peacock Technique without the aid of the 'Star,' avoiding any adverse effects.
She gazed at Kiyoshi with eager anticipation. "Kiyoshi, I want to learn the Peacock Technique too."
"For you, it's certainly possible."
Kiyoshi smiled. "I've already improved the training method for the Peacock Technique. I just need a bit more time to organize and perfect it."
"However, without relying on Hoshigakure's 'Star' as a shortcut, activating one's chakra is quite challenging. The difficulty is around S-Rank."
He gently patted her head, smiling, "Without the 'Star,' you'll need a certain level of chakra to qualify for the training."
"Of course, for someone like you, with your Uzumaki lineage and abundant chakra, this isn't an issue."
After his modifications, the Peacock Technique no longer required extremely large chakra reserves to train in, though the demands weren't exactly low either.
The basic requirement was similar to a standard Jonin level.
Moreover, the chakra control necessary to activate and precisely shape the chakra beast was essential.
For an Uzumaki like Karin, a skilled medical ninja with ample chakra reserves, this wouldn't be a problem.
Others might find it challenging, but with his guidance, Tsunade, Shizune, and Karin could master it swiftly.
And with his assistance using the Spirit Transformation Jutsu, even Kurenai, Tenten, and Ino could eventually learn it.
"Really?"
Upon hearing Kiyoshi's words, Karin was overjoyed, her face lighting up with excitement. "That's fantastic."
Her eyes sparkled with expectation.
She couldn't wait to experience Kiyoshi's improved version of the Peacock Art Techniques.
Imagining herself and Kiyoshi flying freely through the sky together, she found herself lost in a pleasant daze.

"Whoo-hoo—"
Early morning.
The sun rose in the sky.
Golden rays of sunlight drove away the darkness, filling Konoha village with a renewed vitality.
"Another beautiful day."
At the Konoha gate.
Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki, the gatekeepers, stretched and yawned.
But soon, their gazes sharpened.
Outside the village, two figures were approaching the gate, neither rushing nor dragging.
It was a young man and a young woman.
"Wait. are you. Ishikawa Kiyoshi?"
Izumo's eyes focused on the taller young man.
Kotetsu was stunned as well, instantly recognizing him.
After all, Kiyoshi had been taken under the wing of Tsunade, one of the Sannin. Since then, he'd become a celebrated figure in the village.
At just eight years old, Kiyoshi had already displayed remarkable talent at Konoha Hospital.
Two years ago, he had brought a red-haired woman to the village, who had also been checked over by Kotetsu and Izumo.
Apparently, she was a survivor from the Uzumaki clan.
It was said that Lady Tsunade had arranged for her to be taken in and settled in Konoha. Rumor had it that Tsunade had even taken her daughter as a disciple.
"It's been a while." Kiyoshi greeted them warmly.
He handed over his identification along with a letter of introduction from Tsunade.
Pointing to the girl beside him, who was a mix of nervousness and excitement about meeting her mother, Kiyoshi smiled and said, "This is my identification, and this is my teammate, Lady Tsunade's third student, Karin Uzumaki."
"Lady Tsunade's student."
Izumo and Kotetsu's expressions shifted as they took a closer look at Karin, who was indeed a bit tense.
Her striking red hair was unmistakably the mark of the Uzumaki clan.
They carefully examined Kiyoshi's id and the letter of introduction.
Once verified, they gave a friendly nod and allowed them entry. "Remember to stop by the Hokage's office later to get this young lady's official paperwork."
"So, this is Konoha?"
Following Kiyoshi, Karin's eyes roamed around with curiosity.
Her gaze took in the ordered layout and thriving buildings, the likes of which were far more impressive than the large cities she'd visited before.
This was the famed Konoha, the leading Hidden Village among the Five Great Shinobi Villages.
The calm, peaceful atmosphere of the village put her at ease.
By now, as the morning grew brighter, the streets had begun to fill with people, and vendors were setting up and calling out to passersby, bringing a lively energy to the town.
"Yep, this is Konoha. And it looks like your mother hasn't left for work yet, so let's go see her first. I'm sure you can hardly wait."
Kiyoshi nodded with a smile.
He closed his eyes, sensing the chakra of Keiko and confirming she was at home.
With practiced steps, he led Karin in the direction of the Ishikawa house.
Soon enough, they arrived.
At the entrance to the Ishikawa house.
Keiko was just about to leave for her shift at Konoha Hospital.
The moment she saw the two figures approaching, she froze.
"Karin?"
Even though it had been two years, Keiko recognized her daughter instantly.
The glasses, the red hair so much like her own, the familiar features—it was unmistakable.
"Mom."
Karin's emotions overwhelmed her as she took in her mother, looking much the same as two years ago but healthier and more vibrant.
Her whole body trembled.
Her eyes reddened instantly.
Unable to hold back, she rushed forward and threw herself into her mother's arms.
"Karin, is it really you."
Keiko held Karin close, her joy and excitement radiating.
She looked her daughter up and down with tear-filled eyes, smiling through her happy tears.
"My little Karin has grown so much and become even more beautiful."
"Have you behaved while staying with Lady Tsunade?"
"Mm…Mm…."
Karin couldn't manage to reply.
She just hugged her mother tightly.
Burying her face in Keiko's chest, she wept with joy.
"And you're… Kiyoshi, right?" Though two years had passed, Keiko still recognized the young man.
"Keiko-san, long time no see."
Seeing Keiko's rosy cheeks and healthy appearance, Kiyoshi felt reassured that she hadn't suffered and that her living conditions were good.
He smiled and said, "Since it's been two years, Karin has really missed you. So, Lady Tsunade gave her time off and asked me to bring her back to see you."
"Thank you so much, Kiyoshi."
Embracing her daughter, Keiko beamed with gratitude.
"Why don't you both enjoy this precious day together? I can stop by the hospital and request leave on your behalf."
Noticing Karin's reluctance to let go of her mother, Kiyoshi suggested with a smile.
Being quite familiar with Konoha Hospital, he had more than earned his medical prodigy title.
The last time he had brought Keiko back, the hospital's director had even enlisted his help in treating some of the more severe patients and injuries.
But for Kiyoshi now, it would only take a simple Wood Clone to get it done.
"Thank you so much."
Keiko accepted, grateful for his thoughtfulness.
She wasn't one for needless formalities.
Seeing her daughter after two years, she had endless things she wanted to share.
"No trouble at all. Keiko-san, enjoy your time catching up with Karin."
With a simple gesture, Kiyoshi created a Wood Clone.
He sent it off to Konoha Hospital to arrange leave for Keiko.
Without disturbing the mother and daughter further, he turned and walked away. "It's a rare chance to be back—I should drop by and visit a few old friends."
"It's a shame that Kurenai-nee isn't here."
He tried sensing Kurenai's chakra but couldn't pick it up.
"Kiyoshi, did you not hear?"
Keiko called out, smiling. "Kurenai is a Jonin now. She left on a mission just yesterday."
"Oh? Kurenai-nee is Jonin?"
Kiyoshi raised an eyebrow, though he wasn't surprised.
With access to the Genjutsu scrolls and training notes left behind by his great-grandmother, Kurenai had made impressive strides over the last two years.
Her promotion to Jonin felt inevitable.
After all, her peers—Kakashi, Asuma, and Guy—had all become Jonin long ago.
In that light, her advancement was a little overdue.
