Chương 98: Chapter 98: Lady Luck

"Alright, let's start."

Inside the casino.

Kiyoshi smiled.

He sat beside Tsunade in front of a slot machine.

"Remember, no using ninjutsu." Tsunade confirmed again, eyeing Kiyoshi, who looked unusually confident.

She had no idea where his confidence was coming from and started to feel a bit nervous.

"I said I wouldn't, so I won't. Let's start."

Kiyoshi shrugged.

But before they could start—

At that moment.

A shinobi, sweating profusely and visibly anxious, approached. He was a sensor-type shinobi, with skills on par with a Special Jonin. Not particularly outstanding, but not weak either.

Since Kiyoshi and Tsunade entered, he'd been keeping a close watch on them. He was deeply unsettled, drenched in sweat from sensing the massive chakra within Tsunade.

As for Kiyoshi.

After two years of effort, he had now perfected his control over the Wood-Wood Fruit ability, allowing him to blend seamlessly into nature and completely conceal his chakra.

If he didn't use high-level ninjutsu, even Karin's increasingly adept Kagura's Mind Eye wouldn't be able to detect him.

That's why last time in the inn's hot spring, Karin's warning was entirely unnecessary. If he'd actually wanted to do anything, that girl wouldn't have noticed a thing.

In fact, now he'd trained his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan so thoroughly, enhancing his control over the dojutsu, Onamuchi, that if he hid in the Netherworld, no Byakugan or regular sensory technique could detect him.

Only extremely pure Byakugan or Mangekyo Sharingan level dojutsu or sensory jutsus at the level of Sage Mode could possibly catch a glimpse of him.

"Sir."

The casino owner, having heard the report, hurried over with his hired shinobi. Both of them approached Tsunade respectfully, with visible anxiety.

"Alright, I get it. I know the casino rules and don't plan on breaking them." Tsunade waved them off.

"You should know her, right?" Kiyoshi said with a smile. "The Legendary Sannin, Konoha's Princess Tsunade… also known as the 'Legendary Sucker.'"

"Legendary Sucker?"

The sensor shinobi and the casino owner couldn't help but widen their eyes. But then their faces lit up with smiles, nodding vigorously. "Of course… of course."

Tsunade's reputation over the years was indeed trustworthy.

Despite her immense strength, it was said she never resorted to using ninjutsu to cheat, nor did she ever dodge a debt.

Moreover, she always lost every gamble—and had a lot of money to boot. Any casino she visited would make a killing. That's why they called her the "Legendary Sucker."

Her legendary track record was well-known in the gambling industry.

"Good, you're here too—no one can accuse me of cheating later." Kiyoshi said to the shinobi.

"Go ahead and inspect the slot machines to make sure there's nothing fishy going on."

"That won't be necessary. We trust Lady Tsunade's reputation."

"Great."

Tsunade nodded, lifting her chin proudly and raising an eyebrow at Kiyoshi, a touch of satisfaction in her gaze.

Kiyoshi just rolled his eyes.

"Alright, first round—begin."

"Ding… ding!"

Without further ado, they inserted coins and began.

The slot machine reels whirred into motion.

"Ding!" Tsunade's machine stopped first, showing a mix of symbols with no reward. She lost.

But regardless, both she and the casino owner and sensor shinobi couldn't help but stare in shock.

Kiyoshi's machine, however, slowly came to a halt, displaying three sevens.

He'd won the super-lucky jackpot.

"What?"

It wasn't only Tsunade.

Even the casino owner's eyes were nearly popping out.

"Clink, clink, clink!"

Coins started pouring out of the machine, piling up on the floor.

The other gamblers nearby were shocked, turning to look.

Three sevens?

The lucky jackpot?

"No way, are you serious?"

"That guy… Did he cheat?"

"I've played this thing for so long and never even gotten three of the same color, let alone three sevens for the highest jackpot."

For a moment, a crowd of gamblers gathered around.

Kiyoshi grinned, looking at the flabbergasted Tsunade. "Tsunade-nee, I won the first round."

"Now, on to round two."

Before Kiyoshi could continue, the casino owner interrupted, "Wait a moment, young man. This machine is out of coins. Could you switch to another?"

At the same time, he checked the slot machine to confirm it was working normally. He glanced at the sensor shinobi, who shook his head to indicate no issues.

"Just a coincidence?" The casino owner conceded, feeling like Kiyoshi probably had rigged the machine but hadn't been caught in time.

Keeping his eyes fixed on Kiyoshi, the casino owner helped collect the winnings, and Kiyoshi nonchalantly sat down at another slot machine.

"You sure are lucky." Tsunade muttered.

She refused to believe he'd keep winning the jackpot every time.

But, annoyed by her loss, she also switched to another machine.

"Round two... begin."

"Ding… ding."

The reels spun again.

