Chương 101: Chapter 101: Break

"Just as I thought, with enough practice, I can conquer anything."

In the Netherworld Space.

A colossal figure of a towering, armored giant, stood tall, blocking out the sky.

Kiyoshi, surrounded by the shimmering chakra crystal that held the fused artifact—Kurogane Crystal, let out a soft laugh as he surveyed the scene of total devastation, where everything had been destroyed to an overwhelming degree.

He was thoroughly pleased with the impressive power of his Wind Style: Yasaka Magatama Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken, an attack crafted by combining the Yasaka Magatama, a signature ability of Susanoo and Rasenshuriken.

Thanks to his exceptional chakra control and mastery over various chakra natures, he upgraded the Rasengan, pushing this iconic technique to a new level of power.

Various types of attacks were now at his command.

"Whoo—"

With a vibrant flash, his blue wings flared, generating a powerful gust.

Appearing almost like a warrior god, the brilliant blue giant took off like lightning.

Having long since left the Land of Hot Water, Kiyoshi began his journey back, opting not to use the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. He wanted to experience the full power of his complete Susanoo.

"A man's dream never dies."

Gundams—forever a man's ultimate dream!

"Hmm?"

Soon enough—

The powerful giant made its way through the Netherworld Space, swiftly navigating back to town.

Swoosh!

Using his three-dimensional view, Kiyoshi noticed something happening in the western part of town.

He saw Tsunade with Shizune and Karin, treating a mother and her daughter in a simple house.

Kiyoshi dispelled the massive armor.

The immense chakra returned to him as he exited the Netherworld Space and reappeared in his room at the inn.

The Eternal Mangekyo pattern in his eyes faded away.

"You're safe now, don't worry."

Meanwhile...

Inside a small, modest house on the west side of town...

As the glow in her palm dimmed, Karin finished treating the mother and daughter, smiling warmly.

Watching the mother hold her daughter tightly, overwhelmed with motherly love, a flicker of envy and longing flashed in Karin's eyes.

It had been two years since she last saw her mother. She wondered if her mother was doing well in Konoha.

"Thank you... thank you so much."

The sickly woman, pale and thin, sobbed with joy, clutching her malnourished four or five year old daughter, repeatedly bowing in gratitude to Karin, Tsunade, and Shizune.

She had broken her leg while working with her child by her side, unable to afford the costly medical fees, leaving her injured for days.

She never expected such kindness.

These strangers were willing to treat her free of charge.

More than that—they were miraculous healers.

She had needed a crutch just to walk, yet now, she could move freely again.

As green light radiated from Karin's hands healing them both, she felt an incredible relief.

Karin had explained that the woman and her daughter likely suffered from long-term consumption of mildly toxic wild plants, which had accumulated to dangerous levels.

If left untreated, the toxins could become life threatening.

It frightened the woman deeply.

"No need to thank us, it's just a small act of kindness."

Having encountered this situation multiple times over the past few days, Karin remained calm, helping the woman to her feet.

"Please wait."

Just as Tsunade, Shizune, and Karin were about to leave, the woman ran into her bare kitchen, bringing back a basket of eggs.

Offering them to Karin with gratitude, she said, "We don't have much, but this is a small token of thanks. Please accept it."

"There's no need for this, we truly don't lack anything."

Seeing the dilapidated, bare house and the scrawny little girl in her mother's arms, Karin gently declined.

She knelt down and softly stroked the girl's head, smiling at the mother, "Keep these for you and your daughter. Make sure to nourish yourselves."

She then added, "And remember, avoid those wild plants from now on, they're mildly toxic and can harm your health over time."

Tsunade and Shizune, standing nearby, exchanged smiles.

"Karin, well done."

Not staying much longer, the trio left, bidding farewell to the grateful mother and daughter.

"Karin, what's wrong?"

Seeing that Karin looked somewhat downcast, Shizune, noticing her expression, asked with a gentle smile.

"You did an excellent job just now! Not only with the realignment, but also with the detoxification process—it was flawless."

"I'm fine, Shizune-senpai."

Karin shook her head, her eyes red, a slight sting in her nose.

Trying to hide her vulnerability from Tsunade and Shizune, she turned her head, holding back tears.

"That girl... she probably misses her mother."

Tsunade noticed Karin's subdued expression, recalling the mother and daughter from earlier, and let out a silent sigh.

She understood—Karin had grown up wandering with her mother, only to be separated from her for two years. Anyone would miss family under such circumstances, especially a girl like Karin.

"That's enough patients for today."

Tsunade patted Karin's head, smiling gently.

Although she could provide a familial sense of care, Tsunade wasn't Karin's actual family. Missing her mother was entirely natural.

"Mm-hmm," Karin murmured, unable to control her emotions any longer, her head bowed as tears began to fall.

Tears dripped onto the ground as Shizune looked on, a bit helpless, not quite sure how to console her.

She glanced at Tsunade, clearly asking for help. "Lady Tsunade."

"Karin—"

Hearing Tsunade's more serious tone, Karin quickly looked up, startled, and frantically wiped her tears.

Yet the more she wiped, the more tears and even her sniffles escaped uncontrollably.

Her hands fidgeted awkwardly, afraid to meet Tsunade's gaze, feeling like a child caught misbehaving, "I'm sorry, Tsunade-sama, I."

"No worries, I understand."

Tsunade's gaze softened.

Pulling the teary-eyed, trembling girl into a comforting hug, she smiled and said, "Why don't you go back to Konoha with Kiyoshi? You're granted a two week leave."

"Tsunade-sama?"

Hearing this, Karin, who had been bracing herself for a scolding, looked up in shock, her tear filled eyes wide with surprise as she glanced between Tsunade's gentle face and Shizune's supportive smile.

