Chương 8: Chapter 3: Ice Dragoness
(POV, Dante Ashborn)
(Time skip: several days)
It has been several days since I came back from meeting my family. Nothing really happened during those days. I was eating, sleeping and training with Igris, Beru and Bellion to better understand and control my powers. However, one day during my normal daily routine, I got a report from one of my shadow soldiers that we got a visitor on the north side of the forest. I was genuinely surprised because as far as I knew this place was in the middle of nowhere and to actually get here, people would have to cross a huge distance. I told all of the shadows to get into my shadow, so that I could go and have a look who was our guest.
After 5 minutes I reached the place where the visitor was supposed to be, to not be seen I had used one of my abilities which was called Stealth, so not to be seen. I started to look around the place to find the intruder. After looking a bit around the forest, I found a very beautiful women. She was quite tall, with white as snow hair which reached her back. She had golden eyes and snowy skin. Her beauty stunned me and I thought that I fell I love at first sight, but I removed those thoughts very quickly because a person couldn't fall in love just for external appearance, you have to know more about person's characteristics, to fully fall in love. While this internal conflict was going on in my head, I could see how the woman lost consiuos and fell on the ground. I decided to help her, but before I could do anything, one of my marchalls Beru started to talk
Beru: My liege, I understand that you want to help this woman. However, this is too dangerous and I highly advice to leave her be.
Dante: Beru I think you forgot that I am Shadow Monarch. In this world I am the strongest or one of the strongest existences, and I highly doubt she can even slightly damage me. However, if you are worried. Let's seal her powers, then take her to my house.
Beru: if you want to do it this way, your word is a law for us.
I didn't reply to Beru and decided to seal her powers away using magic which was taught to me by grandfather and Tusk. After sealing her powers, I took her in a bridal style and took her to my house. I placed her on my bed and decided to leave her be and prepare something to eat when she would wake up. Also, I left some soldiers in the shadows to inform when she wakes up.
(Time skip: 2 hours)
(POV, Velzard)
After several weeks without food and with the wounds I got while escaping from some devils and other races, I reached a strange forest in the middle of nowhere and I hoped that I would finally have some rest. After I went a bit inside the forest, I didn't have any more strength to do anything and just fell asleep on the ground. I could feel how I started to wake up, but I was suprised to see that I wasn't in the forest anymore. I was in a bedroom which was honestly quite empty. I was afraid who could find me in the forest and what intentions did that person have to bring me to his/her house. I wanted to escape as fast as possible. However, even though my wounds were healed, I was still too hungry and tired to do anything. I couldn't even lift myself from the bed. Also, I felt how my powers were sealed. I became even more afraid, I wanted to cry because, if my powers were sealed I was left at mercy of a random person who I didn't know. After a few seconds a man entered the room. He was very handsome, with black like shadows hair, blue eyes and he looked like someone around 15 years old.
Dante: good afternoon, I assume you have a lot of questions, but please ask them in order and I promise to answer all of them.
Velzard: hi, can I know why have you sealed my powers?
Dante: I found you in the forest unconscious with a lot of wounds and I wanted to help you, but I know that people love to attack those who help them, so that we could have a civilized conversation I sealed your powers away. However, I promise to unseal them after we finish our discussion.
I didn't really believe him, but if he could seal my powers then he was much stronger than me, also in my condition if he wanted to do anything to me, he would already have done something, so it will be better to ask who he was and why he decided to help me
Velzard: could you tell me who you're and why you helped me?
Dante: of course. My name is Dante Ashborn. I am 14 years old and I am a devil. My grandparents didn't want to participate in a great war, so they decided to leave the inhabited part of the underworld and come to another place. However, old Satans didn't like it and killed my grandparents and only my father could escape. After a very long time, he met my mother and I was born. My father and mother lived in a different place which was closer to the new Satans. But, during a meeting, the old Satans faction found out about our existence and killed my parents, but before they were killed, they teleported me here, and for 9 years, I have lived here.
I could feel that he wasn't telling me everything, but his story had enough drama, so I assumed that it was something he didn't want to tell.
Dante: Can you tell me who you are as well?
I was afraid to tell who I was because when people knew my whole story, they usually betrayed me for their own benefits. Last time led me to be betrayed by my only best friend which resulted me getting ambushed by an army of dragon haters who nearly killed me, but I could escape here. I decided to tell him the truth because I was tired of running away, and even if he decided to give me away to get reward for helping to catch me, I didn't care about it because I thought that if I died maybe I could finally get some rest.
Velzard: my name is Velzard. I am an only sister to the two heavenly dragons Ddgraig and Albion. However, I am much weaker than them and I am only a high-level dragon. For this reason, all of the people from races all over the worlds who hated my brothers decided to kill me for revenge.For hundreds of years I was killing those who tried to kill me and for that reason I was called evilest dragon who was even worse than her brothers and everyone who I encountered, tried to kill or betray me. For hundreds of years I couldn't even find at least one person who would help me or become my friend. I am tired of all of these, you found me in the forest because the only person who I considered my best friend betrayed me and allowed my haters to ambush me. I could escape here but I was seriously injured but luckily you found me. I don't care what you do with me now because I am tired of all of these shit, I am ready to die if it will allow me finally to have some rest.
When I finished talking, I started to cry silently. I was so tired that everything that was left for me to do was to cry. I just wanted at least one person who I could believe, at least one person to call a family, but it seemed that it was too much to ask for. Suddenly I felt two very strong arms pull me into a tight hug, when I looked to see what happened, I saw Dante hugging me, his body felt so warm, so caring that for a moment I allowed myself to lean on somebody and just let myself cry.
(Time skip: 1 hour)
(POV, Dante Ashborn)
It felt like one hour has passed since she told me her story and started to cry. I was touched by her story that I couldn't help it and just hugged her in attempt to comfort her. After 1 hour, it looked like she finally calmed down and we could talk. I obviously decided to return her powers to her and help her. I know that it was still risky, but I doubt she could really put me in any danger if I could seal her powers.
Dante: I hope you calmed down, I am going to help youI couldn't really finish my sentence because I was interrupted by a loud shout from Velzard
Velzard: WHY ARE YOU SO EAGER TO HELP ME, EVERYTHING I CAN DO TO YOU IS BRINGING TROUBLES?!
Dante: I will tell you, but before that I want to understand that you told me the truth, for that can you show me your powers?
Velzard: Suprised... Okay, fine.
Velzard used her powers to destroy several trees by penetrating them with ice barrage.
Dante: okay, now I will tell you the reason while I was here alone, I was trained to inherit very powerful abilities and when I inherited that power, I promised that I will use it to help those that really need it, by this I mean that I will help people who do anything possible to achieve their goal but can't for some reason. I don't want to help those that do nothing but want to achieve something. You fall into the first category. I can tell that your whole life you worked hard to just find some friends and family, but couldn't no matter how hard you tried, but I want to help you. I understand that you can't become family or friends just like this, so I want to achieve agreement. As you know, we are in the middle of nowhere, so I highly doubt that your haters will find you here, so I propose that we will live together for two years, we will train together to become stronger and face any challenge together, basically we will always be together every second, any moment you find my company annoying or unpleasant, you can leave at any time you want.
Velzard: why do you want to do this, how it is beneficial to you?
Dante: I am here all alone and I need someone to keep me company, but at the same time, I feel like that I am not ready to leave it due to emotional attachment, so you will allow me to stay here for some time more and don't feel lonely.
Velzard: okay then I agree.