"C'mon, c'mon!" Tsunade clenched her fists, watching the slot machine intently with mounting excitement.

"Ding!" The reels stopped.

Once again, it was a random mix with no payout. She didn't even win the consolation prize.

Furious, she looked over at Kiyoshi.

"What?"

"Another three sevens?"

"Impossible! He has to be cheating."

"No, no way. All he did was insert coins and press the button—he didn't touch anything else."

The entire crowd of gamblers was in disbelief.

The casino owner was stunned, looking at the sensor shinobi, who stood behind Kiyoshi, carefully observing him. He'd sensed no chakra fluctuations or signs of cheating.

"That's the second round, Tsunade-nee." Kiyoshi winked at her, tossing a coin to the sensor shinobi. "Check it."

"No issues." the shinobi confirmed after thoroughly examining the machine, even inspecting the one Kiyoshi planned to use next.

"When luck hits, there's no stopping it." Kiyoshi said with a playful smile. "Let's keep going, Tsunade-nee."

"Hmph, it's only the second round—you're going to lose."

Tsunade was unconvinced. There was no way his luck could be that good. She'd been watching him closely, and he hadn't been cheating.

Then—

Round four, five, six…

Until round ten!

"Ding… ding!"

Under Tsunade's dumbfounded gaze, the tenth machine's screen showed three sevens for the lucky jackpot.

"Clink, clink, clink!" More coins spilled out.

The gamblers around them breathed heavily, their eyes practically glowing with envy, wishing they could snatch the winnings for themselves.

Beside Kiyoshi, several large baskets were already filled to the brim with coins.

"Another three sevens!" The casino owner's lips quivered. His face was pale as if on the verge of a heart attack.

Heartache, liverache, and sheer despair.

"Does a 'Gambling God' really exist?"

The sensor shinobi was dazed, muttering with reverence as he looked at the young Kiyoshi, eyes filled with respect—as though gazing at a god.

With his level of skill as a sensor, he was confident even the Kages from the Five Great Shinobi Villages couldn't cheat under his watch.

But Kiyoshi hadn't been caught cheating in the slightest.

Moreover, he'd been incredibly cooperative.

When asked to switch machines, he'd switched.

When asked to change coins, he'd complied.

For the last few rounds, he even let the sensor shinobi handle everything. From start to finish, he hadn't touched the machines.

If it wasn't a terrifyingly powerful skill, then it was just absurdly good luck.

But for a boy in his teens, it had to be the latter.

"Boss, cash us out... I'm done." Tsunade, thoroughly defeated by Kiyoshi, had lost all interest.

Kiyoshi, hands in his pockets, leaned close to her and whispered, "Tsunade-nee, a bet's a bet."

He thought to himself, if he had started as an average civilian or a low-ranking shinobi, he could have followed Tsunade, this "legendary sucker" with her "lose every bet" buff, and bet against her to become a millionaire.

Of course, that's assuming he wouldn't get punched to death by her first.

"Hmph, when have I ever skipped out on a bet?"

Tsunade, pouting, blushed furiously. It wasn't her fault—it should have been a sure win, yet she lost miserably.

But there was no way she'd fall for his tricks again.

This... would absolutely be the last time.

Chương 99: Chapter 99: Susanoo Artifacts

"Swish—"

Under the gaze of the casino owner, whose face twisted in pain from his losses.

Kiyoshi and Tsunade exchanged their winnings for cash, leaving with their hands full.

No one dared to pick a fight with them, and soon after leaving the casino, they used the Flying Thunder God to return to their inn.

"I'm taking Karin out for some practice," Tsunade muttered, looking deflated despite what should have been a guaranteed win.

She was worn out from the relentless game losses. "Do whatever you want, but don't go too overboard."

Over the past two years, Kiyoshi had been rigorously honing his taijutsu skills.

He didn't hesitate to spar with two Wood Clones at a time, pushing himself to the limit and accumulating scars, something Tsunade couldn't forget and often reminded him about.

"No need to worry—I'm done with those reckless stunts," Kiyoshi shrugged. "Both my taijutsu and ninjutsu have long surpassed what the Wood Clones can push me toward."

As Tsunade left, Kiyoshi returned to his room.

His eyes fell on his Wood Clone, which he'd tasked with studying the Ino–Shika–Cho clan's secret techniques. He didn't dispel it immediately.

Slowly, his deep black eyes shifted into a vibrant red, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan spinning into form.

"Netherworld." Kiyoshi invoked the ability of Onamuchi.

He vanished instantly, slipping into a vast space of his creation within a 500-meter radius.

Streets, buildings, residents, passersby—all turned into translucent, three-dimensional outlines before his eyes.

Day after day, Kiyoshi's control over his ocular powers had sharpened, fully adapting to his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

His Onamuchi, which created the Netherworld, had grown so subtle that even the Byakugan or other Sharingan users couldn't detect it.

