Chương 35: Meeting the Yin-Yang Tiger
Framingburns Forest, Open Field.
Ren was currently having lunch with Lexie and the others. The cave they were heading to was far away, and they were in no hurry, so they stopped when it was time for lunch.
"It will take us a day to reach our destination, so let's find a place to sleep when the sun is set." Lexie, who was sitting on a log, spoke abruptly.
"Alright." Ren and her subordinates responded in unison.
"Ren, I feel you are still young. How old are you now?" Lexie asked curiously.
In this world, they could not judge a person's age by their appearance because they could change their appearance with magic or a skill.
Not only that, but awakeners aged slowly, especially those with high rank.
The only way to check their age was to use bone age appraisal skills or magic.
Appearance could be changed, but bone age could not be changed unless they used forbidden magic or skill to possess or seize another person's body.
Julia, Mia and Angeline turned their heads toward Ren, waiting for his answer.
"I'm eighteen, but I will be nineteen soon." Ren gave an honest answer because revealing his age would not harm him.
"What?! Eighteen?" Julia and Mia said in surprise.
Like Julia and Mia, Lexie and Angeline were also shocked, but they could control their emotions better than Mia and Julia.
"You mean you reached Master rank at the age of eighteen?" Julia still found it hard believe everything because she had never heard of eighteen years old Master rank awakener.
"You are not lying, right?" Mia added.
[Host, tell them to use bone age appraisal skills or magic if they still doubt your words.]
"I'm not lying. If you don't believe me, you can use magic or skill to check my bone age." his system told him that checking his bone age would not reveal his secret, so Ren did not mind it if they checked his bone age.
Julia, Mia and Angeline instantly turned their heads toward Lexie because she had bone age appraisal magic.
Even though they did not say it directly, Lexie knew what they had in mind because it was written on their faces.
"Don't you think it's rude to suddenly check his bone age? I'm sure Ren is not lying to us." Lexie suddenly felt bad for asking his age.
The trio's expression suddenly turned sad.
They were still curious about his age, but they did not dare to say anything after hearing Lexie's words.
Ren, who saw their expression, smiled softly, "It's fine, Lady Lexie. They seem very curious about it, so you can use magic to check my bone age."
The trio's face turned happy.
"Are you sure?" Lexie inquired
"Yes." He responded.
Lexie rose to his feet and chanted a magic spell.
A big magic circle appeared beneath Ren's feet, and he felt like an infrared machine was scanning his body.
Shortly after that, a number appeared above Ren's head.

"He is really eighteen." Mia said as she covered her mouth in shock.
Like Mia, Julia and Angeline were also startled.
Sure, Ren had told them his age before, but seeing it directly was different than hearing it.
"Vlizica continent would be in an uproar if they knew there was eighteen years old Master rank awakener." Julia stated.
Lexie and Angeline nodded their heads, giving a sign that they agreed with Julia's words.
"So, what is the purpose of your visit to our city?" Julia asked curiously.
"My hometown was destroyed by magical beasts last month, so I went to Nightshire City because it was the closest city from my hometown." Ren told them that he could not save his hometown because most of them were only at Apprentice rank or 1-star.
They only had four Master rank awakeners and two 3-star mages, so they could not do anything when more than ten thousand magical beasts attacked his hometown.
"Destroyed by magical beasts? Does that mean you are from Verneau Town?" Mia had heard rumors about Verneau Town from travelers.
"Yes." Ren said he wanted to try his luck in Nightshire City.
If his luck was bad, he would move to another city because different places provide different opportunities.
"We express our condolences for the disaster that befell your town, Ren." Mia also lost her family, so she could understand his feelings a little.
Lexie and the others felt even more sorry when they learned about his family situation. He was still eighteen, yet he had lost everything.
Ren smiled and said he was fine because he was used to living alone.
After talking for several minutes, they continued their journey.
They rested in an abandoned house when the sun was setting because walking in the forest at night was dangerous.
The following day, they left the abandoned house after breakfast.
After traveling for about four hours, they finally reached their destination.
Eagle Cave!
It was called Eagle Cave because the entrance looked like an eagle's head.
"Julia, Angeline, Mia, you guys stay here and guard the cave. Don't let anyone or any magical beasts enter the cave." Lexie did not want to be attacked from two sides.
This also could prevent someone from taking advantage of the situation.
Julia, Mia and Angeline nodded their heads.
They knew they would not fight the Ying-Yang Tiger because they were only at Elite rank.
"If their rank is higher, don't fight them. Just lure them somewhere." Lexie did not want to lose her trusted subordinates, so she told them to avoid fighting against someone stronger than them.
"Understood." Mia and the others responded in unison.
Lexie shifted her gaze from her subordinates to Ren. "Ren, let's enter the cave now. The Purple Moon flower is inside this cave."
"Alright." Ren responded.
As Ren and Lexie were entering the cave, the Yin-Yang Tiger was resting on the ground, guarding the Purple Moon Flower located in the pool.
The Yin-Yang Tiger was two and a half meters tall.
It had white skin with black stripes.
Unlike the normal tiger, the Yin-Yang Tiger had two heads: a female head on the left and a male head on the right.
Its eyes also had different colors.
The female head had a pair of beautiful blue eyes, while the male head had fierce red eyes.
The name of the female soul was Ryllae, while the male was Vesryn.
Even though the Yin-Yang Tiger was closing its eyes, it still paid attention to its surroundings.
They did not want someone or any magical beasts to steal the Purple Moon Flower because they wanted to use it to help them break through to 4-star.
[A/N= I will use 'they' as the Yin-Yang Tiger has two souls in one body. 'he' when the male head talks and 'she' when the female head speaks.]
"Hmm? I smell human." Ryllae opened her eyes and lifted her head.
"Is it that female human again?" Vesryn immediately skimmed their surroundings.
Right after the Yin-Yang Tiger rose to its feet, Lexie and Ren appeared before them.
"Female human, it's you again?!" Vesryn roared angrily when he caught sight of Lexie.
"You really don't know when to give up, huh?" Ryllae added.
"We meet again, Yin-Yang Tiger." Lexie smiled softly as if they were good friends.
"Female human, are you trying to steal our Purple Moon Flower again?" Vesryn inquired.
Unlike Vesryn, who was furious, Ryllae widened her eyes in shock.
'What a beautiful male human!'
Her eyes suddenly turned into heart-shaped eyes when she caught sight of Ren.
She had seen many creatures in her life, from magical beasts to humans.
However, none of them were as perfect as Ren.
Ren was so beautiful to the point that a desire to make him hers arose within her.
Of course, she still remembered that they were from different races, but she did not care about it.
She wanted to have all the beautiful things in the world, so race would not stop her from getting what she wanted.
"Male human, how about becoming my sugar baby? I promise I will give you happiness." Ryllae said something shocking.
