I have to say, this group of vampires had very durable eardrums.
The music at the scene was deafening. After Cohen emptied two magazines, dozens of vampires turned to dust.
Yet those in the back had no idea what had happened and kept partying.
It wasn't until Cohen shot the DJ, abruptly stopping the music, that the remaining vampires realized something was wrong.
A few stubborn ones tried to rush him, but he sent them back to their maker with a single bullet each.
He didn't rush forward, calmly guarding the front entrance, his finger continuously pulling the trigger.
Almost every shot took down a vampire.
Faced with this situation, the rest of the vampires panicked and fled toward the back of the stage. As they opened the rear door to escape, a bright, blinding purple light suddenly flashed!
The fast runners instantly turned to ash.
The rest, howling in despair, retreated.
At this moment, Cohen was in the middle of his second reload. After firing over seventy bullets, half of the vampires in the room were already dead.
The notification sounds in his mind kept ringing.
The remaining vampires were even more desperate, rushing toward him in a frenzy. But Cohen was prepared.
He threw a handful of silver dust, and the air was instantly filled with fine, shimmering particles.
The silver dust acted like a solid barrier. Any vampire that came into contact with it felt searing pain on their skin.
If they accidentally inhaled it, they could only collapse on the ground, writhing in agony.
By the time his third magazine was empty, the room was completely cleared.
The surviving vampires were hiding in various corners, some planning sneak attacks, others just hoping to survive.
But with Cohen's infrared vision, their body heat made them stand out like beacons.
Calmly, he walked through the room, shooting as he went, cleaning out the entire dance hall.
Just then, a bewildered voice sounded behind him: "What the hell happened here?"
Cohen turned around to see a black man in a leather jacket, carrying a long blade on his back and wearing sunglasses, standing at the entrance.
In his hands was a shotgun, but he couldn't find a target to shoot.
It was Blade.
A smile tugged at the corner of Cohen's mouth. "You're late. I took care of all the vampires at this blood feast."
"Who are you?"
"I'm the famous vampire hunter, Night Walker. Haven't you heard of me?"
Blade was slightly taken aback. "No, I've only heard of Day Walker."
Cohen's smile widened. "Day Walker, huh? I've heard of that. But a real man dares to face the strongest enemies. Who cares about the day? I'm best at killing in the dark!"
"I, uh, the name Day Walker isn't really about the time of day... It's for the vampires," Blade started to explain.
"Oh?"
Cohen's eyes lit up, and he stepped forward to shake Blade's hand. "So you kill people too. That makes us both big criminals. A pleasure to meet you, Blade."
Still confused, Blade shook his hand. Cohen rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a business card.
It had nothing but a simple number and a cartoonish devil face.
"This is my number. Let's kill together sometime. I've got something else to do, so I'm off. Bye!"
He left through the back door, reuniting with David and driving away.
Blade stared at the card in his hand, still perplexed, when suddenly footsteps approached from behind. "Hurry, someone called the police. There might be a murderer inside. Everyone... Hey, you in the trench coat, hands up!"
Blade rolled his eyes. Fox missed the prey, and now he's stuck with a mess.
...
On the way back, David was driving while Cohen eagerly opened his system interface.
A series of notifications popped up.

[Congratulations on achieving the Hundred Kill Achievement: Special Achievement Package.]
Next came the exciting part: opening the packages.
Since he had just killed over a hundred vampires, he received a total of ten Bronze-level packages.
However, most of them were one- or two-star, with only a few rare three-star items.
He opened them all at once.
[Congratulations! You've received the following rewards: Basketball Proficiency, Assault Rifle Mastery, Free Diving Proficiency, Singing and Dancing Proficiency, Free Attribute Points: 32.]
Basketball proficiency?
Cohen looked at his body stats. With his 1.9-meter height, why bother being a superhero? He should join the NBA instead!
With millions of dollars a year, he could sleep with beautiful celebrities and enjoy luxury cars, yachts, and exclusive parties.
Come to think of it, the Lakers had been champions for two years in a row—should he take them on?
Celtics' eight championships in a row? He could probably reach eighteen!
Wait a second, singing and dancing with basketball... Is the system trying to make me a pop star?
He continued opening the achievement package.
[Congratulations! You have received: Ability Upgrade Card.]
Now, this was something useful. As the name suggested, it could upgrade one of his abilities.
He currently had Night Vision, Compound Eyes, Dragon's Aura, and Infrared Vision. Which one should he upgrade?
Night Vision and Infrared were immediately ruled out.
Compound Eyes was one of his strongest abilities, especially when combined with firearms, proving invaluable.
As for Dragon's Aura...
Well, it hadn't been much use last time when he failed to woo Kingpin's wife.
One was combat-related, and the other... also combat-related. Tough choice.
After thinking it over, he decided to upgrade Dragon's Aura.
Relatively speaking, Compound Eyes, Night Vision, and Infrared Vision were all reconnaissance abilities.
With his mastery in hand-to-hand combat and firearms, he already had enough offensive power, but his defense was lacking.
Upgrading Dragon's Aura—if it could make his entire body invincible—would be incredible!
With a thought, he selected Dragon's Aura, and a warm flow coursed through his body.
The system display immediately changed: Dragon's Aura: Explosive Qi.
He didn't gain the ability to harden his entire body.
Instead, Explosive Qi was a burst ability that could instantly double his physical stats.
He could still use his regular Dragon's Aura, but now he could perform an extreme burst, sending out a small amount of Dragon's Qi to form an indestructible punch, hitting enemies from a distance.
However, this move consumed a lot of energy and couldn't be used often.
After allocating all his attribute points, his strength saw a massive boost.

Once his spirit attribute hit thirty points, the system notified him that he had reached the human bloodline limit.
He winced—did this mean he'd need to get bitten by a vampire to add more points?
That would make him vulnerable to sunlight, garlic, and silver, though.
But for now, it seemed there was no way to encounter other bloodlines.
Even if he did, it wouldn't help much. Bloodlines were usually inherited from birth; you couldn't just get a new one.
Would he have to rely on the system to extract them?
As the night wind blew past the car window, Cohen sighed, full of melancholy.
...
In a dark, luxurious office.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the city's lights sparkled.
"Wesley, how is the plan going?"
"So far, I've contacted Scorpion McDonald, Jumper Bartok, Mr. X from the Assassin's League, and your adopted daughter Echo Maya. Originally, there was a top assassin named John Wick, but he seems to have retired recently. However, the remaining individuals should be enough to form a strong hunting team. But, are you sure…"
Kingpin stood up from his large chair, smoking a cigar, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.
"What, you think I'm only after him because he ruined my first meeting with Vanessa, taunted me, and escaped?"
Wesley remained silent.
Kingpin exhaled, the smoke slowly descending along the glass. "I'm not killing him just because of that. He's going to bring us big trouble!"
"But right now, he's a citywide fugitive. The NYPD is looking for him, and so are numerous gangs. He hasn't been seen in Hell's Kitchen for days, ever since…"
"Since he fought me."
Kingpin's lips exhaled some smoke.
Wesley had a sneer on the corner of his mouth: " In the past few years, not many people have been able to escape from my men."
"Wesley, don't underestimate him, thinking that he is just a little person who specializes in killing street gangsters.
I have a hunch that he would change the whole Hell's Kitchen, even New York City!
I would never allow such an awesome person to exist! "
Wesley was silent: " I get it, boss! "