Not even Karin's keen Kagura Mind's Eye could sense him when he was within it. Moreover, the space it covered had expanded from 200 meters to 500.

This range was more than sufficient for most battle scenarios.

"Swish—"

At that moment, the intricate patterns in Kiyoshi's eyes spun faster.

A surge of chakra materialized around him.

"Crack... crack."

Huge segments of chakra began forming a skeletal structure around him, eventually coalescing into a massive half-body skeleton giant cloaked in a blue aura.

It encased Kiyoshi protectively within its frame.

Yet, this was only the beginning.

"Swish... swish."

Thick chakra tendrils burst forth, forming muscles, tissues, and even an armor-like layer of chakra on the skeletal giant, creating a towering and intimidating figure.

The half-formed giant then started expanding, and a lower body took shape.

"Boom—"

In the Netherworld, the earth trembled.

An awe-inspiring, blue giant now stood, towering at an intimidating height, enough to make anyone tremble. If Itachi were here, he'd be speechless.

This was Susanoo, a power typically accessible only to those who possessed a pair of Mangekyo Sharingan.

Yet Kiyoshi could summon it effortlessly, displaying an armored fourth stage full body Susanoo rather than the half-formed version of most Uchihas.

To him, this feat felt almost casual—something extraordinary in its own right.

"Stage four Susanoo… Not bad," Kiyoshi muttered calmly, standing within the chest of the colossal blue giant, his arms crossed and his face calm.

He raised his right hand slightly, summoning a sword in the form of an oversized katana, its chakra emanating a sharpness that could cut anything in its path.

The mighty blue giant gripped the sword tightly.

In the next instant, the giant's eyes flared, and, wielding the enormous blue chakra blade, it swung down toward the ground with immense force.

"Zing—"

An enormous blue arc of energy sliced through the air, tearing across the ground.

"Boom, Boom!"

The ground exploded with thunderous noise, sending dust flying in all directions.

When it settled, a colossal, perfectly smooth slash mark stretched out before him, as deep as an abyss and reaching the edge of the Netherworld itself.

It was enough to make one break out in a cold sweat.

"Kagetsu Tsurugi." Kiyoshi muttered.

"The legendary weapon that's said to split mountains and seas with a single swing. The power is indeed commendable."

A faint smile formed on his lips. "However, the true highlight is Susanoo's other artifact."

In the left hand of the giant, a crystal-like gem began to take shape, radiating an ethereal glow, filling the air with mystery.

That's right.

With his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Kiyoshi, like other Uchiha who attained Mangekyo, was granted Susanoo with two unique artifacts.

The first was the Kagetsu Tsurugi—a sword capable of cutting through anything, a divine weapon of unmatched power.

The second was the Kurogane Crystal—a crystal said to be unbreakable, capable of blocking even the gates of the underworld, immune to space-time jutsu interference.

It could alter its size freely and serve as both an offensive and defensive tool.

What Kiyoshi valued most about the Kurogane Crystal, however, was its extraordinary compatibility with his Susanoo.

It could fuse seamlessly with the Susanoo itself, greatly enhancing its defenses.

"Once the Kurogane Crystal is merged with Susanoo, its defense becomes nearly unbreakable, so potent it can even counter space-time ninjutsus like Kamui," Kiyoshi mused, holding his right hand in a meditative pose.

The radiant gem flew up, transforming into a brilliant burst of light, vanishing as it integrated into the Susanoo.

The entire blue giant shimmered with an intensified, captivating glow.

"Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu."

Kiyoshi's eyes turned sharp.

"Roar."

The ground rumbled, and a massive wooden dragon sprang to life, rapidly expanding, its form menacing and its size far surpassing Kiyoshi's Susanoo.

The sight alone could make anyone's scalp tingle.

"Roar—"

Under Kiyoshi's control, the wooden dragon let out a ferocious roar, hurtling toward him and his Susanoo like a bolt of lightning.

"Huff—"

The giant, surprisingly, ignored its sword and instead clenched its left hand, where the Kurogane Crystal had been. A large fist formed, emanating a dazzling glow.

With a swift punch, it shattered the air around it, slamming straight into the dragon.

"Boom, Boom!"

The immense impact created an ear-splitting sound. The wooden dragon's head was obliterated, splintering into a cloud of wood chips.

The blue Susanoo emerged completely unharmed.

The scene was unreal.

The legendary wood dragon, known to bind even Tailed Beasts, had been destroyed with a single blow.

Normally, a Susanoo couldn't overpower the wood dragon so effortlessly.

But this was the result of Susanoo perfectly fusing with the Kurogane Crystal, amplifying its defenses to an unimaginable level, making it impervious and lending it terrifying strength.

Such power was truly staggering.