"Really?" she asked, incredulously, joy lighting up her face.

"Of course."

Tsunade chuckled, wiping away Karin's tears.

She playfully tapped Karin on the forehead, "You brat, you miss your mother and didn't' even tell me. Do you think I'm that heartless teacher?"

"No... not at all. I'm just so happy... sob… sob."

Chương 102: Chapter 102: Karin Sulking

"Back so soon?"

In the inn.

Kiyoshi, busy with his wood clone studying forbidden scrolls, looked up in surprise when he heard Tsunade, Shizune, and Karin knocking at the door.

"Hey, Karin, what's wrong?" Noticing Karin's red-rimmed eyes, as if she'd just been crying, Kiyoshi frowned and asked, "Who upset you?"

A glint of cold, lethal intent flashed through his eyes.

He could mess with his girl, but nobody else could.

"N-No one, you… idiot Kiyoshi."

Karin's cheeks flushed as she stammered, lowering her head in embarrassment. Quickly recovering, she bared her teeth in a mock snarl at Kiyoshi.

"Oh, knock it off, Kiyoshi. Quit with the suspicious glances."

Rolling her eyes, Tsunade rapped Kiyoshi on the head with a flick of her finger. "With me around, who'd dare to mess with Karin besides you?"

"Karin just got emotional while healing someone, she started missing her mother." Shizune explained gently from the side.

Tonton nestled in Shizune's arms also nodded in agreement.

Karin, standing behind, was blushing furiously. Her hands fidgeted as if she wanted to melt into the floor.

Maybe she was being too weak? It had only been two years since she last saw her mom… But she missed her mother so much.

"So that's what happened."

Kiyoshi exhaled, relieved. He'd thought someone had crossed a forbidden line.

"Kiyoshi, here's a mission for you. Think of it as a half-month vacation." Tsunade began, "Take Karin back to the village, let her reunite with her mother, and return in two weeks."

"Now that you've learned the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, you can find us anytime."

"The Flying Thunder God Jutsu?"

Shizune's eyes widened, a trace of shock in her voice as she looked at Kiyoshi, "Not only the Spirit Transformation Jutsu, but you've even mastered that one?"

As Tsunade's old student, Shizune had long learned about the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

Created by the Second Hokage, it had made him the fastest shinobi of his time. And who could forget the Fourth Hokage's legendary feats?

During a fierce battle, the Fourth Hokage had single-handedly turned the tide, using the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to annihilate fifty elite Iwagakure ninja in an instant, instilling terror across the battlefield.

To avoid further losses, other shinobi villages had even issued orders allowing missions to be abandoned if the Yellow Flash appeared.

"I was just lucky," Kiyoshi replied with a smile.

The Flying Thunder God Jutsu was indeed an impressive skill. However, he was planning to try refining it further to avoid some limitations it had in certain high-stakes battles.

"'Lucky,' huh." Shizune gave him a blank look, thinking to herself when she'd get "lucky" enough to completely master the Yin Seal.

Beside her, Karin looked confused, her embarrassment momentarily forgotten. "Um… what is this Flying Thunder God Jutsu?"

"The Flying Thunder God Jutsu is a space-time jutsu developed by the Second Hokage. By inscribing its mark, the user can teleport to that location instantly, regardless of distance," Tsunade explained lazily, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

"But it's highly challenging to learn, as an S-rank jutsu, requiring a special aptitude."

"Even among the Hokages, only the Second and Fourth Hokages have mastered it."

"That powerful?"

Karin's eyes widened in astonishment. This jutsu was beyond anything she'd ever imagined.

Yet, knowing Kiyoshi's talent, she didn't doubt he could master it. There hadn't been a single jutsu yet that he hadn't been able to handle.

"Want to learn it?" Kiyoshi asked with a teasing smile. "If you call me 'Kiyoshi-senpai' I might teach you."

Although he wasn't sure if Karin could handle the Jutsu, he was willing to teach her if she was truly interested.

"Hmph, as if I'd." Karin felt tempted, but she pouted and turned her head away, sulking. This annoying Kiyoshi, always teasing her—why couldn't he be a little gentler?

He was always so kind to Lady Tsunade and Shizune. When they'd first met, he'd been just as gentle with her too, but that had changed over time.

Now he just enjoyed poking fun at her, which only made her angrier because he was so good and so annoyingly charming. It was infuriating.

"Alright, enough playing around." Tsunade cut in, "Kiyoshi, Karin, pack up, it's time to go."

Looking at Kiyoshi, she rolled her eyes again. "I bet you're eager to see your girlfriends back in Konoha too, huh?"

She knew Kiyoshi had two young girlfriends waiting for him in the village. And this cheeky brat had even insisted that one of them—Kurenai, a full-grown woman—was one of them.

"Girlfriends?"

Karin's eyes grew even wider, staring at Kiyoshi in disbelief. She'd never guessed he had girlfriends. And "girlfriends," as in more than one?

Balling her fists in annoyance, she huffed, "Kiyoshi, you're such a shameless player."

"Kids shouldn't meddle in adult affairs." Kiyoshi said, knocking her on the head.

She huffed, glaring at him, but Kiyoshi just laughed, turning back to Tsunade. "Fine, a trip back home sounds good."

It had been a while, a break to see Ino, Tenten, and the others would be nice.

He missed them, especially the lovely, gentle Kurenai-nee. Plus, he couldn't let that bet with Tsunade go to waste.

"Just keep it noted down." Tsunade's eyes darted, feigning innocence as she quickly cut him off.

"Of course," Kiyoshi smirked.

He was definitely collecting on that interest later.

Watching them exchange cryptic glances, Shizune and Karin exchanged looks of their own, sensing an unspoken secret between the two.
